Nice lil small chicken spot. The title says sunny's sub but they were selling everything in there but subs. Most people were getting the fried chicken deal. We tried it and it was pretty good. This place is right across the street from Morgan State University.

Sunny's was a staple for me in undergrad. Currently as I am older now, it's a once in a while thing. I recently stopped in and ordered a whiting fish platter. I was not impressed with the customer service rushing me to make a selection and was rude when I had questions about the menu as the tv screens were not working at the counter top where your order. It was replaced with poster board and writing. The lobby area was being cleaned when I came in the restaurant. Unfortunately this visit was a waste of 16 bucks. I made the error or ordering potato salad which I thought would be good however it was horrible. It tasted like home-fries with mayonnaise on it. The green beans seemed old and did not taste good at all. The half and half was way too sweet and the machines were not working. My rating was 2 stars as the fish was just ok. I for sure will not return.

My husband picked up a chicken box for dinner tonight. The service was quick. The food was fresh. The fries were tasty. They do come plain, so you can add whatever you want to them. I like the cut of the fries. The chicken was very tasty. Not only the batter was good, but the flavor of the chicken. It tastes like they marinade it first. It's really good. Definitely recommend.

This is my go to "chicken box" spot! The wings are always a good size, juicy and the flavor consistent. You pick how many wings 4, 5 etc. and the boxes always come with fries. You can do regular or western fries. To me western fries are the only way to go and I get an extra sunny sauce just for them. I honestly can't speak to the rest of the menu but I hear others getting subs, fish etc. and the place stays busy so I'm sure they are equally delicious. If you drop in and the line is wrapped around don't be deterred they are fast and efficient and the food is always piping hot!!

As a graduate of THEE Morgan State University, I know all too well that Sunny's chicken is Goated. It's not up for debate. It's not a nostalgic thing. Their chicken is legit, and is consistent. Hot, crispy, seasoned to the Gods. Spots like this should be protected at all costs. I haven't been since their grand reopening, and it was better than I remembered. The restaurant was clean and inviting, and I'm glad to see there's room inside to eat-in: a significant upgrade from their last storefront. Sunny sauce also doesn't disappoint. Pull up!

I'm loving that at 9:30am in the morning on a rainy Monday that I'm able to get fresh fried chicken oh and a nice sweet waffle to satisfy my southern cuisine taste buds today.

So let me tell you this from the jump, you want to try this.... no wait, you need to experience…read morethis! Boss steaks a sub division of Homemaid, is a pop up food shop and I think you can only find it on IG via @bosssteaks. I beg you, don't miss this. Food: filet mignon truffle cheese (American) Where do I start? First bite I said to myself, "Jesus". Although videos were posted on IG, the the videos did this master piece no justice. None. A cheese steak is not just a cheesesteak after this experience. If you know anything about good steak, you know that filet mignon is one of the most tender cuts of steak. Some might say this cut of steak is not fit to place in a cheesesteak. Let me tell you that this cheese steak will change your life. I'm sorry let me get to it; the meat was so tender and Although it was not it cut up into little pieces like the typical steak sub there was very little chewing involved. It literally melted in your mouth. This cheese steak is accompanied with your choice of provolone or American truffle cheese. You can also get the tri-colored peppers and mushrooms. I don't want to drag this out but I'm trying to explain to y'all that this was a life changing experience. I was willing to travel to Philly for a truffle cheesesteak that costs 120$. So at a bargain this lovely steak cost 40$. There is also a rib eye version that costs 35$. Additionally, you can also get a ribeye/mignon combo which costs 40$ as well. Complements of the chef: the cool thing is the cheese steak came with steak fries and and half and half(lemonade and ice tea). And both were amazing . The half and half was so good. I was like it was perfectly blended in a science lab to have just the right amount of each taste. The Parmesan steak fries were hearty and filling. Conclusion: I'm going to be honest it was too much for me to eat the entire meal in one setting. So if you have to re-heat I would use an oven. It was completely worth it and I will have this again. I don't think I can go back to regular cheese steaks now. This was high-end restaurant quality steak sub at a fraction of the price. Bonus: so I also had a vegan powered doughnut. Get this, this spot also has a doughnut shop called cloudy doughnut (on iG) this has that funnel cake appeal. Super light and just enough sweetness. They actually have a wide arrangement of doughnuts to choose from but they sell out quick.

Let me start with the wings because... wow. I've been on a mission to find a honey lemon pepper wing that actually has flavor, and these finally hit the mark. Sweet, tangy, peppery, and bold -- not that faint "maybe there's lemon in here" situation most places give. These had real personality. The smash burger was another surprise. I don't eat cheese, so I was a little intimidated ordering a smash burger without it, but no cheese, no problem. The meat itself tasted different -- richer, cleaner, and higher quality than your typical burger spot. The edges had that perfect crispy smash, and the inside stayed juicy. When the meat is that good, you don't need anything extra. Service was quick, ambiance was fitting and the food came out hot, and everything looked good enough that I had to grab pics before diving in. This spot is definitely going into my rotation.

Upon entering, you walk into a full service, but small, market specializing in Italian grocery items. The ambiance was homey, perfect for a small neighborhood specialty grocery. They also have a deli counter, meat counter, hot food bar, and Italian dessert section, to name a few. They also have pizza kits to take home to make your own and pasta and other food items prepared and ready to go in the refrigerated section. The pizza counter is located in the rear of the store. They also sold other items such as sandwiches. We were greeted by a pleasant young man and ordered our Italian sausage and pepperoni pizza. Scittino's has seating to enjoy your pizza in store or outside. Our order was ready in no time. We opted to take ours to go. The pizza was fresh with a great yeasty crust. The toppings were good and ample, the tomatoes sauce fresh with just enough cheese to pull it all together. The pizza was really good. Their house-roasted porchetta used a light layer of hot giardiniera, (marinated cauliflower, carrots, bell peppers, celery and Calabrian chili peppers), and it wasn't super-spicy. Perfect for me! They used "shaved Auricchio provolone", which happily had more flavor than average american provolone, and it melted enough to make a soft stretchy layer as a good replacement for more traditional stracciatella cheese. The star of the sandwich, the porchetta, was tender, juicy but not wet, very nicely flavored with tiny touch of its own peppery heat. The ciabatta had a nice chew, not crispy, not too soft. A very nice sandwich! The flavors could have been a bit more bold, and i wanted just a little more crisp on the pork. The whole sandwich was very pleasing. The "classic Italian" was very generously overstuffed with quality cold cuts: bright mortadella and capicola, thin tender prosciutto, flavorful provolone and romano. A good balance of lettuce, tomato, and red onion, lightly flavored with their savory herbed house vinegar & oil, and a light sprinkling of bright flavorful not-too-spicy crushed cherry peppers. Of course on their great fresh Italian bread. It was very tasty and satisfying. For the six-year-old we got a simple salami and mayo. It sounds ordinary, but it was a very flavorful super-thin salami and that perfect Italian bread. I was lucky the six-year-old saved me a taste :-) With a full little grocery store, we also added Berger cookies and several types of Italian cookies. The amaretto ones were especially light and well flavored. They melt in your mouth! Scittino's has a whole menu of sandwiches and pastas and chicken and sweets and salads, a nice selection of Italian soft drinks, and a full deli. We often get their giant 20-inch New York thin crust pizza! Tasty with a crispy-bottom chewy thin crust. This is a nice little corner neighborhood restaurant with a few tables and enough parking here and there. They make you feel welcome, and the food is good :-)
