Eight 5-star reviews (9, counting mine) can't be wrong!! Our heater went out on a cold, Friday night in January. We survived the night with space heaters and immediately started making calls on Saturday morning. I saw the great reviews on Yelp and knew we needed to call Spartemp. We were NOT disappointed! Nikko was able to come out within an hour of us calling him on Saturday morning (called two other locations - one couldn't make it for several hours and one couldn't come until Monday!) Nikko came out - took a look at our heater and immediately told us it needed to be replaced (no suprise to us. The heater was 25 years old and had been "jimmy-rigged" the winter before to get us through another year.) We asked him to give us a quote on a couple of different scenarios (replacing just the heater and the heater w/ the AC) and also let him know we'd be shopping around. He was able to get us a quote by Saturday afternoon. We set up an appointment with 2 other shops and got quotes from them on Monday. By Monday night it was plain to see that the best deal was coming from Nikko. We placed our order with him on Tuesday AM and he was able to get everything he needed and install our new heater on Thursday. Note: During this waiting time, he helped us "temporarily" fix the heater so we would have heat. He was very professional, did a great install job and beat everyone else's prices!! Niko was outstanding and his prices are far cheaper than the big guys. The air conditioner decided to quit working on one of the most hot & humid days of the year. We called Niko first thing in the morning and he arrived within a few hours. (I should mention that he first suggested that it was probably a fuse and was willing to walk us through the repair over the phone!! Who does that?!) It was indeed the fuse, so he quickly had the air conditioner running. Knowing that the unit hadn't been serviced in a few years, I asked about pricing and he was very clear about all of the potential costs. After servicing the unit, he mentioned that the compressor on the condenser would probably fail within the year but didn't try to sell any "fixes"; he said we should just wait to let it fail. Niko was awesome!...a/c was down- hours before heat wave weekend...I had a guy check the a/c out from one of those BIG NAME (Letters) companies...that gave me the news that the compressor was bad and that i needed a new unit- that a 'consultant' would come out to review the a/c options and schedule installation... Niko came out and in an hour and some checking and wire checks and fuse checks- the a/c was up and running! NO COMPRESSOR NEEDED! I cannot recommend this guy enough. Although Spartemp was the highest quote I got, they were the most thorough in their inspection. They also were the best at letting me know what was going to be required, what the costs would be and why it was needed. Though, as I said, they were the highest quote, I felt that there wasn't going to be any surprise costs. They also came out and got the old unit to work long enough for them to get the installation tech out to the house. This was done at a cost, but was taken off as a discount to the price of the new install. The technician showed up on time and got right to work. I was informed by Niko that it would be an all day job to get all items installed, but the entire job was done by mid-afternoon. I would definitely consider using Spartemp again for any HVAC needs I might have in the future. read more

Can't recommend Spartemp enough. My furnace wasn't blowing any hot air so I contacted one of the larger commercial companies to come take a look. They charged $100 to look at the furnace and provided me a very expensive quote to complete the project. They were very pushy with the sale and it felt like being at a Used Car lot. I checked around locally and found Spartemp had excellent reviews. I called Niko, he came out and did a thorough inspection, first lighting the pilot light and then showed me WHY it wasn't working due to a faulty heater exchange. He wasn't pushy at all and gave me a quote for a new furnace installation that was almost $700 less than the big company. He came out a few days later and knocked out the installation. Heat is working great now and I can't thank him enough for the outstanding service. Will never call another company other than Spartemp going forward. You will not be disappointed. read more

This is the second time I have used Spartemp - once for my air conditioner and most recently for my furnace. They are amazing!!! When our furnace went out, I didn't hesitate to call Spartemp. Niko stopped by just a few hours and diagnosed the problem - a faulty heat exchanger. Though the furnace was nearly 10 years old, Niko called the manufacturer and learned that it was still (barely) under warranty. He tracked down a replacement part and drove ~30 miles to get it. He got my furnace working again in extremely short order - and only charged me for the labor. I did not even have to deal with the manufacturer - Niko did it all. Amazing service, prompt, friendly, expert technician, and fair pricing! What more can you ask for?
