I've been a patient of Dr Clark for several years. I've always had the best care here. The staff and doctors are all approachable and helpful. I appreciate that they have a lab onsite. The only opportunity for improvement is response time for phone calls from the medical assistant. I get that it's volume and dependency on interactions with doctors, insurance and systems. It's a frustrating world we live in these days, so that's what every practice has to deal with. But I trust these people. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Darrin Saikley for years, and my experiences with him used to be great when he was at Village Medical. Unfortunately, everything changed when he moved to Sunny View Medical Center. My appointments here have been consistently frustrating, dismissive, and costly. During a recent in-person visit, I brought up concerns about severe back pain -- a major issue for me -- and it wasn't addressed at all. When we had a telehealth appointment shortly afterward, I brought up the same concern again, only to be told I'd need to come back in person, even though I had just been there. When I explained that it had never been addressed during my visit, he didn't seem to care. It felt like my concerns were being brushed off, and that was incredibly disappointing from a doctor I used to trust. The issues at Sunny View don't stop with the doctor. My very first visit here, I was overcharged even after confirming beforehand what the price was supposed to be. I had to call back later to get my refund because it turned out to be their mistake. I was also advised to get labs drawn in-office with their phlebotomist. No one mentioned at all that they only send labs through LabCorp, which my insurance is out-of-network with. Weeks later I was hit with a $780 LabCorp bill because I was never given a choice to use an in-network lab. Had I known, I absolutely would have gone elsewhere. Between unnecessary repeat visits, lack of communication, billing errors, and feeling like my concerns weren't being listened to, I've ended up paying far more than I should have -- both financially and emotionally. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering Sunny View Medical Center to be extremely careful -- or choose a different physician entirely. I never used to dread medical appointments, but at this location I truly did. read more

Horrible customer service! Front office lady is so rude and short with patients! We LOVE Dr Saikley but calling seems to be a hassle. 37 mins on hold only to get a rude comment and attitude. Never get calls back and you're Lucky to even get the rude lady to answer! We will be switching providers since she is so rude to the patients! i have been coming to Sunnyview since 2014 - since I moved to AZ. I am so grateful to have found this place and I love Dr Corcoran - he is amazing. The staff is usually friendly and responsive and I can leave a voicemail and get a return call the same day the most convenient part is the labcorp is on the premises so if I have to get blood drawn, I can just walk right over when things are busy, they try to get me on a waitlist to be seen in a specific amount of time. Dr Corcoran provides great care always listening and leading with empathy. Happy to have him as my primary doctor. read more

I started with Sunny View before Dr Corcoran started. They saved the best for last! After he became my PC I never left the practice. Not only do I think he is a great doctor, but he is an exceptional listener. He never seems to rush you out and has always given me great advice. Hes one of my favorite people too. read more

I have been going to SunnyView for what feels like forever. I absolutely love their staff and their Doctors. My son, now an adult, goes there also. I would never go anywhere else. Easy to get an appointment, the patient portal is excellent, and their follow-up is amazing. I HIGHLY recommend. read more

After a horrible visit to another medical center in an effort to find a primary doctor this place was recommended to me. I saw Dr James Doris and he was great. I have high cholesterol which I am working to bring down. Whereas the other location had me seeing a nurse practitioner who told me I could use Google for answers to my questions about changing my diet, I saw an actual physician who listened to me, heard my concerns and is working with me to resolve my cholesterol concerns. He inspired confidence as soon as I spoke with him, and I don't mind the drive to see somebody I can trust. read more

I have attempted to contact them to schedule an appointment numerous times every time it goes directly to voicemail and nobody will return my calls. Dr. Saikley is a wonderful doctor however everyone who works for seems to fall far below the bar. I recommend finding a new doctor. read more

