I've been here a couple of times now and I enjoy a break from the regular fro-yo/ice cream parlors. If you're a newbie, I highly recommend their mango suno (shaved ice). The mango suno has a pleasant, creamy taste, but slightly watered down flavor. I usually get it in the smallest size b/c they're quite expensive. I get lychee jelly and/or mango jelly on top. I used to get kiwi syrup, but man they put too much syrup each time I get it to the point where it's like I'm eating syrup from a can. My mom has tried one of their specialty creations, which are loaded with tons of topping and doused with syrup. She didn't like it too much b/c it was way too sweet due to all of the syrup. I'd recommend choosing your own toppings. They'll even let you taste some of the unusual toppings before picking it. read more

Oh dear lord.... I tried the green tea shaved ice without red beans and now I'm addicted! I got it today with mochi and condensed milk and it was delicious, but I really want to try it with no toppings at all! I like taro too... maybe I'll try the taro topping next time... I was a little overwhelmed of what I wanted to order but ended up ordering the red bean green tea suno. I had green tea suno (shaved ice) topped with red bean, mochi, and condensed milk. It's an item on their menu. I was disappointed with their green tea flavor because it tasted really powdery and it got boring after a few bites. The red bean is a really good topping. I took a few bites of my cousin's mango suno and it was amazing! It was fruity and delicious! I definitely recommend the mango over the green tea suno. read more

Tried taking a few friends who were lactose intolerant who were looking forward to having some shaved ice. Suno had a soy-base flavor which catered to both vegans and lactose intolerant individuals. However, when I got there, I learned that they discontinued the soy ice and was totally disappointed. The staff working was extra friendly and tried her best to point out other non-dairy options which was pretty much the teas. I came here with my girlfriend for dessert. There was only one employee so the wait was very long. They did have daily specials so we got a free drink, black milk tea, which was overly sweet. We ordered a fruity sensation suno but what we received did not match the pictures. They were very stingy with their fruit and it was too sweet. They used a lot of syrup to make up for the lack of toppings but the effect was too sugary as well. Wouldn't come again. read more

I like the concept of shaved ice but I think the condensed milk kind of put it over the top for me. My boyfriend ordered the banana split while I ordered the volcano. They were both tasty but I wish they would allow you the option to order a small in these because their "value" size is just ridiculously large. I have a pretty big sweet tooth but I could only have about 7 bites before I couldn't eat anymore. I can't believe I'm saying this but I think there's almost TOO much sugar in these desserts. I've been here twice, both times were wonderful. I was greeted with a bubbly personality and a smile. She offered suggestions, even offering ways I could get my order but be cautious of my son's food allergies. I ordered two different menu items on my trips, but both were good. I would like if the crepe was warmer...It was freezing. I think it would be divine if it had a little warmth on it, I have no idea how this would work on a take out order with ice cream...but just think of any other warm dessert with ice cream on the side. :) YUM! read more

I first learned about SunO Dessert through some college classmates--and the first time I went, I loved it! The drinks, the desserts, and the cheerful atmosphere. My first SunO was actually out on Jimmy Carter, but recently I've been coming to the one on Decatur (it's closest to where I live, but I have to drive 30-45 minutes just to get there...) and the employees there were so friendly and fun to chat with. My boyfriend and I are sure to come back more often than ever, and I really recommend coming to whichever SunO is closest to you. I love the concept and desserts they have here. I highly recommend green tea shaved ice. There's not an abundant amount of seating but it's better than a lot of places down town. Three booths I think and some window seats/tables. Definitely different than other places around. They're desserts are so pretty too!! read more

Majority of the time, they replace the order if they messed it up. This week I went to go get a Taro tea without bubbles, and a mango slushy with bubbles. I clearly told him that I didn't want bubbles in my Taro tea but he wouldn't live up to his mistake. Also, the same guy said some rude remarks about my order to another worker that my order was a "bad order". It's okay though, the other employees are nice. Vee is the best. My review is solely about their bubble teas. I tried their regular black milk tea, thai milk tea, and taro milk tea. In general, their drinks are slightly watered down. Their thai tea was definitely worth the hype, but the taro milk tea was gross... Probably the WORST taro milk tea I've ever had. I'll get their regular milk tea and Thai tea every once in a while to fulfill my bubble tea cravings, but if I could, I would stick to Kung Fu tea on Buford hwy / Duluth for the best bubble tea experience. read more

When I was in line the employee chose to serve two customers who came in the door after me as it seemed she knew them personally. Although the employee--who was taking orders as well as preparing them--was wearing gloves, she did not change them between orders and wore the gloves while taking payments, handling cash and credit/debit cards undoubtedly causing cross-contamination. read more

The shaved ice, not very good - tastes like very weak sorbet that has more ice than flavor. The boba, not good at all - would rather drive 20 minutes to get some decent boba, with flavor and fresher tapioca. this was horrible!!!! i use to come in 2011 and early 2012 and after may 2012 they have been down hill!!!! its nasty!!! i saw 8 roaches in my last 2 visits!! the back of the store its disgusting and customers have to past by all that to use the nasty bathroom and see the horrible kitchen! the servers are rude!!! especially the one with the glasses!!! the product is good but until i get better service my whole family wont come back....i mean all i asked for was more cond. milk! he said its .75 cents more....but gave it to his "friends" for free!!!! actually his friends didnt pay for anything and they got at least 50$ worth of stuff for free. here is my advice SunO, hire a new staff (or get the old ones back) and get rid of the ones!!! Hubby and I went in for a treat last weekend to try something new. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Our experience started out great. After pondering the menu, we both ordered a SunO. Then, we go downhill. We both felt so sick afterwards, for hours. Nothing tasted fresh. The taste in general wasn't on spot. Sad. I'll stick with fro-yo from now on. I love this place! Friendly staff, delicious desserts. My favorite is the original suno with lychee and a flavored syrup. The smoothies are a little too sweet for my taste so I stick with the suno. It's similar to shaved ice. read more

Suno has been really awesome in the past, great customer service and yummy treats, but the last few times I've been there it was INFESTED WITH FLIES. Every time I go their are more bugs and it's thoroughly disgusting. Someone should call the health inspector! read more

My daughter LOVES IT!!!!!!!!!!! We go there frequently and my daughter always gets the chocolate shaved ice, with extra chocolate syrup and extra sprinkles....Something I call "The stomach ache delight", but she likes it. I normally get the regular with some fruit or a slushie. read more
