EGV Sewer again came out and quickly fixed our issue to give us piece of mind until the work was done. They came out on 7/8/26 and did the repair, we did have an surprise where we needed more work done; however, it was still overall 2k less than the other company. Had a few services performed in addition to what I actually needed done. 2.5 hours later I get a bill for 945.00 .. total sticker shock. Apparently you are not allowed to be shocked and have to not express surprise because they were ordering a part , but since I was surprised at their outrageous hourly rate they never ordered the 30.00 part. After calling twice to see if the part was ordered a smug man said that they will order the part and wanted to charge me 389.00 more to finish what they originally came out to do. Totally unprofessional installer that lied and said it was ordered and extremely not acceptable representation by their customer service guy who said " why would I order your part ? Installer told me you Thought our price was high ??? A phone call should have been made from the company .. not me calling to find this mess out and that a non service plumber expressed as his opinion. In February, they told me that the cost to replace a board in the furnace was $850.00 in one of my rental properties . In the past if they quoted me a price of $850.00 the bill would be $850.00. This time in February billed me $1125.14 after quoting $850.00. When I asked to talk to the owner's daughter, the lady on the phone said that the owners daughter was on vacation and she would call me back in a week. I called again in March and asked to talk to Carrie, the owner's daughter. The same lady again said that Carrie is on vacation and she will call me back the following week. I still have not heard from Carrie. The crazy part is the February bill had a traveling charge! They have never charged me anything called traveling charge. On February 11th no one in the service industry had a traveling charge! Since I was a customer for over 15 years and Carrie and her family has provided excellent service, when I have been asking them to call me back for over 2 months, I am of the opinion that the business was sold and the new owners are not honorable. I just had Nick come out to troubleshoot a water heater repair caused by a leak from a saddle valve…read moreabove my furnace heading to my furnace humidifier causing the pilot light to go out to to the pooling water and moisture at the base of the unit. The service team was able to fit me in same day by putting me on standby. Nick was able to diagnose, stop the leak, inspect that the leak had done no further damage, and ultimately get the water heater working within 5 minutes of his arrival. Better yet, he said it was a simple fix and did not charge me, but just asked that I keep them at the top of my list for my next job! Very friendly and presentable all the way. He also assessed my heater and said I probably had about another two years to go before needing to replace, and gave me a written quote for a new water heater and to replace the saddle valve with an angle stop. The angle stop cost was a bit high, but the water heater replacement was very reasonable (just being fair). I am definitely going to reach out to them for my next plumbing job.
