Go through my reviews. You'll see that I eat and review a lot of teriyaki places. This one is the bomb. Best teriyaki chicken ever. A lot of places it's ready in a minute. This one took about 5 minutes and I know why. It was nice and charred on the outside and super hot moist and juicy on the inside. The salad was Ice cold. The rice was firm but fluffy. I plain told her on the way out it was the best I'd ever had and that I would review her on yelp. Usually I don't say anything. This one flirts with five star levels for the food, especially when you factor in the reality that they are a teriyaki place. What really sets it apart are the stir-fries. It's just another standard-issue little yaki shop in another standard-issue strip mall. You're heading up the Mukilteo Speedway, you're gonna see a couple more identical setups before you drive off the end of the dock. That's OK. Patterns are comforting. And the business architecture along the Speedway is nothing if not soothingly familiar. Even if you've never driven past it before. Anyway, you walk in and there are a few tables, a little counter, the usual bottle cooler and soda fountain. Lots of pictures of the food. They put in a lot of vegetables here, and that's one of the main things that elevates it past the ordinary. The stir-fries show a lot of green, and other colors, and they really resemble the photos on the wall. No wonder they want to show you so many pictures of the food. It looks a lot different from the usual $7.99 chicken-calrose-iceberg specials everywhere else. They have all the dishes typically offered at yaki spots, and the gyoza aren't bad. I had the asparagus chicken stir fry, and it had so much more green stuff than ya usually get. Unfortunately, the spicing options here are pretty lame. The chili sauce is more like ketchup. And even for me, the floors are a little dirty here. But the prices are fair, the food is really good when compared to its peers, and the service is so, so nice. Four stars without a doubt, and this might be my new go-to yaki joint when I am this far north. Just gotta start bringing my own hot sauce. read more

Niko Teriyaki is your typical strip mall teriyaki restaurant (and there are an abundance of these in the Seattle/Snohomish area), but it's fast, efficient, and gets the job done during a work lunch. It's definitely not the best teriyaki I've had, but I do appreciate the variety of things you can order, such as yakisoba, mongolian beef, and loads of other Chinese dishes. While I do find it somewhat unsettling that you can get Chinese dishes at a Japanese place, the convenience is nice. Super cheap lunch combinations, too! I'd say every lunch is less than $10! read more

Hubby and I stepped in for lunch today, for the first time. He got to Tofu teriyaki (vegetarian) and I got the chicken. So freakin' good - and we LOVE teriyaki. Portions were good size for lunch, the tofu had a crunch to it and came with a TON of veggies (zucchini, mushrooms, cabbage, broccoli, snap peas) and it was really flavorful. This pertains to the lunch special ($8.99). The prices are high considering in other areas it's closer to $6.99. I ordered the chicken with green beans. What I received was something that looked at like vegetable teriyaki, half and half with the rice; with very little chicken cut in small pieces and more vegetables vs. green beans. I'm not sure what to think but I felt this coupled with a teriyaki sauce that was not to my liking, just doesn't make me want to return. It's too bad. read more

I had the opportunity to try Niko Teriyaki today for lunch with a business associate, on his recommendation as it was very near to his office. It's a smallish place inside, and can get crowded so you may want to come a bit earlier or a bit later than the peak of lunch hour. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken with brown rice and I have to say it was VERY good. The rice as well. Service was good, but you do have to order at the counter and not at the table. The one thing I'd like to warn readers about - if you don't want "deep fried" and breaded foods, be sure to ask. Very seldom is Kung Pao chicken breaded and deep fried - it's probably the thing I order most often in Teriyaki places, and have done so for years. However, Niko heavily breads the meat and deep fries it in oil. So I wasn't able to have more than a small amount, as I no longer eat deep fried foods. Was it good? Heck yes! There's a reason though that deep fried foods usually are, and after losing 70 pounds 2 years ago I simply avoid ALL of them. Niko should take some time and relable their menu to indicate what is breaded and fried, and what is just stir-fried in the Wok. They use to offer larger portions, sadly not anymore. The portions have gone down and prices up. I ordered a spicy chicken and what I received was a pretty small portion. The chicken wasn't even spicy, dry and pretty lifeless and uninspired. Wish I could have liked it as much as I used but I don't. I think after paying $10.00 for next to no food I won't be returning. Niko's is a nice little teriyaki place that prepares the order quickly. They will make substitutions without fuss like mushrooms instead of broccoli and their egg rolls are yummy. The chicken breast teriyaki is by far the better of the two. Vegetables are fresh. It's all good. One of these days, the explosion of flavors is going to come through and I'll add the 5th star. read more

This is my favorite Teriyaki place out of all Everett. Well, I guess it helps that I live so close as well. It is a family run business and the owners are always friendly and helpful. Honestly, it just wasn't very good. I got the chicken and pork teriyaki combo. There wasn't a whole lot of flavor, and, unlike most other teriyaki restaurants, the portion sizes weren't great. My girlfriend got the sweet and sour chicken and it was "spongy" and did not get her highest rating either. With the plethora of other teriyaki options in the area, I'd just go elsewhere. read more

Only reason I cannot give a 5 star review is because the owners changed. The food is still legit and prices are fair but having worked at the Sportclips next to it for 5 years, I had a long standing relationship with the owners who made their food amazing every time. It's not on the menu anymore but I'm obsessed with the Teriyaki Chicken Salad. read more

Having never gone to niko's i didn't know what to expect when i walked in it smelled bad, like a septic tank had a problem. Against my better judgement i ordered the C3 combo beef teriyaki and general tso's chicken. The portions of the sides were very small. I paid 12.50 i expected bigger portions and better quality. Niko's reminds me of a lot of teriyaki shops I have been to. Nice people and good food. I have yet to go to a teriyaki shop that hits the 5 stars for me. The rice was cooked perfectly, They give you the choice of putting teriyaki sauce on your self and if you don't like the super sweet teriyaki sauces some places make. Niko is a good place to go.
