I did not receive any instruction and the male therapist was rough/strong handed and did not speak English so he never told me how to communicate less pressure (or more pressure, nor was I offered water after what felt like deep tissue massage. Upon coming out of the room to pay I asked about water and she pointed to a water dispenser I. The back corner. When I expressed I would have liked to know how to communicate regarding the pressure she said and showed me thumbs up or down....I asked why was I not given those instructions. She said " I didn't know it was your first time." I reminded her I told her when I arrived AND when she walked me to the massage area where I told the masseuse it was my first time because I was just standing there at the massage area not knowing what to do next. 07.21.2021 After living in the area I FINALLY had the chance to get a massage here and it was AMAZING!!! I saw you could call or text to schedule an appointment. I sent a text and received a reply within a couple minutes and I was able to come in the next 30 minutes. Small lobby was clean and they offered room temperature and cold water for customers. The male receptionist was VERY helpful in explaining things and asking about any injuries or pain I currently have. All employees wore masks while giving treatments. The main room had multiple beds where other customers were also getting treatments. It was still quiet and the lights were dim. My massage therapist was Lee. I chose the 60-minute Combination Massage ($65) which included a foot soak, foot massage, arm/hand massage, and quick hip/upper leg stretches while lying down. Then we moved to a private room. I was able to take my mask off and Lee worked on my shoulder, neck and entire back. He found all the knots I knew of (and then some). He used the right pressure at all times and did a great job loosening up my shoulder girdle (rotator cuff) muscles. Even though there were times I was tentative because of my limited range of motion and shoulder injury, Lee did a great job starting easy then working up into harder pressure. He checked if I was okay every once in a while, which I appreciated. I will need to come in more often now and have him help fix my shoulder. Definitely worth the money!!! I love Sunny's and have been coming to this location for 10 years now. Every time I have a nice and relaxing massage, whether it's reflexology or i need a deep tissue massage. I'll always recommend this place to others. I will say, however, that the past 2 times I went have been a little different. I'm not sure if newer customers understand that it's supposed to be a quiet area, that means whispering. I know the business can't control loud customers but also my masseuse and the one at the station next to mine we're having a conversation at regular volume. First impression of the venue was not good. As soon as we went to the back I was caught off guard because I saw a bunch of people laying out in the open getting massages. I get massages very often and have never seen a set up like this so I was shocked ( and my bf booked this place so I didn't look at photos which is our fault but still. WHAT IN THE WORLD). They then proceeded to attempt to putt me by myself around all these random people and my boyfriend somewhere else which I didn't appreciate because my boyfriend mentioned on the phone we wanted a private room (I mean who wouldn't). I definitely got weird vibes. As far as the foot massage, I was expecting so much more considering it's a foot spa (shouldn't they specialize in feet?!). The massage was mediocre, the guy massaging my feet barely hit the spots that I needed even after me telling him to focus more on my heel. He also kept pausing throughout the service for some reason. Seemed like he focused more on my legs too. I was not satisfied with this service at all. The neck and shoulder massage was also wack, he didn't focus on my neck that much. Upon checking out I expressed how the foot massage wasn't what I expected even after I told the guy exactly where to massage. The OWNER SUNNY then proceeded to say something along the lines of "you should've told me where you wanted them to focus so they could understand. They don't understand customers and it throws them off when someone request something other than their usual technique". There is so much wrong with how Sunny the owner handled this. First of all, she made it seem like it was my fault I didn't enjoy the massage. If someone is coming to a foot spa I'm sure they expect it to be professionals that know the basic pressure points of a foot. Had Andy for my masseuse today. What a good guy! He listens when I tell him lighter or stronger and he avoids the areas that hurt. If you are not familiar with these reflexology/foot massage places, you would be shocked to hear that it is basically a full body massage. If you want more time spent on your back, definitely go for the back massage. I actually like the reflexology unless I have knots I need to get rid of. Basically you walk back into a room full of recliners and other people are getting massaged next to you. For the 60 minutes Reflexology ($25), you sit down and dip your feet into the warm/hot water as they work on your neck and shoulders. Afterwards they have you lay down and they fold a towel around your feet as they work on your head, face and neck. Then they cover your eyes while they work on your arms and hands. Then of course the most time is spent on your feet. After the foot massage portion is over, they tell you to turn over and they massage your back. At this particular foot spa, they put a towel over your body so they aren't actually touching your skin. I was feeling my monthly back pains when I came in here for 90 minutes Reflexology ($40) and it was basically all that I mentioned above but more time given to each part. My reflexologist Lin was really nice. He had a firm touch and he checked on me from time to time to make sure the pressure was to my liking. Took my boyfriend here for a date! I have been here once before and remember having a quality experience at a great price. I called the week prior to book a reservation and the receptionist was kind and efficient. When we came in, she had our reservation ready to go and we were brought back immediately. We both got male masseuses, Andy and Dan. They were both very nice and did a good job but applied pretty intense pressure at some points. We both had a hard time relaxing because of the sudden pressure and hard rubbing. I was informed that we just need to communicate with them about our desired pressure level next time. The man inside at the front desk was so kind and friendly (makes the business more appealing and welcoming)! He asked us what we liked, any issues or things to watch out for, and got us situated. I asked for very hard pressure but the woman who gave me a massage gave really light pressure and I kept asking for harder but I think she was afraid she was going to hurt me as I am a small girl but towards the end she finally gave me the pressure I wanted!
