The ramen noodle flavors that I have wanted to try.
    Corinne B.

I was looking for some ramen noodle brands for a while that I wanted to try, and couldn't find elsewhere. I had tried the Carbonara flavor (creamy and spicy), but wanted to try Quattro Cheese and Cream Carbonara - and they had it. I also added Cheese flavor as a wild card, and I added Chapagetti to the list as well (I had already tried Neoguri, and it's a spicy, seafood tasting ramen). Good service. It's a market, so I wasn't expecting ambiance. It's a great store!

Sunrise is such a great Asian market! They have a huge variety of items like frozen dumplings, vegetables, ramen, ceramic bowls, tea pots, and so much more. Employees are very friendly. Store is affordable/reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend coming here, especially if you are looking for something specific that can only be found at an Asian market-they probably have it.

Visiting from the San Francisco Bay Area, I was in search of Asian Markets in Eugene for my Asian shopping needs. There are 3 that I could find in town and this one in particular offered an extensive selection of Asian products including but not limited to Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Filipino, Indian, Indo-Chinese. From the sauces and seasonings to rice and ramen, living ware, cookware, tea pots, even a taiyaki pan, fresh Asian produce, tofu and there was no shortage of snacks!! They carry many popular Asian snacks--shrimp crackers, honey butter chips, rice crackers, wafers cookies, choco pies, salted egg chips, etc. Just like home! Surprisingly they also had a good selection of Hawaiian products--Aloha shoyu, Hawaiian Sun, manapua, etc. At the back of the store there is a deli and you can order meals to go (the sign indicates "made to order") ranging from fried rice, noodles, bulgogi, stir-fry, teriyaki. Right next to the deli is a refrigerated section where you can buy different kinds of kimchi and Thai curry simmer sauces. The store is brightly lit, shelves are well stocked and the front-end staff is friendly. While this visit exceeded my expectations, keep in mind this is not on the same level as HMart or Ranch 99 supermarkets. It was surprising to find such a wide variety of Asian products 500+ miles away from San Francisco and I now have the option for me to purchase locally instead of sending it to my son or hand carrying.

Lots of dry goods. I was hoping for more green vegetables. Stopped by the deli section on Sun., and they don't cook to order. They some prepped items, so I ordered a spinach pork bun. Not very good and overpriced. They had quite a few Korean side dishes. I loved their fresh kimchi with greens. They also have a Chinese medicinal section.

Good place to shop for various ethnic food stuff - not just Asian. Indian and Pakistani food items here. Small place and busy. Parking lot. Plus: lots of Manju and mochi. Bags of baby book choy.

Sunrise Asian Food Market was a nice find while spending some time in Eugene. While not a huge Asian store, they are packed to the brim with a nice variety of products. I called ahead, they answered the phone quickly, were friendly and had exactly what I needed...Shaoxing rice wine. I did a quick spin through the store and also found: - A 100 count box of Maxim Mocha Gold Coffee (sometimes I just want a fast cup and don't have the time to French Press). - S&B Golden Curry (great for a quick spicy vegetable curry over steamed rice. - Fukujinzuke (seasoned vegetables) which is the mandatory (at least in my book) cold, crunchy, sweet & savory vegetable relish that must accompany Japanese Curry. This is probably the largest Asian Grocery in the Eugene/Springfield area, so if you are in need, this is the place!

They had everything that I was looking for in this tightly packed store. I also found a few things that were tempting enough to buy.

Nice variety to choose from. Very pricey. Aisles are narrow so navigating with a cart is a pain

Ask the Community - Sunrise Asian Food Market

Do you have super golden bihon and kaong, please put the price so i can send exactly?

Yes, we do have both. Kaong bottles we have are White, Green, and Red.

Do you sell sashimi quality fish?

Do they sell deep fried soybean cake? It looks like spongy tofu.

The product in stock depends on what he can get in at the time. I have seen it there before but you will have to call and ask before going in.

    Do they sell mochi?

    Yes!

Is this place closed for good? Went there yesterday and their front door was closed.

Fred Meyer was the original one stop shopping spot. When I was growing up it was kind of the fancy…read moreplace--we didn't shop there a lot because it was more expensive than Safeway or Shopko or whatever. It's gone downhill in a huge way, which probably in part started with the acquisition by Kroger. My mom needed to stop here for something today so I went in to check out the kid's section. They had some cute stuff and a pretty good sale happening so I ended up buying some shirts, dresses, pants, a coat, and some other things. As part of the sale was a $10 off coupon for purchase of $50 or more. We got to the checkout and I asked the woman who was ringing me up about one of the prices, which hadn't rung up correctly. She said that I needed to have my card and since I don't have one I put in my sister's number. It wasn't bringing up her account so I said I guess I needed to get a card, and the cashier said that she didn't know if she had any at the cash stand. I tried a couple more times with my sister's number with the same result so I said I'd need to get a card and she said the same, like that was the end of it. I mean, I wanted a card of course so I could get the discounts; if they didn't have any at that cash stand, where would I get one? She did find one and scanned it in, so things looked good. Then came time to scan the $10 off coupon. It wouldn't ring up. She tried it two or three times and it didn't reduce the total by a penny. Again, the cashier was kind of neutral about it and just said I must not have purchased enough stuff. My total was $93 so that was not the issue. The cashier again just was ready to leave it at that until I asked if there was a manager who could help, so she called over the manager. They kept insisting that I hadn't spent enough money or something because the coupon wouldn't work, but they couldn't articulate why and there was nothing on the coupon that said it shouldn't be applicable; in fact, it specifically stated that you could use it with other discounts and coupons. I insisted that they honor the coupon since they couldn't tell me why it wasn't valid except to say that it wasn't scanning. The manager called someone else and I guess was told to just start putting in codes until the right amount was taken off, which they did; first $5 came off and then they entered one that lowered the price to $73. The manager then said that because it had taken off more that nothing in the purchase would be returnable. What?? I was buying children's clothes, and kids clothes are not always the most accurate in sizing (especially with a ~93rd percentile child)! I said that was ridiculous that I couldn't return something if it didn't fit--it wasn't my problem that they weren't able to get it to work properly and that didn't correct it when more came off than should have. She continued to say nothing would be returnable. I don't know how they'd enforce that, honestly, but since I bought almost all of it a size larger than should be necessary it should fit (though of course I'd return it if it didn't; otherwise I'd be out the money with clothes that didn't fit). To add insult to injury, the cashier apologized repeatedly to the guy who was in line behind us. Yes, he'd been waiting, but there are other cashier stands in the store. And we'd also been waiting at least 10 minutes while they figured out the whole thing! But not a single apology for my mom (who had her own stuff to purchase) or me. Just all around a terrible experience, and luckily for me I don't shop at Fred Meyer.