Terrible customer service. Office was running late. Sat in waiting room for 25 minutes before being told my appointment was cancelled because it was now 25 minutes after the appointment time. It had already taken 8 weeks to get the appointment from the date I first called, and the next available was in another 6-8 weeks. Totally useless. It is with sincere regret that I am going to do what I said I would NEVER EVER do and, that is to leave this clinic and Dr. Doris. He found something very wrong with me when 19 other doctors did not. (Not joking--11 trips to ER, 3 to urgent care and 5 primary care doctors). But, sadly , this last appointment was Just abominable. I had an issue with my Endocrinologist (staff never called me regarding bad reading of a test) so I wanted to ask Dr. Doris if he would take over my care in this area as there is an abysmal lack of Endo's in Phoenix. The back office was freezing (as usual) but I had to wait for him for half and hour and I was halfway to being an icicle. Went to use bathroom afterwards and NO hot water ( as there has not been in the years I have been going there). REALLY?? A doctor's office with germs etc and no hot water in the bathroom. Then I went to have blood drawn. Due to bad phlebotomy experiences, I have it taken out of my hands as I can't stand it in my arms. She tried one hand and there was something wrong as she said it wouldn't test and then she mumbled something I didn't understand. She asked if I was cold and I said , "yeah I'm freezing". Then she went to other hand and got one vial . I asked if that was enough as he ordered several tests. She said yes. Next day I got an email from LabCorp that my tests were done. Went in and only one test was there AND it said the ordering doctor was my Endo and not DR. Doris????? I don't even know if this test is mine. The date was right but not the doctor. And, all the other tests he ordered were missing. I cannot put up with this as I am a senior and most of us are hanging by a thread anyway. I can't be running back and forth to do tests they missed so I called right after I got the test results and changed to another clinic. Which, by the way, has a van that will pick me up and bring me home. I no longer drive so this is fantastic. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Doris for helping me but, I cannot go there any longer. read more

I tend to have a lot of issues, and Dr James Doris is the best doctor I've had. He really listens, and that is so important. He is engaged throughout the appointment, even when he's adding to my chart. I have never felt judged. I can be completely honest without reservation. He does a great job of keeping waiting times down, too. It's another sign of his respect for his patients. Dr Doris makes me feel like he and I are a team when it comes to my health. read more

Dr. Corcoran is great. I would refer him to anyone, without hesitation. The office can be difficult to get an immediate in person visit. However they do offer telemedicine (which is awesome) if a in person visit isn't necessary. I am not sure what their requirements are to be eligible for this service. read more

I accidentally stumbled upon this clinic. My insurance referred me to them as an orthopedic specialist. They were not that, however I found a new primary care physician. Dr Doris is super nice and takes time to listen and comes up with solutions. The only negative is the front desk staff. It's only one person. The rest are great. read more

For many years, I was a patient of Dr. Doris' and, for years, he was a very good doctor. Recently, however, the wait time in the lobby was getting longer and longer to between 30 and 45 minutes AFTER the appointment time. Then, back to the waiting room with the nurse (or PA, not sure) for a few minutes. Then, another 15-25 minutes to see the doctor for about 5 minutes. So, I asked the woman at the front desk, who told me he was purposely overbooking his schedule. It was clear she was frustrated from constantly fielding customer complaints. She mentioned that other doctors in the office were not that unethical - they valued their patient's time much more. I wrote to the office manager asking to transfer to another doctor. I received a very rude response that they didn't allow that. I got a non-apology call from one of Dr. Doris' minions that basically confirmed what the front desk told me and that, if I didn't want to wait, I should get an early morning appointment. I decided to give them another chance (with an early morning appointment). I was about to book it when I received a letter in the mail from them stating that I had been discharged. Apparently, Dr. Doris doesn't like to be reminded of his lack of ethics when it comes to his patient's time. He wouldn't even authorize prescription refills until I could see another doctor, so I ran out of two important medicines. I saw the new doctor today who said that the amount of blood pressure drugs Dr. Doris had prescribed was exorbitant and unnecessary. So, I guess it's good he got his feelings hurt and kicked me out as I now have what appears to be a much better doctor. read more

