We sat down anyway and eventually was greeted by a woman with menus and she returned with waters. After that we were never attended to for approximately 22 minutes after that. We were looking for a nice place for dinner tonight and decided to try Sarah's kitchen at Heart of Traditions. Unfortunately, this ended up being a place I will not return to. We ordered chili, a Cuban sandwich, and chicken bites. The chili had large chunks of onions that didn't add much flavor. The Cuban sandwich had a strange taste, almost as if the grill hadn't been cleaned properly, and the chicken bites were not good at all. We asked for the chicken bites to come out first, followed by the chili and sandwiches, but everything arrived in a different order. The sandwich also came with potato salad that was soggy and lacked flavor. The waitress seemed very busy managing tables while also attending the bar. Overall, it was definitely not a great experience. I've honestly had better meals at simple bars than at a restaurant that is supposed to take more care with its service and food quality. My stomach didn't feel well afterward, and I couldn't even finish my dinner. They may want to improve their food and service if they hope to keep customers coming back--although perhaps they already have a clientele that enjoys it. read more

This skillet came out looking like the produce section exploded and I mean that as a compliment. The veggie load was impressive. My only gripe: some pieces were cut like toddler building blocks, so a few bites were cooked unevenly and totally raw broccoli didn't work for me in this dish. Still, for a veggie-forward family, this was a glorious mountain of veggies. BLT Supreme - $15.49 Whole wheat toast piled with lettuce, crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, avocado, tomato, and mayo. Finally a BLT that didn't skimp on the bacon. My faith in humanity restored! I took a closeup shot of the bacon for your viewing pleasure. Balanced, salty, creamy with the avocado, and stacked like the sandwich gods intended. Cobb Salad - $14.99 Romaine, roasted turkey, avocado, hard-boiled egg, cucumbers, green bell peppers(I'll skip them next time), tomatoes, bleu cheese crumbles, and crispy bacon. This Cobb was a power move. The romaine was crunchy (not the sad, wilted mess too many places pass off), the turkey and avocado made it hearty, and the raspberry vinaigrette worked great against the funk of the bleu cheese. Nope, not a limp "diet salad." Stuffed French Toast - $14.99 Lumberjack style thick bread stuffed with vanilla cream cheese and strawberries (you can swap in cinnamon apples). This was rich enough to make me question my choice after a few bites, but that's stuffed French toast for you. The bread was sturdy, the cream filling lush, and a few indulgent bites were all I needed before waving the white flag. Delicious, but not your daily driver unless you enjoy post-brunch food comas. The Vibe Parking = headache. Noise = relentless. Service = friendly but scattered (to be fair, the place was packed). Still, the kitchen cranks out food that's fresh, plentiful, and plated at the right temps, which forgives a lot. The leftovers made sure we also had dinner! Tradition in PSL continues to build up with great food and drink spots, and Sara's couldn't have came at a better time -- it is constantly packed out! There's an inside and outside area, as well as a little bar section -- but the key is that we officially have found a perfect brunch spot! If you're having yourself a day, the bottomless mimosas with all different juice flavors is the way to go. The menu is loaded with tons of great breakfast and lunch food options and I've been fortunate to try a bunch. Everything is good so you can't go wrong with it's the omelette or pancakes or sandwiches. My only personal draw back was the brunch BLT portion -- it's half of a sandwich (no I did not eat half in the picture). Someone else ordered a regular avocado BLT and it was full size. It ended up being alright because I nibbled on other people's leftovers and extras (there's always an extra pancake lying around because you have to try it but you don't want to only eat pancakes as a meal haha) I love that the Hollandaise sauce is part of a lot of the breakfast items and the omelettes; and as a sauce fanatic this made my day! This place is about 2 years old but looks like it's about 10. Again first impressions are everything and all I saw was filth as I approached. Outdoor area was littered in filth, pavers were dirty and stained, outside server station was collapsed and dirty, doors and walls were dirty, etc. Flies everywhere making it difficult to eat outside. I ordered an omelette which comes with hollandaise sauce, hash browns, and half French toast. Server had warned me that their omelette are finished in the oven like a frittata. Then label them frittatas or hire a cook who knows how to cook omelette. Eggs shouldn't be dry and grey looking and concealed with a large layer of melted cheese. Hollandaise sauce was chicken stock mixed with cornstarch. Hash browns had no seasoning unless you douse it in ketchup. French toast were a frozen item because they were not drenched in "delicious egg batter" as described. My daughter had the lox on a bagel with cream cheese and said it was just ok. Upside was that service was great. I don't see this place staying open very long. Suggestion is to take a good power wash to the facade, reduce your menu to 10-15 items to accommodate your 2x2 kitchen, focus on fresh farm items, and stop using the outside back door area as storage before the health department pays a visit. read more

