I did not have a good experience here. All they care about is making the most money. They treat people like crap and think about how they can get the most money out of you. Just look at all the people that left negative reviews about this place. There is a common denominator: greedy and poor customer service. I usually don't write reviews, but for places like this, I don't want others to go through what I went through. Pain is already a headache but to have another headache with these guys.... NOT WORTH. I would give them zero stars if I had the option to do so. I had my MRI done almost one month ago, I've made three requests to have my files sent to a surgeon, I've followed every instruction that they have given me to get my files transferred, and it still has not been done. Meanwhile, I am in excruciating pain. They are impacting my ability to get treatment, because they can't process a simple file transfer. Stay away from this Radiology Mill. Extremely disorganized when it comes to scheduling an exam. It appears the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. I've had 2 physicians send an imaging exam order via the EMR. Very standard method nowadays of scheduling anything in healthcare. Can Sunnyvale imaging staff find the order??? Uh no. Customer Service here is a nightmare, they do not communicate and are quick to avoid responsibility. They neglected to bill my insurance, and never contacted me about my bill for years. After many attempts I finally got in contact with their billing service only to be told they refuse to bill my insurance because the claim is too old, would only take cash/card payment and "it's your fault for not paying your bill for three years" Maybe notify me I have a bill? or better yet don't blame your customers for your mistakes Scam if I've seen one, Avoid this place. read more

After a failed attempt at an MRI scan with a Siemens closed-MRI scanner, my orthopedist sent me to Sunnyvale Imaging to see if I would better tolerate their Hitachi open-MRI machine. It was night and day. First, the machine is much less confined and unlikely to cause claustrophobia. But even better, Elena, the operator of the scanner, took great care in making sure I understood and was comfortable for the 30-min procedure to follow. they have shitty ass customer service, if they didnt wanna schedule my partner and I , they could have rescheduled. the person in the front , she's nice . it's the two in the back doing the X-rays, the one with the accent and the other with the glasses. on top of that, when they took me out of the machine, the one with the glasses couldn't wait 5 mins just to redo it! she was beyond stressed out because I moved one time. the way they treated their customers is sad too, someone came to ask a question and quickly said if they wanted to schedule knowing they didn't understand and wanted more information. This is my first time going to this place and I am claustrophobic and it was the best decision that I've ever made going to this place because the open Mri helped me a lot with my claustrophobia technician was very nice. it took them 30 minutes to get my MRI brain MRI done to put on earplugs I went everything was done. Just got dressed and got my CD. The only thing that I don't like is that it's the copy for the MRI report doesn't go straight to your doctor. Not sure why but I have to find out. read more

Summary: Lack of directness and honesty in scheduling an MRI with contrast. Details: I called to schedule an MRI with contrast and asked how long it would take to schedule an appointment. The first person ( a guy) who answered the phone was very vague and did not give me a clear answer. I called a week later after my doctor sent them my order and a different person (female) on the phone told me that they could not schedule an appointment until they could get a doctor on site. So, I called back a 3rd time and I asked if they know yet and if not, when they would know. she then gives me the exact same answer. So I asked when they would know. She said that someone would get back to me in 2 weeks. 2 weeks goes by and no communication from Sunnyvale Imaging Center. I call my insurance company for advise and the agent contacts this provider. The same female that I spoke with picks up the phone and tells my agent that she needs to know "my availability" in order to schedule an appointment. Well, if that was the case, why did she not ask me for my availability? I call this provider back with my insurance agent secretly on the phone, and the female who answers gives me a different answer then she gave my insurance agent. This female on the phone (once she understands the insurance agent is also on the phone) quickly gives the phone to a guy (same guy I first spoke with the first time I called because I recognize his voice), and he responds "what's the problem?" He then gives a lot of excuses to my agent for not being able to know when they can provide a date. What he should have done was "just be honest and direct with the customer." Just tell the customer to not wast time here and go else-where for an MRI with contrast because they are not set up to do this here. Later on, a different guy from this provider calls me and is now upfront and honest about the situation and acknowledges that they are not best set up to schedule such a service and that I should go elsewhere. I appreciate this guys honesty, but the first 2 people should have said this to me weeks ago. This is wasted time that no one is getting back. read more

Had to come in for an MRI for my wrist due to a work injury. The staff here is really friendly and works to get you in and out promptly, even though my appointment started about 20 minutes late. I've had an MRI before but I wasn't expecting their machine to be so loud, so keep that in mind when visiting (they provide ear protection, both earplugs and earmuffs). The waiting room is limited on seating, which I'm hoping they fix in the future cause when I was leaving, there wasn't enough seats for people waiting. They have lockers to lock up your belongings if you need to get imaging done, and it's interesting how they have free snacks and drinks in the waiting room. Parking is behind the building and is a little limited. Overall a very positive experience here. read more

