They are older, spent time in the hospital and are now here. They cannot get around themselves and we have tried to be there to help as much as possible, taking them into the general area for meals, getting them dressed. The rehab is going well but the other care has a lot to be desired. I've recently has surgery on my shoulder so I cannot help move or push a wheelchair. If I ask for help, no one has time. I stepped out for lunch hoping that that would prompt someone to take the opportunity to get them in a wheelchair and go into lunch. Nope- food tray to the room. This poor person will not be out of the bed today because no one has time and i physically can't do it. Do better... being under staffed is a country wide problem, but lack of care is not excusable. When you walk in the front door you enter a large lobby with a large grand and player piano in it. You are greeted by a full time staff person located at the front entrance. The staff is professional and very friendly. The restaurant is located at the rear of the lobby. It is very eloquent and serves up great looking meals. The residents always look happy and well cared for. The grounds and facility are well maintained and the interior is immaculate. Outside there are flower gardens, gazebo and a walking path. My mother was cared for in a facility like this for many years so I know what to compare to. This one is above the rest in my opinion. If the need every arose in the future for myself, I would be excited to live there as well.

She shouldn't have to wait if she has to go number 2 nor have to wait on the toilet for assistance at times over a half hour.

My mom has been at Arden Courts for many years. I honestly don't know what I would have done all…read morethis time without Arden and all the staff. An example is just a few days ago, my mom fell in her room and hit her head on something and was bleeding. The staff is very good about looking out for the residents and checking up on them and was immediately on it. The head nurse Cecelia arranged for my mom to be taken to the hospital and she also immediately called the family. After being treated at the hospital for several hours, the doctors at the hospital said it was safe for her to go back to Arden. The nurses that night at Arden, Sharina and Sandy, got her back to her room safely and let the family know. I am so grateful for the staff at Arden and could not imagine if my mom was not there. The next morning Lynn the director called for a meeting to discuss how to go forward. It was very comforting to know that I could count on Arden to continue to help my mom with this injury. This is just one of many stories. I'm also grateful for all the activities that my mom has access to as well as access to be outdoors and to have an area that she is safe to walk around. I would highly recommend Arden Courts.
