Do NOT go to this store unless you want to try on shoes and then buy them elsewhere. The people…read morethat work there were very RUDE, not helpful, and actually yelled at me after I tried on shoes with socks they specifically gave me and told me to try them on. They did not say I would then be required to buy the socks, nor was there any signs of any such store policy. They insisted I was required to buy the socks as per MA law (no such law), and the manager was so angry and was yelling at me I was afraid he might become violent. I ended up buying 2 pair of boots at Nordstroms where I was treated like a queen. Their return policy was much more liberal (no time limit as long as shoes are in new condition with sales slip). Why buy goods from a store where the workers/manager are rude and just plain unhelpful and nasty, when you can go to Nordstroms where you feel like you're treated with dignity and kindness?? BTW, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau but The Barn chose to ignore it. Had they made an effort to resolve this, I would not have written this review.

My condition has caused major changes in my gait, proprioception, and running mechanics, which have been causing me a lot of silly injuries. A close friend recommended Sneakerama, theorizing that maybe "the right" shoes could help. I was skeptical, but decided to pop in to see what all of the hype among my avid runner friends was all about! When I walked in, I was welcomed with a friendly greeting and immediately jumped into a conversation about what my goals were. When I explained my wild healthy history, Alex listened empathetically and almost immediately knew what I needed - a minimalist shoe with a wide toe box to help correct my over-pronation and balance issues. He came back with four different styles, each with unique features which he explained thoroughly and allowed me to take for a "test stroll"! I ended up choosing a very cool pair of Altras - a brand I had never even heard of before! The next morning, I tried out my new shoes at the gym and I was THRILLED! I felt much more stable and was able to better engage targeted muscles while lifting. These Altras are a GAME CHANGER! Not only do they have me feeling better supported, they've also given me my confidence back! :) Sneakerama is a hidden gem! I grew up in Worcester and had never. been inside...
