Hands down this is the best cheesesteak I've ever had in Maryland!! The cheesesteak was everything I wanted and more! Hot, fresh, packed with flavor, and loaded with cheesy goodness in every bite. The meat was tender, the bread was soft with just the right amount of texture, and the cheese pulled it all together perfectly. Every bite was better than the last. This is definitely a spot I'll be coming back to whenever I need a cheesesteak fix. Highly recommend! The parking lot sucks but I also went during peak hours. Trying to see if this place lives up to the hype. When they first opened up I heard the stories of how you would have to wait 40 min to get one. They don't take pre orders so you physically have to walk in to place an order, then they will prepare your cheesesteak fresh. I have driven by before and the line has been down the sidewalk. Today there was no line at all, only two people who happed to walk in with me. I just ordered the original cheesesteak combo. Came with fries and a regular sized drink. Came to 18:10 so a little pricy. There is no dine in options and no public restroom so be prepared to take your food to go. I only had to wait 10 min until my order was ready. When I got back to my office my meal was still hot. They definitely give you an ample amount of meat. The bread was soft and fresh but not soggy from too much grease. The meat was high quality shaved ribeye. It was delicious! The fries were average. I only ate about half of them. Next time I would probably just get the cheesesteak. Let me start with the wings because... wow. I've been on a mission to find a honey lemon pepper wing that actually has flavor, and these finally hit the mark. Sweet, tangy, peppery, and bold -- not that faint "maybe there's lemon in here" situation most places give. These had real personality. The smash burger was another surprise. I don't eat cheese, so I was a little intimidated ordering a smash burger without it, but no cheese, no problem. The meat itself tasted different -- richer, cleaner, and higher quality than your typical burger spot. The edges had that perfect crispy smash, and the inside stayed juicy. I've found it in this Cheesesteak & Co in a humble strip shopping center that has a 7-Eleven on one end. The place was busy with a constant flow of patrons and wonderful smell of ribeye, onions and Cooper Sharp White cheese and ground beef for their smash burgers! They cook 'em fast in about 15 mins. I ordered a large cheesesteak with the Cooper Sharp, onions and mushrooms and paid the extra $1 to have the seeded roll. I also ordered the single-patty smash burger. The best thing I like about the cheesesteak was the seasoning on the chopped ribeye--it was delicious and tender! The onions and mushrooms gave it a nice robust savoriness and the seeded roll gave the overall sub a very light nutty flavoring. This cheesesteak just kills it, folks! I mean hell's to the yeah, this sub is phenomenal. And it's not expensive but the taste is first class! The smash burger also tasted fantastic, again all owing to the excellent seasoning of the beef. The only rival to this Baltimore area cheesesteak is north of Northern Parkway at Franks Pizza and Pasta in Parkville on Belair Rd. These 2 places cook up the absolute best cheesesteaks in Baltimore! Stumbled across this place on Instagram, and wow--I'm so glad I took a chance on it. The line being out the door right at opening was my first sign that this spot was going to be good, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Everything is made to order, reasonably priced, and incredibly fresh. There's no indoor seating, so if you're not local, eating in your car is your best bet--but honestly, it's worth it. Tucked off of Route 95, this takeout spot knows how to do a cheesesteak well. Even at 8 p.m. on a Friday, the line was out the door but they still promised my food would be ready in 10-15 minutes. The large cheesesteak with all the normal fixings and seeded roll was $20. The sandwich was absolutely packed with tender beef and caramelized onions, tucked into a hefty soft hoagie roll. Even after a long drive home, the cheesesteak stayed warm and was delicious. The fixings added a nice bite and a healthy addition to the heavy sub. They've clearly never been to Philly where you might stand in line for an hour before you even get to order, depending on how popular the spot it with foodies. Cheesesteak and Co is currently on the top five best cheesesteaks in/around Baltimore so that would account for the amount of customers these days. Franks in Overlea was the same way. I got the Original Cheesesteak, plus mayo. These sandwiches are HUGE, with plenty of meat. I pushed myself to finish half. Not because it wasn't delicious AF (cuz it was) but because it's so big! See my pic with Jeremy's arm, for comparison. I do wish that there had been more mayo, but that's a nonsense complaint against a killer sub. I came here on a weekend over the summer. There was a super long line extending out the door, took maybe 40 minutes before we were able to order. The line was disorganized once inside, and the space was small, so it was awkward to wait in there. Got a few things to share among the people I came with. - Large fake steak (huge actually, couldn't even eat half of a half) - this had kind of a peppery sausage-y taste for Impossible meat, which was interesting - Small chicken cheesesteak - small chopped up bits but not slices the way I feel like a cheesesteak should be? - Cheese whiz fries and tater tots There was like 2 small tables inside with two chairs each, and all the people waiting, so nowhere to eat there. They were anxiously looking out the door in anticipation of a crowd. There were already people parked awaiting the open sign. We were fortunate to be second in line. They took our order quickly. After a year of talking about it, I finally went today and ordered a cheesesteak with onion rings and tots on the side. All I can say is WOW!! Big, stuffed, hot and tasted awesome!! Don't come here if you are hungry. You will wait about 40 minutes. They are moving as fast as they can but it's just so much hype about this place. Once they take your order it's take about 15 minutes to get your food . I wouldn't eat here because it's just too small of an area. The store had chicken bones and other stuff smashed fries on the floor. The line was crazy and they wasn't a lot of order. They need to creat some line tape so that there is order when you walk in. This place is awesome!! Ordered two 8 inch subs. Which was well enough for the both of us. We ordered one steak and cheese with hot peppers and one spicy chicken cheese sub. Everything was so good. It wasn't to crowded so we only had a 10 minute wait. We decided to