Very impressed! Where do I begin…read more I thought about writing about my horrific experience with my previous dental office (Gentle Dental) that led me here, but this is where I want to Praise Dr. Elkhal and his amazing team. Long story short I was told that I needed a tooth extracted and that I needed to have implants in place at the cost of 4k. First they said they could retreat and then later decided it wasn't an option. I needed a second opinion and sought out another dental office. I ended up at Rose City dental. (Highly recommend Rose City as well) They referred me to Endodontics Limited. I had been in a lot of pain and was told that the only way out of my pain was extraction. Dr. Elkhal worked me in same day due to my special circumstances with pain. I noticed the difference immediately. The friendly receptionist who cared about my visit. Not just processing paperwork. The calming environment was a change from other offices I had been to. Dr. Elkhal brought me in and performed an evaluation and agreed that there was an infection but due to incredible swelling and current pain he would recommend to wait until the swelling went down. His evaluation led him to believe that the root canal could indeed be retreated and he wanted to save the tooth. I was prescribed antibiotics and we scheduled. The procedure went extremely well. I have had a few root canals and this one was by far the best. Dr. Elkhal is a true professional. It comes through in his explanation of the process. He explained step by step what we were doing to and why. I have never experienced this level of service from anyone in this industry. I am a Service Manager of an automotive service department and appreciate and recognize what Dr. Elkhal and his staff are providing. If you are in need of a root canal, I highly encourage you to seek out Dr. Elkhal! You will not be disappointed.

The staff at the front were just OKAY, but the Dental Assistant ANGELA was kind, compassionate, friendly, supportive she even listened to my concerns.. then Dr Michael Isaac came in, introduced himself and he spoke with a gentle voice, explained what he was going to do, looked over my medical history proceeded to examine my mouth, explained everything to me so that I understood. He has been the BEST Dr I've come across in my 54years. I know it's scary going to the dentist, but if any place and especially the Dental Assistant ANGELA and Dr MICHAEL ISAAC that I had my experience with I'd have to say this is the place to come to.

We were referred because my daughter has severe dental anxiety and her regular dentist felt she would have a better experience with a specialist. We made the appointment in advance and I clearly expressed her need for nitrous oxide and it was noted in her account. The day we showed up for the appointment they failed to tell us they were out of nitrous oxide, which was part of her treatment plan to help her be comfortable. They began her treatment took x-rays and then told us, they did not have any more nitrous oxide, putting her on the spot and trying to convince her she would be OK without what she needed to be comfortable. After a lot of uncomfortable conversation my daughter and I spoke up and decided to reschedule. They then insisted we pay right then and there for the portion of her treatment they claimed to have completed, but if we had been informed properly, we would not have had him begin treatment. We were never given the opportunity to make an informed choice before he began treatment. We have ultimately decided to go elsewhere for treatment and I feel very strongly they should not have charged us for anything since it was their error. I have asked them to please refund my payment. Needless to say they do not feel the same way.

So it was critical that the job was done right or it could break a very expensive bridge! Today is the morning after and my bridge is in fine shape, and no more throbbing pain! After hurting for a solid month, Dr. Baumgarth gave me an emergency appointment in just a couple days. They were all sweet and compassionate and let my boyfriend sit next to me the whole time. I took the sedative drugs for dental anxiety, and apparently asked the poor Dr the same question 15 times...but I don't remember! My boyfriend says he was so patient and answered me every time anyway. Thank you everyone at Mt Scott Endodontics for taking such good care of me and my bridge

TL;DR - Horrible experience and would give zero stars if I could…read more Full story - I waited a while to leave this review because I left the office feeling angry and deeply frustrated. I'd been dealing with excruciating tooth pain for months, taking way too much Advil to function. I didn't have dental insurance, and after two major family losses, getting the pain checked hadn't been a priority. Eventually, the pain and Advil-induced nausea became unbearable. I made an appointment here after another dentist suggested a root canal, but didn't offer sedation. At this office, the root canal was "confirmed," but I was told I'd have to pay the full 4K up front just to schedule it--and the earliest appointment was still a month away. I explained that I couldn't keep taking Advil and needed something else for pain relief. Instead, they prescribed even stronger ibuprofen and steroids. When I reiterated that I literally couldn't take any more ibuprofen--or any NSAID--because my stomach lining needed time to heal, the dentist became condescending and dismissive. He left me feeling so stupid that I genuinely started to believe I was just being dramatic, which he all but said outright. Still, I paid the 4K and booked the appointment because I felt trapped and desperate. But when I got home, I called my stepdad, who's a PharmD. He was stunned by what I described and assured me I wasn't crazy. He also explained that while steroids can be helpful alongside a proper pain reliever, they're essentially useless on their own. Steroids reduce inflammation that can contribute to pain, but if the pain itself isn't being treated--especially nerve pain--they won't do much of anything. That conversation snapped things into focus. I called the office, canceled the procedure, got my money back, and found a multidisciplinary practice that saw me the very next day. Turns out my tooth was cracked vertically, so severely that a root canal wouldn't have fixed the underlying issue. I had the tooth extracted and replaced with an implant at a different multi-disciplinary practice and paid not much more than what I was going to have to pay for just the root canal. Strongly do not recommend going here. Side note: For anyone needing dental work done, find a place you trust that offers all services, not just root canals. That way, the recommendation and procedure align with what you need, versus what they can offer.

She told me that I should've created my account before the appointment. I told her I was unaware, I was sorry and I really appreciate her doing this. She wouldn't even look at me. She told me I always mention that on the phone when you make your appointment you must've missed it. I work in HR. I am a very organized person. I made the appointment in my office and had a pen and paper in hand to record all details. Payment was not mentioned during that phone call. I am aware I should've asked when I booked my appointment but my previous office said everyone has care credit and I shouldn't have any problems. She said in a nasty tone that she would need more my ss#, I said no problem I'm ready when you are. She would wait to ask me questions when I was walking away to grab my ID or a tissue. I eventually asked her do you need more information from me or are we good, so that I can talk to her face to face. The whole energy in the office was so off. It felt like an angry older sister that was screwing with me. Saying very polite sentences in a passive aggressive tone. It's really all confusing and unprofessional. I am very scared of needles and was on the verge of tears the whole time I was in the office. I was polite. I don't understand why a person would treat someone so cruel. I will die of a tooth infection before I would ever go back. I can't trust the doctor if the receptionist is going to treat me so poorly. I'm reconsidering my main dentist office now because they referred me here. Such a horrible experience. My fiancé called the office afterwards to talk with the practice manager and it was the same receptionist who answered. She hung up on him twice just for asking that question. Now she won't answer the phone. My fiancé was not rude or hostile with her at all, but she continued to hang up on him. I have never had a medical office knowingly hang up on someone, multiple times, and then refuse to answer when they are just asking to speak with someone. This is the most unprofessional thing I have ever witnessed from a medical office! Truly an insane experience. There are plenty of endodontist's around. Look into other offices and don't blindly take a referral like I did.
