I have used this company several times and referred them countless more! The first time I used this company was several years ago to remove two very large oak tree in my yard that were dead and diseased. It was an incredibly intricate job and the crew did amazing. They run like a well oiled machine and or so careful. They were mindful of my property, as well as that of the surrounding area. So, when we had a tree fall on our sheds in the backyard During yesterday's crazy winds, I knew this was the company to call. I fully intended to leave a message, but Jason, the owner, actually answered, and was able to come by within hours to survey the damage and provide an estimate. And, his crew was back today to complete the job! Jason is an awesome owner. In addition, Alfredo, who is my main point of contact for the crew, was great. Super knowledgeable and professional, but very friendly and energetic. I felt so bad because it's so cold out today and they didn't act like it phased them at all. I actually recommended this company to my neighbor, and she's already scheduled them to come out and remove a tree in her yard! This is an amazing locally owned business run by honest and ethical people who are very fairly priced. I cannot recommend them enough. read more

Jason came out to our place, was great to work with and gave us a fair price. Since we were waterfront we needed permits, snd he submitted that right away. He kept us informed along the way. When the tram cane out to trim the trees, Alfredo was polite and cared about doing things right. read more

I cannot speak highly enough of the amazing work that Sunrise Tree did. The staff was polite and professional. They valued my opinion on what I wanted but were honest and forthcoming when they thought I might do something to harm a tree. Their trimmers were both artistic and extremely conciencious of their surrounders. We were nervous because some of the trees were very close to the house, but they took great care with safety to my home and themselves. They took no shortcuts. We were also concerned that this large job on three acres of propert would create a mess. That was not the case, they cleaned up after themselves so well, that you could barely tell they were there. They even illimated the sawdust from the chainsaws! The most important thing, the price was right. They came in at a reasonable bid and did not create any extras after the fact. I responded to an advertisement left in my mailbox to obtain a free estimate for 4 trees to be removed and also reduce some of the canopies. Jason and his assistant Brian, came out at the time they had called to schedule and gave me an estimate on the spot. Not only was their price very reasonable, it was much less than other tree removal companies that I have used in the past. They came out to do the work on the day that I had selected and were painstakingly careful not to hurt other trees or shrubs in my yard. They kept asking me about different branches to cut in the canopy and did more than I actually had paid for because they felt it looked better and I agreed. Brian, the manger overlooked the crew and they were faster than I thought possible. Some of the crew also cleaned up all the leaves in my cul-de-sac not attributable to them and also my neighbor's driveways while they were waiting for others to finish. We had a great experience working with this company. We had several large trees which needed removed, one of which knocked down our fence. The owner himself called us back same day and we quickly got a quote. The quote was extremely fair and lined up with our insurance. The crew arrived within days did a fantastic job. They worked quickly and finished almost everything before lunch. The owner was a great guy and actually trimmed and sculpted a few bushes for us by hand at our request. Very surprised by some of the other reviews. Jason and his team were great, fast, helpful and blew off my driveway from a pile of branches left behind from yard waste day. They removed a tree I had damaged in a storm and trimmed a few other trees. They trimmed more than I had asked for (only after making sure I was ok with it) and did not charge me extra they did it because the additional branches needed to go to keep tree healthy. They didn't ask for payment until they were done. read more

We used sunrise tree and landscaping to remove a tree and have stumps grinded. The company was only able to cut the tree down, arriving hours late and needing to come back the following day. They were unable to grind the stump and did not provide a refund. When requesting the refund the company exchanged blame on each other and others and continued to deny the ability to refund. I advise not to use this company as they are dishonest and unprofessional. read more

Unlicensed. Do not use this company they try and present themselves as professional but are far from it. They came in with sub par equipment. Some employees looks to be on drugs. Safety is not even a thought with these guys. Their climber was missing half his teeth and very inexperienced. Jason had to have another company come out to do the climbing. Equipment was not as advertised on website or anywhere else. Left huge holes in my yard and didn't bother to fix them was told that would cost extra. Several parts of my fence where damaged Jason said sorry but there was no way to avoid it offered to fix if I paid for the materials. What a joke. It's a shame because Jason is a very nice guy. Just doesn't seem to be all there upstairs. I really hate to write this review but they aren't who they say they are. May give you a cheap price but you get what you pay for. Also to find out he has no license it's actually illegal to preform tree work with no license in Maryland. Don't make the same mistake hire a real arborist with a Maryland Tree Expert Lic. read more

Jason Wilhide is the owner of Sunrise Tree and Landscaping. I hired the company for $1,500 to remove bamboo after they knocked on my door soliciting business. The contract was cut and dry. Remove the bamboo including roots by means of a bobcat, haul the roots & dirt away and replace the dirt with premium topsoil. Unbeknownst to me, they dumped 50% of the roots and dirt in the common ground, ignoring the signs ,"NO DUMPING, VILOATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED," then they had the nerve to ask for $500 more stating they under bided the job. Because the job was done and they were gone when I discovered they breached the contract, I called and emailed Jason Wilhide and demanded he come back and fix the problem. After four broken promises, I took Jason to court. In mediation he agreed to remove the roots and dirt from the common ground. The judge advised him he was under oath and that if he did not deliver on his promise, that I could return and we would have a trial. Back to court we went and on 12/17/2013, the judge ruled in my favor. Needless to say, Jason refuses to pay my judgment. ****BEWARE**** That's what I should have done when they knocked on my door. read more