I used to go here to see Dr. James Doris. Loved him, he was a great doc. He recently retired. Today I got a text from my pharmacy telling me I had a refill due and would I approve them contacting Sunny View? I of course said yes and went on about my day. A couple of hours later I received a text from the pharmacy telling me the prescription had been declined by Sunny View. I called them, and was told by an incredibly rude man, that I needed to "establish a relationship with another doctor" before my prescription could be filled. I explained that I had a physical a few months ago and that this was a prescription from that visit. He again, rudely told me that I needed to "establish a relationship with another doctor". When I explained that I just needed one of the docs to sign off on the prescription refill he said...you know what he said. I told him to fuck off, hung up the phone, and have now established a relationship with another doctor. Not one assocIated with with shitty fucking Sunny View. read more

I was discharged over 100 bill that was sent to collections during COVID which I paid...what a joke. They state their patient centric. If this is the way they show it, you may want to consider a more compassionate provider! read more

Dr Clark is excellent. He spends quality time with me as a patient (for 15+ years). He never ever rushes and always gives me time to discuss my health and ask questions. Dr Clark provides sound advice and only prescribes medicines after careful consideration and explanation of efficacy and possible side effects. His medical assistant is also very good and helpful. Having a lab on premises is very convenient. Good people in a good facility. read more

I have been seeing Dr. James Doris for about 7 or 8 yrs now. He is the greatest dr ever. He helps me when I feel sick or when I hurt myself like sprained my ankle or hurt my knee. And when I have to go in for a physical. I also have problems with high cholesterol and some of the times I can get it down. Just not always. But I do my best that I can. Also I like to say Is all the staff members are friendly. And my wait time isn't that long at all. I even show up half hr. Before my appointment time. I don't like to be late at all. A little more than a year ago I switched to Sunny View Medical from another practice as I was unhappy with the care I was receiving. I am so GLAD I found DR. CORCORAN! He is very pleasant and listened to my questions re: my health. I could not be happier with Dr. Corcoran. He does not rush in and out he truly listens. His staff is very pleasant and always polite. I went on Medicare two months ago, and was looking for a Dr.to go to.While scrolling through the names, I came across James Corcoran, who was my husband's doctor 8 yrs. ago before my husband passed away from cancer. Dr Corcoran came to the memorial for my husband, something I think few doctors would do. I've been in their office 3x in the last week, for the initial visit, lab work and women's well-check. I've been seen promptly and listened to, as well as receiving needed referrals quickly. I saw Emily for my woman's well-check, she was on time and great! I recommend this practice highly, at least from what I've seen so far. read more

They claimed my insurance for processing and they are in network. My insurance pay 9$ after adjustments. The doctor was unprofessional as I went there ONLY to translate some blood works as he speak Italian and English. He left the room and forgot to request the test so I had to even repeat myself. After the payment and adjustments the doctor stuff/medical center sent me a letter requiring me to pay 100% - not even the tot. amount plus what received from my insurance. I will report this at the fraud department of Blue Shield of California. After talking to my insurance they found out the problem was the office incapable of sending the right codes for proper insurance handling and coverage, after my call they looked into and change the code so pretty much my insurance had to do the office job. Then I only owned 5 $ instead of 200+ Sunny View Medical letter claimed. They just lost their client and I will make sure the state of Italy website is notify as this doctor should never even be in their list as a contact for Italian. This place sucks. I saw Emily today she is the PA I was in the examining room and talking with her about my situation when she was walking towards the door and she said "sorry I'm rushing out but I have a Phone call " and my visit was over really right in the middle of my sentence she walks out NEVER NEVER will I go back there. While dr Corcoran is nice and comforting getting into see one of the doctors is virtually impossible. I have never been able to get in to see a doctor or physicians assistant within48 hours and when you are sick that's essential. Additionally the staff there act as if they are doing you a favor by taking your money. I have never witnessed such nonchalant behavior at a doctors office. Ridiculous read more

