First and last time coming here. I came in for a full set and was charged $70 for a very sloppy job. The girl who did my nails was sweet, but unfortunately, the quality of the work just wasn't there. I mentioned during the appointment that I wasn't happy with how things were looking, but she told me not to worry because she wasn't finished yet. I had no choice but to leave with them looking like this because I had a flight to catch that evening. This is what I get for cheating on my regular nail tech. Lesson learned. I've been going here for a while, and it's really hit or miss based on who you get. Some people are really good, and others are sloppy and rush through. The main thing that bothers me is that each time I go there, the nail techs speak negatively about me and the people I do with. They obviously don't think I can understand them (which is astounding to me), but they've complained about my feet and my nails right in front of me to each other. Very unprofessional. read more

Just got a pedicure and then women was done within 20 minutes. She rushed me out of there just to go and sit on her phone. Absolutely ridiculous behavior she should be fired. I wish i knew her name. All the ladies who got there before me getting a pedicure were still enjoying their time and i was done before them. She ran with her tip she didn't deserve and didnt even say thank you. What I wanted vs what I got. I specifically asked for matte finish and was told it was the second I left it was still shiny, obviously looks like a half ass job of the picture, the color isn't the same. And now the night of not even 10hrs later the colors are peeling off. I don't have pics of the other attempt at a different style (5 different colors dark to light) and the women was so mad at my request told me to pick the colors myself and kept asking me to get glitter when I didn't want it. I wanted solid colors and it looked nothing like the picture. FYI the original picture below was shown SPECIFICALLY on their website. UPDATE: next day it was all chipping off, I called and they very nicely told me they would fix them and the design. I refused the design but asked to fix the color and nails. I had one of the worst experiences I had ever had at a nail salon here today. my nail tech had given me the wrong color I asked for, and even after mentioning that something seemed off with the color she continued and basically implied to trust the process. After leaving very upset, considering i needed these done for an event, I called and asked for a refund in which the manager said she only agreed to give a partial one even after explaining the situation, how I cannot come back in to have them redo them because I was not expecting to have to spend 2 and a half hours out of my day to replace these nails with my event being two days away, which I would have compromised on otherwise. I am very very unhappy with this salon, the nail tech, and the management. There are plenty of amazing nail salons in this area and I highly do NOT reccomend this one. I've been going here for a few years now. Unfortunately, the quality and service have taken a nose dive recently. It's sad because I really did enjoy this nail salon and recommended it to everyone. The experience and the end result is vastly different based on which technician works with you, which I get. I've had both wonderful and so-so experiences and until recently the good far outweighed the bad. My most recent manicure may very well be my last at this salon. Positively, the color selection is amazing. I typically get dip manicures and have never had a problem finding the color I want. I've had a handful of pedicures which have been mostly great. The last one the technician shut the massage chair off in the middle and told me, "All done. Too much." It was weird, but my pedicure still looked good and it gave me a good laugh on the ride home. My most recent visit was quite frankly awful and embarrassing. The technician was rude and condescending. She kept repositioning my fingers and loudly telling me to "relax!" Yelling relax at me, drawing the attention of at least 2 other customers is not a great way to get me to "relax!" I have nerve damage in the hand she was working on. Not wanting to discuss my medical history in the middle of the nail salon, I explained that I wasn't consciously tensing. I said something along the lines of "Sorry, I'm trying. This is just how this hand is." A few minutes later she laughed snidely and made another rude comment about my inability to "relax!" Again, this drew stares from multiple customers. I was so uncomfortable, holding back tears, and couldn't wait to leave. To add to the experience, my nails are filed unevenly and are all different shapes (most square but a few completely rounded). My last visit I made note that the staff was not cleaning/sanitizing their after finishing up with a client. During my last visit, I was with my boyfriend we both received pedicures - he usually goes w me once a month to this place - that afternoon he began complaining about how his foot was sore, figuring they had just dug out an ingrown nail I assured him he'd be fine. 3 days later we were in the hospital - come to find it he had a flesh eating bacterial cut on his food, steming from the removal spot of an ingrown toe nail. I usually do my own nails but decided to pamper myself today. Below are the pros and cons of my experience: Pros: - Their salon is absolutely gorgeous. - They include a back massage in the Dip powder set service (not sure about other services). - They are fairly priced ($37). - They had a good selection of dip powders. Cons: - The woman who did my work (I believe her name was Thui), messed up a few of my nails prior to the hand washing step. I asked her if she was done with the buffing and she said, no! Just wash your hands! With what I felt was an attitude. I replied "ok" and did as she asked. I came back and she buffed two of my nails and then started to apply the top coat. I stopped her and pointed out that one of my nails was very crookedly shaped and one side of the same nail was much thicker on one side. Also, a couple other nails were bumpy; including one of my thumb nails that I noticed she had an accident with the electric nail drill earlier on and had tried to fix but did not do a good job. When I pointed these out to her she claimed it was because we left my previous tips on and didn't soak them off. Little did she know that I've been doing my own dip nails for years, and doing all other types since I was a teen. I told her that was not the case and to please fix them or at least let me use the instruments to fix it myself. She then fixed them for me and finished the remainder of the service. Once I left I had a better look at them and they were still quite messy with much residue under and around my nails as well as a lot of cured (hardened) dip powder attached to my cuticles (which, for anyone who doesn't know about proper application of dip powder, can cause premature lifting). read more

