My friend told me about Sunrise Nails and highly recommended them as this is her go to for her nail needs. I needed a pedicure and they were able to accommodate me last minute. You normally need to make an appointment as they do get extremely booked and busy. I always go with gel polish when I get my pedicure and they have different selections of pedicures. The staff is always friendly and punctual which I love. It is a little out of the way for me, but it's well with it for quality service. Do not let the look of this place deceive you. I get, by far, the best pedicure here for only $45 for gel too! The pedicure I usually get is the essentials kit which includes a leg scrub, masque, and hot stone massage. Julie always does an amazing job every time and is so sweet and gentle as I'm very ticklish. I've been going here for years and they have the best price for the best services. read more

My first time visit here was great! Lee was my manicurist and she was personable, fast, and good! I got a gel manicure with a design and she didn't miss a beat - did my design wishes perfectly. Cost is $35 for a gel manicure which is reasonable and worth the value. They open at 9am which is great. Private parking lot with lots of spaces. First time ever pedicure, I came here for my birthday. I was a bit nervous because I am a guy and my wife wasn't with me, but was curious. I'll admit, my feet never smelled do good in my life lol, but probably not for me. Still, the staff was super nice, though i did have trouble communicating with the person help me, so couldn't advise on "too hot" or "what is this?" So have no idea what I ordered exactly. They fit me in for a walk-in which I appreciated. However, the salon feels old and a bit run down and it doesn't look like they have professional cleaners through there regularly. Many of the nail polishes had Marshall's price stickers on which tells me the stock is not fresh or professional grade. Just overall gave off a budget vibe. I do like that they didn't try to give me a manicure while sitting in the pedicure chair..I got the manicure first at the table then moved to the spa chairs for the pedicure. My manicure started chipping after just 3 days and she painted right to my cuticles so it'll chip more quickly. She also caused some bleeding while trimming my cuticles and then put alcohol right on it which stung badly. My pedicure was great. The trchnician took her time, trimmed my nails carefully, and did a great job painting my nails. I'd go back for pedicure but I'd skip the manicure. read more

I called to ask if they had an opening for pedicure and they did they said come on by. Basic pedicure starts at $30. $5 callus remover $15 additional on top of pedicure if you want get. Tech did a good job but I felt she could have spent more time on cleaning up my nails. I guess it's cool if you need service STAT but not for my usual nail visits. It was hard to communicate with my nail tech due to language. read more

Tell me you have no room for walk ins, say that you are full, but don't stand there & loudly ask to see my nails & say "uhhh yeaaa nooo, we don't have that color here" I replied that I wasn't there to get the same color, I wanted a new full set & different nail shape. He repeated loudly, everyone was starring "noo we don't have that color" no eye contact. I understand when you come to this country you feel you have the right to treat people like shit, god forbid you have respect right? I understand Citrus Heights is predominately Caucasian, & you probably only like serving to them (I literally was the only person of color there) but the rude loud ignorant reply is unnecessary. Of course, the inside isn't the fanciest you've seen, however, it's the quality of their work, friendly attitude and nice smiles that keep me returning. There's only been one time EVER they weren't able to squeeze me in. They are so kind, have GREAT prices and do amazing work! I have been coming here for a long time. I started going to David since he was at Magic Nails. He is really good. Two star review. The last time I was there, I waited 15 minutes when I was early. I usually wait so this is not why. David rushed through my manicure, I asked if he had someone after me, he said yes. so he keeps rushing. files my nail hard and hurts my hand. This old woman comes in (his next appointment) and says I've been waiting 5 minutes. I'm thinking keep waiting, he's not done with me. He says my wife can do your nails. He was speaking to me, I thought he was speaking to the old woman. So he lets his wife do my nails. I didn't make an appointment with his wife. I always give a really good tip. Sunrise nails doesn't value their customers. I have been a customer for a long time, I will never go back. Hey old woman good luck with your services there, she knew I wasn't done and couldn't wait. So sad that other people are valued more than others. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Synopsis: The grass isn't always greener Dets.: I went to Sunrise after a disappointing experience at another salon. I made an appointment over the phone a few days prior to showing up, so when I arrived, I expected to be seen right away. Unfortunately, my manicurist wasn't available, so I was asked to wait up front after picking a color. Not a huge deal. After a few minutes (5, maybe?), a man wearing a mask told me to "Go sit in the chair." I asked him what chair and he just said "That one over there". Ok... The first thing I noticed when ambling to my seat was the lack of "protection" in the pedicure tubs; that is, there was no plastic cover between the tub's water and its porous (and undoubtedly germ-ridden) surface. After that, I realized the tools my manicurist would be using were NOT autoclaved. Sure, she wore gloves, but if the tools aren't sterilized, what good are they? Side note: She apologized and went to work on someone else after removing my toenail polish. Not a big deal, but I would've expected her to focus 100% on me after having me wait (WITH an appointment). I opted for the Exclusive/Executive (I think - it's the $25 one) pedicure: Hot Stone massage, a scrub, and seaweed mask. It was all lackluster. Oh, the internet/cell service is terrible here, too, so I couldn't even check in on my phone. I won't go into much more detail as you can probably figure out how this story ends: I won't be back and recommend you visit a different salon, too. read more

I love this place! David and Lee, husband and wife owners, are wonderful. I've been going to Lee for about 7 years before they had Sunrise Nails. They are both very personable along with the other ladies. Lee does awesome pedicures and beautiful dip powder nails. I have her add tips. Everything is always sanitized. I watch them remove the jet covers, bleach and scrub down everything before the next costumer. All tools are rinsed and put into the UV sterilizer. I'm a cosmetologist and cleanliness is important to me. I enjoy coming here! read more

So happy with my pedicure! I called same day looking for two pedicures for me and my daughter. The gentleman who answered the phone was polite and was able to get us in. When we got there we were greeted fairly quickly. They were busy, but knew my name as soon as I said I had an appointment which was nice. We waited while the ladies finished the customers ahead of us. Once it was our turn, the ladies were efficient and paid attention to detail. They checked in with us through out the service. Since I've never had fake nails it was a weird adjustment and they explained it all to me and while she was trimming she made sure I was comfortable with the length before painting. They did an okay job. I just don't like how they cost almost $100, and they are already almost falling off. I haven't bang these nails on anything, so they shouldn't already be falling off after not even a week of having them on. $100 just a matte color and 4 stickers. 1 sticker on both middle fingers and then 1 sticker on the ring finger on both hands. I've paid $60-80 on nails, same stuff, and they stayed on for 2 weeks, and I've banged them on counters, steering wheel.and etc. Other than that, they came out cute. read more

Went there last minute on a Saturday morning before work. Just went in for a fill and was greeted by an older woman. She told me that there were 3 different prices for fills which were $25, $27, $30... She told me that I should get the $30 fill because it would be gel I said ok. But when I looked at the prices on their pamphlets the fills started at $15. Weird... anyways she did the fill and asked me what gel color I wanted, I showed her the color and she immediately told me no... The color was too light.. Um excuse me since when is my choice of nail color unacceptable??? Anyways she chose my nail color which i agreed to because I just needed to get to work. The wife i believe i named "amy" is very kind hearted she knew exactly what shape i liked ! most times i have to file and i didn't have to at all. The husband is very observant, i'm really particular about my cuticle and he noticed and asked if i needed something. My pedicure was well done the lady who size my massage was wonderful ! she even picked a color for me. Usually shops are not this accommodating! i gave both ladies who serviced me a 5 Dollar tip.
