We originally contacted this company for landscaping our property. Their "landscape specialist" came out and we expressed that we wanted low maintenance plants and no clutter. He said that he was doing landscaping for 20 years and he would make the property look great. He suggested the names of quite a few plants and said he would have them arranged nicely. We asked for an exact diagram of how the yard would be laid out, but he said the software couldn't produce that but that it would look great. We take responsibility for allowing this to continue without at least a sketch. However, the first thing that needed to be done was to check out the sprinkler system, since their plants are guaranteed only if the sprinkler system is checked. They replaced several sprinklers and did install a rain gauge and a new pre-filter on the reclaimed water, but again the invoice was a bit sketchy. We agreed to proceed with their proposal (again our responsibility) only to take a deeper look later and realize that sprinkler heads that are $10 at Home Depot were costing us over $200! Once the sprinklers were done, plants were delivered and laid out. It looked like a lot of plants, but Nate, the "landscape specialist" assured us that some were small and the larger ones were layered behind them, making for a nice presentation. Once they started to grow, the taller ones were up front blocking the view of what was behind it. There were several variations of flowers that, observed as a whole, looked like the median on the interstate. He then came out and had an excuse that the variety of some of the plants were sent incorrectly, changed them out and moved some others. It looked a bit better but still very cluttered. To finish it off, he suggested crushed rock instead of the larger rocks we asked about saying that they are less expensive and would look good. They look like crushed shell and whenever it rains, they float out of the flower beds. Also, there are so many plants that weed control is almost impossible except for hand pulling as the weeds grow amidst the plants. Several calls were made to make this right, and eventually we were told that they supply the plants, we need to take care of the weeds, and we saved money on the smaller rocks. Quite a few Plants died but they were outside the guarantee period. They were not willing to do anything more. We are in the process now of removing many of the plants, raking back the rocks and putting larger ones on top of them. We are not young people and will have to hire someone else to fix mess. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR LANDSCAPING. THE SPRINKLERS WERE OVERPRICED BUT THEY DID GOOD WORK. CUSTOMER SERVICE POOR. read more

The appointment process was good and James the technician arrived on time and was very professional. James explained the system in detail and tested all of the heads and zones. Called Sunrise for lawn irrigation repair. Had 1 zone that had low pressure . Service guy came on time. Showed him the zone that had low pressure. the other 5 zones worked well. After viewing the zone, he said he would have to perform a diagnostic test. Thought maybe diaphragm on the valve was faulty. This test would cost $600. Parts and labor would be more. Asked what if the dianstic test showed no problem. And the sprinkler heads were the problem, which I thought he should check 1st. Still cost $600. Felt very uncomfortable with that answer, and was not willing to spent $600 for a maybe solution. will get a 2nd opinion. paid $79 for him to leave. I feel him jumped to the $600 option without considering options that would be cheaper. When I get the 2nd opinion, I will do a followup of this review. read more

Update 5/28 After being rescheduled technician arrived and performed a thorough evaluation of the system. He asked me what was wrong and presented me with 3 different options. He was courteous and addressed all my concerns. Original review: After waiting 3 weeks for the scheduled appointment the tech was running late at a previous job and I had to have the job rescheduled ( understandable). It is at this time that I was informed about a water tank fee needed before I could reschedule the job because I'm on reclaimed water. I declined the rescheduled. I originally contacted sunrise because two years ago they did a nice job fixing the sprinklers, seems like things have changed. Update 5/21. Got rescheduled for a morning appointment. This is not the business to rely on for an efficient, economical repair of your sprinklers. They come out for a $79 service fee to provide costly system renovations. They couldn't even repair our broken sprinkler on the initial visit. We essentially paid them to provide an expensive sales pitch. read more

Sunrise came out to install a new sprinkler controller for me (I provided the new controller)... and did a good job. They also replaced two sprinkler heads for me. Cost was $300 plus... so not cheap. Very expensive in my opinion... but they did good work, and did what they said they would do. read more

They hit my sewer line and it cost me an additional 5k to fix that issue. Then the plumber basically came in and destroyed the rest of my fresh new sod. I have no lawn now. So essentially I paid 10k to have no grass. read more

Wasn't able to get service from Sunrise. Confusion regarding service and arrival time. I waited for 4 hours on my scheduled day and never had a technician arrive, nor did I receive an apology. Loosing a half day for no results is difficult for a small business person. I really can't speak to the quality of their technician work. However, their scheduling left a lot to be desired for me. She gives me a date and time they can come out then saids she needs my credit card information!!!!! like what the heck! no you can't have that information, the whole reason for me asking do you give free estimates. Early May 2024 we had scheduled an appointment for them to come to our new house to adjust our sprinklers since not all the lawn was getting hit properly with water. They did not install the original sprinklers. The woman over the phone was very short tempered and rude while making the appointment for June 4th. We waited a month for the appointment and they gave us a window of 8-noon to show up. I stayed home all day for their arrival. They never showed up and never called to say they had to cancel or reschedule. Now I need to proceed to hand water where the sprinklers don't hit and find another company. I absolutely did understood what the technician told me about the work I paid for. It was a simple job, I asked your company to inspect my system, adjust all sprinkler heads that needed adjustment and replace those heads that did not work. After the job was completed and and I after I paid the worker I inspected the work and found that no sprinkler heads were adjusted. The technician told me that your company did not adjust sprinkler heads they did not install. When I talked to you on the phone you told me that was not your policy, the the technician was mistaken. However he did not even adjust the sprinklers he did install. What he did do was cut my cable internet line, and cut through two water lines. You also asked me on the phone why I signed the paperwork saying thew work was properly completed. That was another lie. I told you I never signed that form and for you to produce it to me, which you never did. Finally, you also lied in your comment that my other sprinkler heads were old and needed replacement and I refused. I have the written proposal your technician gave me that detailed every rotor that needed replacement and I approved that work done and paid for it. In summary, your company did a poor job, caused damage to my property, charged over $800 for work that was never completed and then you come online and lie about it. Also charge $59(which is only waived if you go with this company) and an additional $129 for a "tank fee" to bring water to your home in case the reclaimed water is shut off. 10/10 do not recommend from my short interaction. read more