mix and match our sandwiches so that we could taste the difference between the two. So glad we did! We also decided to get the strawberry crunch cheesecake yummy! This is a carryout with only a few tables for seating. We sat waiting for our food and noticed the tables could use a wipe down. I finally made it to Cheesesteak & Co on a Saturday night and it absolutely delivered. I ordered a large Original cheesesteak with Cooper sharp and added Whiz -- and it was outstanding. Loaded with cheese, perfectly salty (in the best way), and the steak was tender. Easily the best cheesesteak I've had outside of Philly. I've yet to try Soko Butcher in Tacoma part but I've heard this place competed with Soko as the best in the DMV. It's located in a strip mall with decent parking, but be prepared for a line. We got there around 8:20 PM and there were about 30 people ahead of us -- which says something in itself. That said, the line moved pretty quickly and the staff kept things efficient. There's virtually no seating (just two small tables with two chairs each), so the setup really makes more sense for calling ahead and picking up rather than dining in. The only thing keeping it from being on par with the true Philly greats is the bread. You just can't beat that fresh-baked South Philly roll. If Angelo's Pizzeria is a 10, this is a strong 8.5 -- and that's high praise. If you're craving a legit cheesesteak without driving to Philly, this is absolutely worth it. read more

They don't skimp on the meat, the bread is excellent and the meat to onion mix is balanced. My one critique is this. It migh be a personal preference, but I thought they went too heavy on the salt and pepper. I don't think you need to spice the steak this heavy when you have all the flavors already in place. I stopped by Cheese Steak & Co on a Sunday around 4 PM after leaving the Steelers game at M&T Bank Stadium, and this spot really lived up to the hype. The store itself is small but clean, with decent lighting. There aren't any tables, and the line just kind of snakes around the front area, so they could definitely use something to guide people and keep everyone in order. Parking is also a little shaky -- the lot is small and usually packed -- but not impossible. You might just end up taking a short walk. There were about eight people ahead of me when I walked in, but the wait wasn't bad at all. It took around 10 minutes to reach the counter and another 10 minutes for the food to come out. The cashier greeted me, confirmed my order and whether I wanted the grilled onions, and the whole team behind the counter looked locked in. Even with a steady line, they moved efficiently and stayed friendly, which I appreciated. I ordered the 6 pc Honey Old Bay wings, a Large Bacon Cheesesteak, and Cajun fries. Honey Old Bay Wings ($9.99): Really good. They were still crunchy even after a 20-minute ride home. They could've been a little heavier on the Old Bay, and honestly the price is high for six wings, but the quality was there. I probably wouldn't order them again only because I came for cheesesteaks, not chicken. Large Bacon Cheesesteak ($20.99): Worth every penny. The bread is fresh and surprisingly soft without getting soggy, even after the drive. The sandwich was packed with meat -- easily enough to build another half a sandwich from what fell out. I added lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo, but with all that meat they kind of just blended in (in a good way). The bacon was chopped into the sandwich instead of strips; I could taste it but kind of wished for that crispy texture difference. Still, they use ribeye and season it perfectly, so you get a strong beefy flavor that doesn't get lost. Cajun Fries ($3.99): Crispy outside, soft inside, and the seasoning reminded me of Five Guys. Absolutely the type of fries you want to smother in steak and cheese. I wish they offered more than one size, but for the price they were solid. This place is getting a reputation fast, and honestly it's well deserved. People love to compare anything with "cheesesteak" in the name to Philly, but who cares? It's in Maryland, it's good, and it scratches the itch without the drive. I'll still hit my regular spots in Philly when I'm out that way, but it's nice to finally have something local that holds its own. Very small grab and go space. Walked in and knew it was going to be a very long wait but with about 10 people ahead of us it was a quick go. Service was quick and courteous. We ordered the mozzarella half moon, garlic parm wings, an original and a chicken bacon ranch cheesesteak. We sat in the car and ate everything while it was hot. The half moons *chefs kiss* the cheese pull, the crunch, everything was top notch and I imagine they don't travel too well so glad we ate those fresh. My husband's been wanting to try their cheesesteak since he read the reviews months ago. Luckily, the line only had 4 people when we went. The others crowding the entrance were customers who were waiting for their orders. Ordered a single smashed burger, 3 cheesesteak subs, fries, cheese wiz tater tots and a strawberry crumble cheesecake. The prices for the amount of meat you get are definitely great, but the taste of the subs was lacking. Maybe more salt and pepper might help? I discovered this place purely by accident about a year or so back. I think I ordered "The Pounder" back then and distinctly felt it was the best cheesesteak I've ever had in Maryland. I lived a few hours away at the time so I couldn't come back until recently. I convinced my coworkers to order from here and this time I ordered a large "Original Cheesesteak" and had them load it with several extra toppings. There were six of us who ordered various items from the menu and there was not a single complaint. We all enjoyed our orders and our coworker, that went to pick up the food, told us about how quick and easy it was to get the order. He said there was a line but it moved pretty quickly. Best cheesesteak I've had in a long time! It's so good that this place opens at 11, and 15 minutes before there's already a line at the door. It's amazing!! There's a lot of variety between cheesesteaks and there are also delicious sides. If you want dessert, there are huge slices of cake ready to grab and go. The interior is small, but there are still a few seats, and the restrooms are clean. Service is incredibly fast for the sheer amount of orders they get. Everyone is professional and friendly! Been following these guys on FB for a while, but the line was always 45 minutes or more to wait. They only now take in-person (no phone or online) orders. We went in for late lunch on a Friday around 1pm, only 15-20 minute wait. The bag that came home with us was HEFTY and packed.