I used to really like this place but I went here twice in the last week for my nails and then my toes. The girl who did my nails did an amazing job on them but she was rude. She basically didn't acknowledge me the entire time doing my nails. Anything I would say or ask she just didn't respond or acknowledge. It was honestly uncomfortable. Thankfully I was happy with the actual outcome of my nails. I decided to try again and went back again a week later for my toes. It was what I would consider a "lazy" pedicure. It felt like it was pretty quick and the massage part was so lacking she should have just stopped bc she wasn't applying any pressure or anything. The girl next to me looked as though she was getting an amazing massage on her legs and feet. I hate nothing more than inconsistencies in businesses. Each client should get great service, it shouldn't vary depending on who does your nails. read more

Like a shiny penny. It's shiny, but at the end of the day it's still just a penny. This has to be one of the sleekest and cleanest nail salons I've ever seen. The design layout of the place is fantastic, and they could probably do 40 pedicures at the same time with all the pedicure stations they have. Also, the people there are very nice. When I have to dig down and say that the people are nice and the place is clean, and then I can't thing of anything else positive to say, then you know that some bad mojo is hovering nearby. And well, you'd be right because everything else was just awful. This review is just about the pedicure. A lot of other reviewers talk about how great this place is for gel, acrylic, titanium, kryptonite, or whatever other types of nail coverings a person can ask for. But my friend and I just went in for a simple pedicure. It seems pretty simple. They bring you to your pedicure station, let you sit down on the massage chair as you they put your feet in the foot tub with a whirlpool jet, let you soak your feet for a while in warm water with some sort of mystery blue water which you hope isn't toxic, they then cut your toenails, buff any calluses, deeply massage your feet and calves, use the hot stones (because they're included in the description of what you get) as a topical heat source, and then call it a day. Well, both of the people taking care of my friend and me called it a day a whole lot earlier than that. First, there are no massage chairs in the place. Instead, they have these weird chairs that look great and snazzy with their little throw pillows, until you actually sit down on one. And then you realize that it's kind of awkward because the front-to-back seat length is too long, so, you then realize that the little pillow is so there isn't a large gap between your lower back and the back of the chair while you're sitting in it. You also realize how much you miss the massage chair going up and down your back while your feet get tended to. Next, they filled up the little whirlpool tub with nice and warm water but they didn't turn on the whirlpool jet until they started cutting our toenails, which was about 3 minutes later. Seriously, usually they let you soak your peds for a while before they start trimming the nails. But these ladies were all about efficiency and getting started and done as quickly as possible. The pedicure itself was the worst I've ever had. So, I'm looking down at my toes now and thinking how the heck do my toenails look longer now than they were before I went into this place???? I do have to give her credit for picking out some toecheese that was deeply embedded in a corner of one of my toes, but that's one of the understood hazards of the job. So, I shouldn't give her too much credit. And the massage? The best part about it was when she put that exfoliating cream on my leg and lightly spread it around. You know how you're too lazy to really put the effort into cleaning a countertop, so you just kind of spread dirt from one area of the countertop to another without actually picking up any dirt? That's the way that whole calf and foot massage thing felt: it was just superficial. I've seen traffic guards use more energy moving their hands to direct traffic than these people used on my and my friend's calves and feet. So, the hot stones should have been great, right? Wrong. They are best used when they're hot. These were warm at best. But the thing that really angered me was that the woman at the front desk showed me the choices for pedicures and we chose the 40-minute pedicure/massage. And then the two people working on my friend and me started and ended at the same time: total time was 20 minutes. If you clearly advertise it and then don't deliver, then you're asking for no mercy on the review. Now, I used to date a Vietnamese nail tech, so I know how this mostly goes: the nail tech usually gets to keep 50% of the cost of the service plus tips. So, the faster they churn through a customer, the more they make. But when we went there, they were far from busy. They had extra people just hanging out waiting for people. In other words, there was no financial reason that they had to short us so badly on time. If you've never had a great pedicure from someone who not only is careful but also has strong hands to give a fantastic calf and foot massage, then you might thing what this place offers is great. Ignorance is bliss. But if you've had a nail technician who has grip strength sufficient to hold a Starbucks Grande, then you'll realize that the weak and superficial job they do here is incredibly substandard. It's probably sufficient for newborns but for an adult, well, you could pretty much do the same thing when you apply soap in the shower. So, there's no chance I'm heading back there. Yes, this place is shiny. But shiny don't mean shinnola unless it's got substance to back it, and this place doesn't have it. read more