I scheduled my appointment for Sunrise to come to my house 12 days in advance. I took off work to be home during the 3 hour afternoon window. They have an automated text system that texted me the day before and then again the day off. It felt official. My window was 2-5pm and at 4:30 I called them because no one had been by and there was no communication otherwise. The lady said, "No one is coming to your house today. I am not sure why they scheduled you. We do not have any techs.". I guess my point is they have an automated system that will text you but, there is no follow through or any substance behind it. hate to write bad reviews. I installed a brand new system of 3 separate zones with their company. Thousands of dollars. Was told upon ordering by the sales guy that I would always get help. Sure... One of the zone consists of raised beds of veggies for which I asked to have them surrounded by watering heads. They installed more on the left side, fewer on the right side, resulting in my plants dying on the right side. I called after install noticing the issue and was told, we are busy we will schedule you in 3 weeks. ok. They also linked the other zones incorrectly to the automation system, which resulted in more plats dying. they came back and it was also the county inspection the same day. I explained my concern, which they "fixed" after the inspection. I asked them to add one or two watering heads on the right side so my plants wouldnt continue to die. They said no we can change the existing head and spray further away, no problem. As soon as they left, I noticed it wasnt doing the job properly and an entire zone still did not have water. I called back and got another appt for today. When the tech came today, he said oh you have to pay since we are after the inspection... oh really, for a job they did wrong in the first place , were notified before the inspection, failed to fix. I escalated and called the office, was told a manager would call, they never did. I paid the technician who tried to sell me a yearly membership on top of it. We were puzzled, we were not treated in a honest way. This company was not honest with us and we did a big job with them. I will stay away at all costs, what a shame. read more

We had Sunrise replace our irrigation system completely with a new one. We read great reviews, had a professional, courteous sales person give us an estimate, which by no means was the cheapest. The process was a disaster. They did not follow the existing pipes or flow patterns, which is what we requested since the foliage remained unchanged. They did nor dig deep enough, keeping pipes and wiring exposed. A lead installer was extremely rude. As a result they never installed two heads. We called them back three times to address the wires and exposed pipes. The office called my husband pleading to ammendment his previous poor review. The quality is exceedingly poor. If you attempt to have them correct a flaw during installation, their staff will intimidate you. Stay away from this company! read more

We needed our sprinklers rerouted and a few fixed in the front, I called on Monday and they were out the next day to get it all taken care of. I was given options to help with what suited our family as we're getting a pool. Jose was absolutely wonderful to work with. I have to say I was skeptical and scared (about any company not just them) - 6 months ago someone definitely took advantage of me and my new home purchase (and did a terrible job installing sprinklers). But today I was wonderfully surprised by the services of Sunrise Irrigation. I not only recommend them but will use only them for my sprinkler systems going forward. A great big shout out to my service guy Nick was awesome to work with, he constantly communicated what they were finding (or not) and repaired my sprinkler lines (as needed) and installed a new command center (since the last yahoo's didn't). If you want to replace unnecessary material and get upsold by a salesman disguised as irrigation technicians, look no further than Sunrise. Nick the service tech came out and found and fixed stuck open valves quickly and professionally at a resonable cost. They are five star and know what their doing. Since my earlier review, I was contacted and a service tech, Christian, came out the very next day. He checked every sprinkler head, adjusted what was needed, changed out a defective head under warranty, and assured me that the yard was now well covered and I was all set. I will give Sunrise the benefit of the doubt in these trying times, as Christian informed me how slammed they are, and they cannot hire additional people because they cannot find anyone to work. I have heard that from many other businesses. I am hoping that I am indeed all set now, my yard will not continue to decay, and future calls will be met on a more timely manner. read more

Needed some sprinkler heads replaced on several occasions and had some added to the backyard. They always jump right in and get'er done.

Be careful if you choose to use this company! Get a second and third price quote, I got hugely overcharged for the work they did on my system. Make sure they have the proper licenses and pull the permits (if needed) for the job. They didn't on my job and I ended up with the county knocking on my door. Over the last year I've spend over $10,000 with Sunrise Irrigation for major work and I would give the work and people a 5. However it appears they don't want to service any small repairs. Not sure if was a problem with their work or routine maintenance but can't get anyone to look at the sprinkler head for a month. Looks like a love'um and leave'um relationship. read more

They installed a sprinkler system in my backyard. Initial person who came to quote it was extremely professional. The same can't be said about the installation team. They arrived many hours later than anticipated and worked in the dark which I wanted to avoid to start with. One of the workers said sprinkler heads have to be 12 inches away from the exterior of the house to pass code, on the other side the other worker put them 6 inches away. No big deal, but consistency and knowledge are important. Here is the dealbreaker: the guy who came in later and installed the sprinkler controller drilled into the concrete into my brand new house without a leveler. I currently have a sprinkler controller sitting at - 20 degree angle on my garage wall. Who drills into concrete wall without using a leveler?? Basic skills! read more
