But the ladys at sunrise are the TRIFECTA!! magnificent at it all!!! Not to mention magnificent for my wallet as well. I hope Sunrise reads their reviews! Service and quality is hit-or-miss as with many nail salons. What I find about half the time is that the workers are not very friendly. It would be nice to be greeted when you walk in the door, especially when you have an appointment. Wait time is rarely less than 10 to 15 minutes. They only accept tips in cash. But my biggest gripe, is that there is loud conversation in THEIR language going on the entire time. We all suspect you are talking about us! Let me be clear, it is RUDE! Stop it!!!! read more

My appointment was for 5:15, I didn't get out of there until 8:00, when they close. I went for a fill and a pedicure. I wasn't asking for a special design or anything new on my nails. I'm not going to lie, I felt a little discriminated. There was a walk-in customer with no appointment and another customer who's appointment was at 6:00. I was the very last customer in there. I've been coming to this nail salon for over 10 years. The Quality of their job has always been good in my experience. I have been to several other nail salons in SCV and I still end up coming back here. When I used to get pink and white acrylics this was my favorite place and now I get the gel manicure. In my opinion they do the best job!!! The gel stays on for at least 3 weeks until I go back only because my nails are growing out, and they don't peel off either! I made an apt the day before with Henry for a full set with gels, due to a recommendation from my friend. I read a lot of yelp reviews and the main complaints are not being accommodated as a walk-in/appointment and lack of communication. First, Henry was waiting for me even though I was a few minutes early so I had no problem with that. And second, no he didn't chat with me and did chat a little with his coworkers in Vietnamese. I don't come to a nail salon to chat with my technician though, I come for great nails. And that's what I got. He made sure I was happy with the cut, length, shape, everything. I'm the kind of person who gives a benefit of doubt. I decided to try out this salon; needless to say I'm very disappointed. I made an appointment for a reason. I came in, one person said hello. I told her I have an appointment at 5:30. She replied "okay." I sat down. An elderly lady came in with her grandson, and they sat her on a manicure table. So, I waited...30 mins...40 mins...50 mins, with not one person checking in on me. Then, the grandson asked if he can get a pedicure, too. The elderly lady told him no because they are walk-in today and she'll make him an appointment later. Wait! What?! The lady came in behind me; I had an appointment; she gets a chair and she doesn't have an appointment?! I left when the grandson was placed in a chair before me. Pretty happy with my first experience. I called for an appointment because last weekend when I tried to do walk in they were too busy. I only waited a few minutes. The young woman that did my nails was quiet but efficient. She did a nice job. I have short nails for work and I do not like them thick. She did 4 coats and still kept them nice and not chunky. I've been here twice. Unsure if I'll come back. My gels came out just lovely. I like the quality. BUT they are extremely disorganized. I set an appointment - so I wouldn't have to wait - and when I came in, nobody greeted me and it looked like everybody had somebody. I asked a lady closest to me how long and she said "Just wait a few minutes". So I did. It tuned into almost 10-15 minutes and it didn't look like any spaces were opening up. I was in a hurry so this was super aggravating. when I tried to make eye contact to ask again, nobody would look at me. I finally had to be rude and interrupt somebody when they went to run a credit card. The lady was like "I don't know..." and so I started storming out - I had 3 other appointments to places and was now running late. As I was walking out, some woman stopped me and said I could make another appointment so I did. I came back and STILL waited 20 minutes! They need to have somebody at the front ALL the time and need to keep their appointments as close to the time agreed as possible. I might give them one more try but if it's as discombobulated as it was this last time, I will find some place else that is organized. Getting your nails done should be relaxing, not aggravating. read more

I've come to this place twice now. The first time I came I got white french tip acrylics. They had quite a few bubbles but for 32 dollars I didn't complain and it was fine. I decided to come back to get them filled and got black tip instead of white. They charged me for a full set with color instead of a fill, and unfortunate none of them speak english well enough to understand what I was saying.