Went in for the first time recently. The many women who work there seemed to all be talking at once throughout my time there, noisy and definitely not a relaxing experience. I would rate my pedicure a "5". The woman was very quick and didn't put a lot of effort into it. I saw another woman use the foot scraper and this lady did not. The massage was very quick as well and she was talking to the worker next to her the whole time, it was annoying. My gel manicure was about the same, a "5". One of my nails was broken on one side and I said to her I think this nail is broken. I assumed that she was going to glue it to keep it from further breaking, but she didn't. She never answered me. I asked her a few other questions, and she ignored them. I also noticed that the polish job was sloppy. When she brought out the bowl of water to put my hand in it was cold. I told her the water was very cold, and she ignored me as well and kept going. I had gotten there in the morning when it first opened and the floor was dirty and needed to be swept. i used to go to this place all the time and i moved from the area so i stopped going. i recently am back and went to this salon again to get a fill. and i'm less than pleased. i think this place is great for regular manicures and gel manicures shallac, etc. however, i went to get my fill(with gel) the lady that did my nails ground down my nails so much that she actually cut two of my fingers while doing so. after this she was painting my nails with the gel and she wasn't giving it enough time to set under the lights. also when she filed my nails she filed them crooked so several of my acrylics are now crooked too. she also didn't paint the tip of the nails so a ton of them are peeling. this is not my first time getting my acrylics done with gel, so i know it's not anything i'm doing to my nails, it was simply the job that was done. this place is a great atmosphere and i want to love it as much as i used to, but as long as i have acrylics i won't be going back. read more

I've been coming here for years and was mostly happy, but I've had bad experiences the last few times !!!! On July 30, 2022 I was with my granddaughter for a manicure and pedicure before going on vacation, firstly the service was very rude, secondly, I was surprised by the price for a child who had no color, only a care treatment that was done quickly and carelessly paid $ 50, third my gel started dropping off after a week for which I paid $ 65 when I tipped $ 20 A lady with a puzzled expression asked that it was for the two of us !!! After a month of returning from vacation, I went on the last Sunday, 08/21, I'm talking to the owner (I'm not sure, because nobody introduces herself there, you never see their names) I explained to her that recently my gel comes off after a week... I ask for an employee (lady) that does a good job !!!!!!! and again the same ... after four hours I came back to fix my thumb, the gel fell off and on Monday morning the gel fell off my second hand's index finger I paid 65 $ plus 15 $ type I do not compare the prices in other salons because I always came to Sunrise Nails !! !! I know when I come back to the correction tonight after work the ladies will be unpleasant same was on Sunday when I came back after four hours (but I don't care because they are unpleasant anyway) they use old cheap products ... they don't do their job honestly they only care about a generous type but for what ???? .... I do not recommend wasting money and time, they do not care about satisfied customers, they will lose business, there is a lot of competition :( :( I am very disappointed) read more

Honestly one of the most disappointing experiences. I have already been here once and it wasn't good but it was a few years ago so I thought maybe it was the girl I got or something. Also, all of the other good places were booked and they had an opening. I went and waited probably ten minutes or so and it started off well. I showed the girl my design and she said that she would try. The design ended up looking nothing like the picture I showed her (there was just a lot of blank space and overall didn't look good). I was honestly really disappointed and asked her if she could add in another color to the areas that were sparse. She told me she didn't have time and sealed my nails up w a top coat?? When I was leaving I realized that I was late to an appointment and didn't have time to dry my nails. After explaining this to her, she kept telling me to sit as if I didn't have an option. I ended up walking out instead. Honestly was a really frustrating experience. I payed 30 dollars for shitty nails that are already chipping.... I just really don't think it's acceptable when you ask them to fix it and they ignore you. Just felt rude and rushed. Never going back here again. read more