The process of getting an appointment here was challenging. I have claustrophobia and the guy making the appointment wasn't super friendly. He called the day before and I couldn't answer because I was in a meeting. He called 1.5 hours later and I was still in a meeting. Then he texted "no confirmation cancel appointment.". It's not even a real sentence. I wasn't impressed at all with him. I did not sleep the night before because I was so nervous. I had Elena help me and she is seriously an angel. She made it easier. She calmed me. She let me wear my own noise cancelling headphones. She was very kind. I'm proud that I did this. I was in the open MRI and it really helped. I will go back here in the future. If there was a possibility for zero stars, this Imaging Center has surely earned it. I was approved by my insurance and medical provider for some imaging. I provided all the required documents to the location to review/approve. I was told I would be contacted once all my documents were approved, don't call us, we'll call you. Well, 7 days later still no communication, calls to the location go unanswered. When a person is in pain and they're trying to get to the root cause of the issue, you want to get your imaging done asap in order to start a course of treatment right. This location does not seem keen on providing that kind of assistance. I had my doctor send my referral to another location and was able to get an appointment set within 2 days. Guys, pay attention to the other reviews there's a problem at this location that has resulted in some really big issues with other people. read more

I had an X ray 2 years ago and I had a small amount bill with them after insurance covered, I never receive the bill because they took whole year to send me the bill but I already graduated and moved out. they didn't even try to text me or email me. went in the MRI room to begin my procedure. Before going in the room I explained to the technician that I suffer from claustrophobia which causes me to have severe anxiety attacks. I asked her to have everything prepared that she needed to do, before I entered the machine. She responded that everything is set up, " I have been doing this for 30 years." She showed no compassion or concern for my condition. My response was that "I do not care if you have been doing this for 100 years, I need you to understand my condition." This completely affected my calm mood. The technician, Susan, asked me to remove my necklace. She volunteered to do it for me. She took off the necklace, but it became tangled, because she failed to attach the clasp, which only served to raise my level of frustration. Susan placed me in the machine. The procedure started. I was able to get to the last two segments. While in this segment, she advised me there was still five minutes remaining, realizing this totally increased my anxiety. I felt my panic attack coming. I told my husband I could feel it building up. He told me to try and hang in there, that it would not be much longer. But, I could no longer endure the anxiety I got out of the machine. Susan abruptly came into the room and said: "what are you dong? why are you getting out?" She said this is a first. I said you need to understand about patients with claustrophobia. There was no concern or empathy in her tone. I was very upset by her tone and lack of concern over my major panic attack. I raised my voice and told her I did not appreciate her attitude. She said that although there were two segments left, there should be enough for the doctor to evaluate. As I was going to the dressing room, Susan loudly exclaimed, "I will never do her again." This comment was loud enough to be heard by staff and patients. It was very unprofessional and again raised my level of frustration with this experience. She came up the front lobby and made derogatory comments about me not completing the diagnostic. I asked to staff to make a notation that I did not complete the diagnostic because of my panic attack. I would have expected a more compassionate and concerned attitude from someone with thirty years experience in the field. It is apparent that Susan needs additional training in order to be responsive to her patient's needs. When leaving I asked to have the manager or owner of the facility to please call me so I could express my concerns of my traumatic experience. Very similar to other one star reviews below. I would try to be nice but was just treated harshly. Picked up a CD with my imaging and went to an appointment with a surgeon. Surgeon pops the CD into the computer, he takes it out, looks at it, nothing. I was given a blank CD, no data. I ended up wasting 2 hours and a copay to find out nothing from my scan but to have a nice chat. Front office was unwilling to discuss even some sort of reimbursement for the lost visit and wouldn't let me appeal to management. I guess the MRI doesn't come with the actual data? When I suggested that I didn't get everything I paid for the person at the front desk snapped back with pretty much the words: "you paid for the scan, you got the scan". Wow, that's only a few steps away from Starbucks pouring 8 ounces of coffee on your lap and saying, "here you go, one cup of coffee". Worse, the way I understood it from the surgeon, he'd rather that I'd gone to a different lab anyway for "technical" reasons on the imaging. I rarely review preferring to let things work themselves out unless its to give 5 stars or if there is something the public needs to know. This one really takes the cake. read more