I have been seeing Dr. James Corcoran for over 10 years. Dr. C is down to earth and takes time to answers my questions...unlike so many doctors these days, he doesn't rush through your appointment just to get to the next patient and I appreciate that. It's nice when your doctor remembers you and cares about your condition...I don't know what I would do if I had to change doctors. I referred my sister in law to him and she raves about him as well. My family and I were patients for many years, that is, until Sunnyview implemented new ObamaCare policies. My entire family was tainted with an unfounded and false diagnosis and as such certain members lost their life insurance. We were not even made aware of the diagnosis. It seems that Dr. Clark has forgotten that he works for the patient, not for the insurance companies. Since that experience, expert PCPs have agreed that the diagnoses were unfounded, so now we have an insurance mess to unravel. One of my sons is a very healthy young man and he can't even get life insurance due to Dr. Clark's false "notations" in the medical records. I think this is a serious consequence of negligent medical care. That on top of the fact that they are never on time, and it is nearly impossible to get copies of medical records from them, I cannot in good conscious give a positive recommendation. read more

I have been a patient at this clinic for many years and I see Dr. Clark. He listens to me and has literally saved my life with his knowledge and expertise on my health issues by quick referrals to heart doctors etc. The front desk is usually indifferent as is his med assistant which is fine because I don't go there to visit or make friends. Doctors are very nice and helpful, calling in appointments is another experience altogether. The woman I spoke to was extremely rude, short and argumentative. I needed a simple appointment and for some reason she argued with me on every point in the conversation, and acted annoyed when I asked about alternate appointment times. I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews. I've never had a bad experience here- Not that I'm here often. But I've gone in for an annual checkup and follow up. The office staff was friendly. Dr Corcoran was quite personable. The team that did blood work was friendly. They have an app that lets you view your results and helped me register. You can also schedule your visit from the app. The whole process was pretty efficient. read more

I see Dr Clark and Dr Corcoran here as my primary physicians and have since high school. They're both very efficient and warm people - ideal doctors. It's an older neighborhood near their office so I'm usually a LOT younger than the patients waiting, but besides that its a normal great office! read more

i went and saw the pa, bhakta, he refuses to order my test strips, i am diabetic and if i do not test, i do not know if i am high or low in blood sugar, which means i could die if i take med to lower a low blood count......but the ofc does not care one bit.......neither does humana. read more

I will never be back to this doctors office. I made an appt online on Zocdoc.com because it was fast and easy and close to home. First, the staff is not that friendly and they make you feel stupid for not knowing the procedure of checking in your first time being there. I waited about 45 minutes before being taken back to a room and getting vitals. Although the nurse was the sweetest of all the people there, she seemed flustered and very rushed so I didn't get to tell her the reason I was even there. I then waited another 30 minutes in the waiting room for Dr. Doris to come in. I told him I needed a pre-surgery physical which he proceeded to tell me he didn't know there was such a thing or what my surgeon needed. Basically I just needed a full physical and told him that. He told me he couldn't help me that day and to speak with my surgeon to find out exactly what they needed and to come back. He seemed very rushed as well. He also made some comments that I was a little shocked at regarding my body type etc. and gave me his opinion on the surgery I was getting (I was getting a small cosmetic surgery) - However I don't believe it was his responsibility to do so, nor was it wanted. I saw the Dr. for 5 minutes and got hit with a $120 bill. I ended up going to a different doctor, asked for a pre-surgery physical and he knew exactly what I needed. I was in and out in an hour. I have also spoken to other doctors asking if they knew what was needed if a patient comes in requesting that, each one said yes and proceeded to inform me what they would have done. I was very disappointed and won't be sending any of my friends to this doctor. read more