I was given bumpy sharp nails which was not what I asked for. When I asked for them to be filed down more she ignored me. I was thoroughly impressed by this nail salon. First, it's very spacious. There are actually two pedicure rooms - one can be reserved for private parties, couples pedicures, bridal parties, etc. in addition to being used as overflow when things get busy. The pedicure stations are very unique and look very nice. Stainless steel foot tubs are also a nice touch (and more sterile). They have a huge selection of colors (China Glaze, Essie, OPI and the like). I didn't choose the "deluxe" pedicure. I just asked for a regular old pedicure and it came with an exfoliating scrub, hot stones and oil plus hot towels. The chairs in the pedicure room don't have a massage function, but after a manicure, they do a short shoulder massage while your nails are drying so that's a nice touch. I'm reserving a star because 1) I missed having a full back massage while having a pedicure and more importantly 2), the hot towels that were used on me smelled like mildew. It smelled horrible and it's an easy fix...don't leave towels in the wet warmer for more than a day and perhaps scent the towels like other salons do ("cotton" scent or lemongrass are always fan faves). Nice technicians who did a great job and a pretty salon BUT...as I sat watching clients leave who were finished with their manicures ...another client would sit in the chair and the technician never changed out or sanitized the instruments she had been using on the previous client...this was not an isolated incident ...the place was busy and what I described above happened over and over again as I sat there getting my manicure...! I will not go back based on the the lack of sanitation of the instruments that I saw...I'm kind pissed that I didn't notice this previous to my manicure , but if had not sat there for a period of time I wouldn't have noticed! Hello - I go to this business and have always had pretty good service. However, I was there a couple of days ago and it was awful! The girls who work there were all talking to each other in Vietnamese, which is fine, but they were yelling back and forth to each other in the customer's faces AND when a person came in for service, they would look at each other and laugh! Used to be my main nail salon. After multiple visits I've received bad service and won't be going back. Past couple of times my nails came out terrible. Painted poorly and terribly shaped, clearly rushed. I went today and waited for 25 minutes. 3 different workers asked what I wanted done within this time. I watched 7 people who came in after me be helped before me. After 25 minutes past the fourth worker asked what I needed done and then proceeded to tell me there was nobody here who could give me a fill and I left. I used to love this place but now I will never return. The entire time the woman didn't seem to care one bit as to how my full set of acrylic nails were coming out. She eventually started filling down my SKIN and when i told her it hurt and that she was only getting my skin she continued what she was doing. Then when I asked if they had gold gems for my nails ( which they have done before ) I was laughed at by the woman and her coworkers. After that I asked if they had a matte top coat and there wasn't a single bottle of matte top coat in the entire store. I would say it you want paint and ONLY the bare minimum nail polish on your nail experience then come here!!! They clearly do NOT know the difference between their types of pedicures like the smooth pedicure and regular one. You come in for the experience and a good nail job with a friendly face. The ladies who painted my sister and Is toes were VERY rude. First they didn't even do the full experience of what we paid for which was the smooth pedicure which is about $10 more than a regular pedicure. they both rushed through our pedicures and did a poor job. Secondly, my sisters lady got very upset when the lady told my sister that the nail polish she chose was running out but would be okay for her toes... Even though her toe nails looked awful and splotchy so she asked for the white instead and the lady continued to argue with my sister about why she shouldn't change it. Right after she turned to the lady doing my nails and started speaking in another language in a VERY annoyed tone. LASTLY, my lady came up to me while my feet were drying and kept repeating that I MUST pay now and wouldn't leave but I wanted to go up to the counter so I could tip and pay myself. I caved because she just kept standing there and staring at me. Then after returning my card, she just stood and stared but I had no cash for a tip which is why I wanted to pay at the counter to tip on my card. I've never written a negative review online before. However I'm so disappointed at how I was treated at Sunrise Nails that I think it's important for other customers to know. Many of the nail technicians do great work but you're not always treated kindly. I asked my nail tech to pick me out a dark pink, as she began doing my nails. I said the color looked red. She said no when it dries and I put the top coat on it's pink, trust me. When I was done my nails were bright red. I asked if she could just put a coat of pink over my nails and I would pay extra. I just didn't want red nails. She responded by saying they look good, I said I didn't care for it and she told me I was difficult. I was shocked! She reluctantly painted a coat over my nails. When I was done. The owner Helen spoke to her and told her I could not stay and dry my nails because she had people waiting? After spending $77.00 and giving a $30.00 tip. I was horrified. I'm not a difficult or demanding person. So there I was trying to pay, get my keys and wallet with wet fingernails. After paying, I quietly told Helen I thought it was wrong she wouldn't give me 5 minutes to dry my nails. She walked away from me. Helen herds the customers like cattle and doesn't care about your satisfaction, she seems to only care about the next $ coming in the door. After several years of going to Sunrise and not always being treated nicely, I've decide no more. It's not necessary to support any business that doesn't treat you kindly. read more

I've been here before and was never too impressed with any of the technicians I got. I went today because I had a gift certificate to use. I got a mani-pedi and literally have never been so impressed at a nail salon! I highly recommend Tina! She was thorough, meticulous, and attentive. My nails came out great and I received a very relaxing leg, foot, arm, hand, shoulder, and upper back massage. She took her time and made sure everything was perfect!