I went to this place Thursday morning and was told they need to contact my insurance company to verify the info. They told me they have Friday's appointment available and will contact me by the end of the day Thursday. I didn't get the call. So I called them Friday morning and here comes the nightmare. An EXTREMELY RUDE lady picked up the phone. She claimed my name was not on the system at all and they don't have any info related to me. A total NO! This place is utter crap. Bunch of thieves. First of all they overcharged me giving some BS reason for insurance limitations, being an immigrant I couldn't fight much since i fell prey to their illogical reasoning on insurance deductible and also I was in pain and needed to get my X-ray done. After a month they kept sending me mails that I have payment dues to them, for continuous 3 months I have gotten their reminder mails for more payment. When I contacted my insurance, they said that this place didn't claim the total amount I paid to them and so because of that now they are sending me payment due mails. The only benefit of this place is that they can schedule you quickly. For whatever reason, the images were blurry/angled peculiarly and of no use to the surgeon. The billing department was slow and does not check their own claims. I struggled for months to get them to acknowledge (with proof through my insurance) that they were fully paid already. They did not call back nor email back at their provided contact window. They ended up reporting me to collections for a bill I paid. It took me nearly a year to rectify the situation with them which was wasted time, effort, and put my financial history at risk. Based on my documented experience, I sincerely cannot recommend this location. note: edited at Sunnyvale Imaging Center's request to clarify as they support the quality of their MRI technicians. I will say one person, Alina, was the one highlight of the experience as she rectified a year of problems as soon as possible. I was emailed about a unfavorable yelp review within a day of sending it which I really wish was my experience with billing in early 2020. They will rip you off. They made me pre-pay $360 as their estimate of what I would owe after billing insurance. After insurance processing, my share was only supposed to be $62. All the rest my insurance paid directly to Sunnyvale Imaging. So I overpaid them by $298. They never send me a statement of account. They never sent me a refund. When I would try to contact them about it I would just get runaround. No reply to email. No callback from billing. They are crooks. read more

I was here for a hand x-ray recently and the service was great. Usually they accept walk in appointments, but due to COVID they have begun scheduling. I think this is a very safe move on their part. I went in for my first MRI and I was very nervous and in a great deal of pain. I've had horrible sciatica for 5 weeks. Everything was easy here and they were very efficient. I signed in, filled out paperwork, changed out my my clothes, was taken right back where the MRI technician explained everything. My scan took about 20 minutes. Thankfully I got a pillow for my back and some music. Everyone was nice and I'm glad there wasn't any hassles given my pain level. I will use Sunnyvale Imaging again if I need X-rays or any other imaging. Thank you! read more

Easy to find, with ample parking. Waiting room was very clean and pleasant, complete with healthy snacks and complimentary refreshments, most appreciated on a day that happened to top 110 degrees. The staff were wonderful: Jennifer, who scheduled me by phone; Yolanda (?), who greeted me at the front desk; and David, who did the MRI. It's easy to become surly dealing with so many people, many in pain and some of whom inevitably will not be nice. But all three of these individuals were exemplary in terms of their pleasant demeanor and the quality of customer service they provided. My CD was ready just minutes after my appointment and the preliminary report was emailed to me, after I gave my permission in writing, shortly thereafter. The turnaround time was truly amazing. (The final report arrived in the early morning of the next business day.) Speaking of "self-referral" (getting an MRI, without contrast, done without a physician's order), this is one of only two places in the area I was able to locate that offer this option, which makes it rather unique (the other place I found is in Fremont). TIPS for Yelpers: 1. Plan on arriving at least 30 minutes in advance because it takes time to complete all the paperwork and it may take time to park, wait in line and so on. 2. If your appointment is scheduled for 3 pm, for example, don't count on getting called in at that exact time. Allow at least an hour for waiting and half an hour for the imaging, depending on what you need done. It's very difficult for such a facility to run on a precise schedule, so make things easy on yourself by cutting yourself a lot of slack around the morning or afternoon of your appointment. 3. Unless you're being accompanied by someone who will hold onto your things in the waiting room as the imaging is done, leave any valuables that you don't need to carry with you in your car trunk or back at home. You will need to put your things in a locker and although it is locked, you will probably feel better if you don't store valuable items there. Scheduling was smooth I received a call the same day the referral was sent over and was scheduled the following day they went ahead and got authorization from my ins that quickly! Which was great! When I went in for my appointment I Was pleasantly surprise! Very clean there was a tv, music,snacks, water and coffee!!! I was referred to this place for an MRI in my lower back. They had called me before hand to ask me a few questions and I had told them I was very nervous and am claustrophobic. They set me up with an open MRI in a very comfortable room. The lady who was proctoring my MRI made me feel very safe and comfortable there, she even put a blanket over me since I was a little cold. Overall this place has a kind and caring staff team and all of them really do put their patients first and you can clearly see that through your whole visit. Hopefully I will not have to be coming back, but I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking to get some kind of imaging done!! read more

She ruined the experience on the front-end and upon leaving. She was rude, curt, abrupt, and seemingly uncaring. She treated me like I was a nuisance to her day. I had to get a abdomen ultrasound, and my doctor referred me to this imaging center as they took my insurance (United Healthcare). The ultrasound was extremely interesting as the technician (forgot his name, but was an older asian gentleman) explained what was on the screen with detail. I now have a greater appreciation of my anatomy! 5-stars, would love to watch the show again if I have to. read more