I cannot resist writing a review for this breakfast stop since the Turkey club omelette was the best omelette I have ever had. It was served like a fluffy frittata and was filled with turkey, avocado and sun-dried tomatoes and topped with cheese. We showed up on a Sunday morning right after a party of 50 sat down (yes, 50!). Despite being told it was a 40 minute wait, we were seated in 10 minutes - always a nice surprise. Kudos to the kitchen for being able to accommodate us after being slammed all at once. Everyone in our party of five loved their meal (other selections included the Kitchen Sink Omelette, Sara's Healthy Omelette, Red White and Blue French Toast, Pancakes, Grits, Eggs and Turkey sausage). The restaurant is still fairly new so service is not up to speed yet. The first time we came, they were more organized in seating us than the second time. The second time, the hostess seemed very unsure of how to seat people even with a bunch of cleaned tables. Both times, it took a long time to be waited on once seated. Chalking this up to it being Brand new. The food has been great both times. We've tried both breakfast and lunch and haven't had any issues with our food. We went to Sara's Kitchen today and were very disappointed. We decided to check out this place while visiting Port St. Lucie because the pictures looked really good. We ordered the California omelette with pancakes and the breakfast burrito. The omelette was pretty bad, bland, and even after adding salt and pepper it still wasn't flavorful. The breakfast burrito was slightly better but still pretty mid. The pancakes were alright but nothing to write home about. The only good thing was the lattes; they were really good. Our server was very nice and attentive. We were a little grossed out when we noticed a food runner blowing his nose and then immediately handling food without washing his hands. The restaurant was crowded and there were families who were sitting at tables before we came in and still weren't served when we left it bothered me because they had well behaved children sitting there. The food was so bland no matter how much salt we put on the food didn't compensate for the lack of seasoning while it was being prepared. This restaurant happens to be in a picturesque neighborhood called the Heart of Tradition. The restaurant is spacious and has a bar and extensive menu for breakfast and lunch. Even though we have to wait for our table because our party is not complete, the service staff was gracious enough to give the few of us a table. We live at 3 minutes from the small shopping center where there are new restaurants already opened or just about to. We already tried Southpaw Brewing Company.and frankly we were extremely disappointed mainly with the food. This time we tried Sara's Kitchen and it was just okay! My wife ordered a nonalcoholic beverage to start, a mango refresher, and then the fruit French toast. I ordered the Italian omelet with hash brown and toasts. The presentation of my plate was a bit sloppy, while my wife's plate was very nice. My wife enjoyed her food, my omelet was overcooked and the marinara sauce was somewhat bitter, probably overcooked. Our server Valentina was friendly and efficient. Why three stars? It took us 25 minutes to get our food, I got mine first and my wife five minutes later. One thing I didn't understand is that two ladies sat ten minutes after we had arrived and got their food before ours. You can see them in the picture enjoying their food before us, frustrating! First visit to Sara's Kitchen. Some thoughts on a Sunday night dinner: About what I'd expect from a diner genre. The place filled up after 6pm but they were short staffed. Slow service. Even slower trying to cash out. Surprisingly it wasn't loud & thankfully the unnecessary TVs were muted. One of the first things you'll notice is that there is quite a bit of open storage. Tall metal racks at the front for table settings, Cheney Bros cardboard boxes and storage bins on countertops and on the floor. Back of the house stuff in the front of the house. I ordered the traditional thanksgiving supper ($17.99) and it was pretty good. Tender and moist white turkey meat with a substantial side of lumpy garlic mashed potatoes, gravy, fresh asparagus and a metal cup of canned cranberry sauce. My wife had a small cup of spicy chili ($4). Frankly they need to pull it off the menu until they master the basics. It was nothing special. Cheese and onions were extra. Cheese was a slice of American cheese wilted over the top. Not melted. Not cheddar. Not good. She peeled it off like half cooked skin on a chicken thigh. The raw onion was NOT diced, it was chunky. REALLY chunky. About a third of the cup. Sigh. Finally, I'm not a fan of TVs in dining areas except for sports bars. Sara's also has bright LED billboards flashing local ads. Too much. I'll go back to see if anything changes but this review could easily slip a star. read more

