Massage in Honolulu, Hawaii…read more.. The name of the place is a bit misleading. Zudao Foot Massage Center also provides body massages! My friend, Irene, gave me a gift card for my birthday a few months ago. I decided to get one for her, too... so that we could go together! I paid cash to avoid credit card fees. When we redeemed our gift cards, tax was included! We tipped with cash after we were done. We both walked in, after parking in the front. There's a small, free parking lot. It's located across from the Convention Center. The same woman at the front desk was polite, efficient, and friendly! We used the restroom first, and got seated next to each other in the dimly lit communal room. The combo deal (body and foot massage) started with a warm water foot soak while our upper bodies were massaged. Later, we laid face down on the padded table, then turned over and got a scalp massage. My therapist was very strong. I felt like my back was bruised... haha! When my legs were hurting, I was able to move my leg away from the pressure. It wasn't easy to move away from the back massage. I guess I could have yelled out, but I thought that my back was probably tight and needed loosening up? Well... it was an educational experience. It's not really a relaxing type of massage, but I think I did nod off a little... here and there...

However, on my recent visit I had to change the masseuse 3 times due to poor skill level and finally gave up after the 3rd person was terrible as well. The owner didn't seem to care that the staff including the primary instructor turnover was so high, and as a result no remaining employees were sufficiently skilled. When asking the owner for good masseuse recommendations over the years, her answer is always "everyone here is good". The truth is only 1 or 2 workers are worth visiting at any given time Additionally, the owner's husband is usually grumpy and rude, so there was little reason to continue giving this place more chances. He often points at customers when checking out and says "hey you need to add tip!" despite customers not even having completed checkout. Yes, he even says it to me after 10 years, knowing I typically tip 35% or more.

I don't know why I relax and even drift off to sleep with this type of power point massage, but I do. They also offer massages for other areas of your body, like the head and shoulders, mostly as add-on service. Clothes are kept on. They speak English here but I also hear a lot of soft spoken Japanese here. Pleasant music playing overhead even though it might be on a loop. Don't be afraid to say if it's too firm, but if you can tolerate it, this therapy can work better. Best parking is at Ala Moana Shopping Center, Mauka Ewa, 3rd floor at the end. Pink bird/tern level. There is a walking connector to their building and it's also their floor level. Quick.

The therapists obviously know what they're doing and have training. Pricier than other foot massage locations, but the extra expense is definitely worth it! The one downside, is they are generally booked up, so getting in at the last minute hasn't been an option for the half-dozen times I've tried to get in on the same day. You really need to set something up a few days in advance. Finding Oasis Spa is a little difficult but what you been here it's easy. Basically go to Ala Moana mall, and park outside of where Chanel is. There's an office building mauka of the mall and that's where you go up to their location. I'm a huge fan of foot massage, and this is as close to the reflexology I experienced in China, as anywhere that I've tried here in Hawaii, and it is definitely worth the expense!

I usually go for the 60 min body massage if I'm just trying to run in/run out, sometimes add 45 min foot massage in with one of the combos. The pricing is extremely reasonable and is definitely what's kept me loyal to them (and the stamp card lol). If you're looking for a spa experience, maybe look elsewhere. This is a very bare-bones operation. You are separated from others with a curtain and may not be spared of snoring and weird noises. As for the masseuses, they follow a similar massage routine with greatly varied techniques. I don't think I've ever had a bad massage there, but I'd learned to avoid some therapists. I recommend finding one you like, and requesting them while booking the appointment. May have less flexible bookings, but worth the specification. I like Mike, Lily, and Mei. I just park in the structure below, free before 4 I think? And $4 after but I'm usually pinched on time so I'll pay. I've gotten a massage from pretty sniffly/congested therapists on two occasions but I figured if I were to sick from that then my immune system probably deserved it. Gimme ten

We were looking for a good, clean massage place with a nice ambiance and found this spa on Yelp…read more It's a little farther from the main Waikiki strip, but the rooms are beautiful and spotless, with amazing views. From our hotel, a Lyft was only about $6, so it was well worth the short ride, especially since the pricing was much better than the spas near us. After we called to make our reservations, the receptionist texted us detailed arrival instructions. You enter through the main tower entrance and take the elevator to the 26th floor. We were immediately greeted upon arrival, and they let my daughter relax in the spacious waiting area overlooking a beautiful view. They then escorted us to another area across from the elevators, which was even more impressive, featuring gorgeous Thai-inspired decor. My treatment room was beautifully decorated and also had stunning views. Before the massage began, my therapist asked which areas I wanted her to focus on, and she really paid attention to those concerns. She started by wiping me down with a warm towel while incorporating massage techniques at the same time. The massage felt like a wonderful combination of Thai massage and Lomi Lomi. By the end, my body felt noticeably looser, and she did an excellent job relieving the tension in my neck and shoulders. After the massage, they offered water, matcha tea, or ginger tea. I chose the matcha, which was surprisingly good. We were able to use the discount offered on their website, which brought the total down to $135 for two people--but that's the cash price. I do wish they had mentioned that over the phone. The credit card price was $145. Even so, that's still a great value for two people. Next time, I'll remember to bring cash. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Hawaii!