Really hungry, and on my way to grocery shop, thought I'd try Sara's Kitchen. The hostess immediately seated me. My waiter, Finn, introduced himself. He was personable and knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered an omelette with three meats (don't remember the name of it). It came with choices! I opted for hash browns (Finn described them as crunchy -- which I love) and pancakes. Too much food, indeed -- but that much food calms this savage beast! Lol. The food arrived and that's when the troubles started. The omelette was over cooked, dry -- not edible. Gosh, you could see the brown singing on it (picture attached). I didn't return the hash browns, but should have. They didn't look it, but definitely tasted absolutely burned. I left them on the plate. Finn, professional to a fault, replaced the omelette. Now here's why they got two rather than three stars -- the cook (chef?) balked and gave lip service to Finn re the overcooked omelette. He should know, with an open kitchen, to not bitch when customers can hear him. Just rude! So ... the new omelette comes. Not burnt! Yay! But still dry like the Sahara! The meats in the omelette were delicious -- especially the sausage! Absolutely full from eating the pancakes, I asked for a to-go box for the omelette, paid my bill, thanked Finn and left. Later that evening, for dinner, after adding butter and a bit of garlic, ate the omelette. Delicious! read more

We were seated quickly and Angel L took or drink orders and returned, new menu for us so it took a time to decide. The Cons, the seating was not too comfortable , and the ambiance was very average. The service was slow and under staffed due to the large crowd inside and outside. Being new and the job market it's to be expected. The manager said he expects to offer delivery next week and closing later in August. The lunch menu very good with plenty of options. There will be a dinner menu in the near future. My recommendation is Sarah's is a great addition to our area and I highly recommend Sarah's. read more

Went with some friends for lunch. Everything was wonderful. Sara's is cute and clean. There's indoor and outdoor seating. One person in the group was recovering from recent surgery and was obviously struggling. The hostess got us seated quickly with the least distance from the door. So nice of them to notice. Our lunches/breakfasts were all very good. Everything came to the table hot. Veggies were fresh. Terrific fries!! The portions here are generous. Our coffees and teas were never empty. I heard this place was great, my first st time there this afternoon. Not extremely busy, I order the New York Burger medium and Power Slaw! The food took a long time and once arrived it was so well done I might as well ordered a hockey puck! No taste and not hot. I did not complain because I was with a friend and did not want to have any issues since she suggested this place! The burger the worst I have ever in my life had and for sure would not recommend this place to my worst enemy! Maybe their breakfasts are good but not the basic burger! Last night was our third meal at Sara's Kitchen. Maybe our last! My Husband ordered a medium well hamburger it came back, medium rare. He sent it back and the next time they brought the hamburger back it was medium rare He ate it even though it was not cooked how he likes a hamburger. The roll was so unevenly cut that the bottom part of the hamburger roll was sopping wet. My granddaughter ordered pancakes and sausage. The pancakes came out, but there was no sausage. We asked for the sausage again, and still no sausage came to the table. Finally sausage was delivered to the table after 20 minutes. I had a grilled veggie pocket and it was just fine. It's a crazy place to watch everybody's running all over the place. They're trying their best I think but whoever is watching the plates that leave the kitchen is not doing a good job. The time before we went for dinner again, and my husband's clam cakes and fries were so well done, he had a hard time chewing them. We are not people that are fussy when served. If we send anything back, it's a rarity. If there was someone in the kitchen watching the plates go out with the right order or correctly made then that should've been stopped at the kitchen.
