We stayed at Sunseeker Resort over the July 4th weekend, so we fully expected it to be busier than normal. Overall, we had a wonderful vacation, but there were definitely some highs and lows. Let's start with check in. When we arrived, the lobby looked like the entire state of Florida had decided to check in at the exact same time. The line was LONG, but to their credit, it only took about 25 minutes. Before our stay, I specifically called the resort because my husband has severe allergies and asthma triggered by pet dander. I was assured we'd be placed on a non pet floor. At check in, we reminded the staff again, but unfortunately, we were assigned a room that had very clearly just had a pet in it. Within five seconds of walking inside, my husband's allergies went into overdrive. Thankfully, the front desk was very understanding and immediately moved us to another room, and inside that room he had no issues. However, there were at least six dogs on our floor during our stay, so every walk to and from our room caused his allergies and asthma to flare up. What was really disappointing was finding out at check out that there is actually a pet free tower specifically for guests with allergies. Had we been placed there from the beginning, it likely would have made a huge difference for my husband. Now for the MVP of our trip, Lauren Hill. She is the manager at level blue & she completely turned our experience around. When we booked our hotel stay, I was able to reserve lounge chairs for July 5. At the time, I was told that July 4 would be first come, first served and that reservations would not be accepted because of the holiday. However, when we arrived on July 3, we were told that all of the lounge chairs for July 4 had actually been reserved and were completely sold out. Needless to say, I was frustrated. While ordering drinks at the adult pool, I noticed Lauren helping one of the servers and asked if she was a manager because she was dressed a little differently. Thank goodness I did! She listened, genuinely cared, and somehow worked her magic to secure five lounge chairs for us on July 4. She also told us about the rooftop fire pit reservations for the fireworks, and we were able to book one of those too. Lauren did not just solve problems. She made us feel like valued guests. She is the definition of outstanding customer service, and honestly, if it were not for her, this review would look very different. Sunseeker is incredibly lucky to have her. She deserves every bit of recognition for the way she takes care of guests. The rooftop fireworks experience was a lot of fun. Watching both the fireworks from the adult rooftop should have been the perfect experience. Unfortunately, several people who had not paid for reserved seating decided to stand directly in front of us, completely blocking our view of the county fireworks. It would have been nice if staff had stepped in since many guests had paid for those premium seats. Thankfully, once the resort's own fireworks began, we had an incredible view. The resort absolutely knocked their fireworks show out of the park. It was beautiful! Now...the food. Unfortunately, the food was the biggest disappointment of the trip. I ordered the tuna poke bowl, and the tuna was a grayish brown color that did not exactly inspire confidence. But the real surprise was the two scoops of white rice, which were completely frozen solid. I honestly did not know frozen rice was a thing, but apparently it is. The pizza downstairs was ok. We enjoyed the BBQ Chicken pizza, which was our favorite. The family pool was beautiful and had a great atmosphere. One thing that caught us off guard was the towel policy. The lounge chairs had noticeable mold and mildew stains on them, so I asked for extra towels, . I was told the policy was strictly 1 towel per person. I'm sorry this is luxury Hilton Curio Collection resort, not a holiday inn.. Buy more towels so you can accommodate your guests, or have chair covers like do they upstairs at level blue. Now for the best part. The resort itself is absolutely stunning. The adult only rooftop pool and bar are incredible, the family pool is beautiful, and the rooms are gorgeous with floor to ceiling windows overlooking Charlotte Harbor. Waking up to those water views every morning was pure bliss. Despite a few frustrating moments, we genuinely enjoyed our stay. The beautiful property, amazing pools, incredible fireworks, and exceptional staff made for a memorable Fourth of July weekend. If there is one area Sunseeker could really improve, it is the quality of the food. The resort itself feels like a five star destination, but the dining simply did not match the caliber of the property. Elevating the food experience would take this resort from great to truly exceptional. And one last time, Lauren Hill deserves every bit of recognition she can get. She did not just improve our stay. Sunseeker review Upon check-in, they give you 4 Buy One, Get One free drink vouchers. Smart from a business standpoint. Brings people over that normally wouldn't go. The promenade that wraps essentially around the entire property is very nice. My husband and I both jogged and walked it multiple times. There are info cards along the way sharing facts about the unique estuary and animals that inhabit the area. Wheelchair friendly - accessible into the pool and rooftop bar/pool Rooftop bar - fully stocked, due to limited seating, there are lounge chairs available for purchase. If you spend at least $25 on food & beverages that covers your chair. I tried the Pink Paradise Bowl at Half Cracked Tiki Shack. It was not good. It was half melted and there was an odd flavor to the smoothie part. The hostess (Kay) was very kind and helpful! Food wise: lots of options, however limited hours. the food hall has two things open all day (All American and a cafe). Everything else opens after 4pm. The food is pricey and tastes very mediocre. There were not a lot of vegan options at the resort so we went away a few times during our stay to find food. Overall, great place & look forward to coming back! read more

This place was great. Staff was all do welcoming. Didn't have my room ready in time but took care of me because of it. Beautiful resort. The food at the Asian place was excellent. Best poke I've had in a long time. Kids loved the fried rice and Mongolian beef. Side note: little strange to me (but I'm not from Florida). Many of the patrons were Hispanic so everyone in the pool was speaking Spanish. The servers are older white folks. I'm used to all inclusive resorts in Mexico so it's the total opposite. What a wow factor! This beautiful waterfront resort delivers amazing views, an awesome staff, and plenty of food and beverage options on site. It's also very walkable, which made getting around easy and enjoyable. There are two pools that are as relaxing as they come, and to top it off, they offer a BOGO deal at select restaurants on the property, which is a great perk. The guest room was spacious and clean, and I absolutely loved the ceiling fan... that should honestly be standard across all hotels. This was the perfect staycation. I didn't feel the need to leave the property because there was more than enough to do. It's very kid, family, and adult friendly. While I was there for some R&R in the midst of the spring breakers, some adults were clearly enjoying their own version of spring break too, which added to the fun vibe!! The views from the rooftop pool were breathtaking. I mean who doesn't love a good food hall ... which they had on-site! I enjoyed everything from sushi and General Tso's chicken to a chicken rice bowl with all the fixings, plus a hearty steak dinner at the on-site steakhouse before I left. I didn't want to gatekeep this spot... it's just that good. Top notch from beginning to end. Must stay, and I will absolutely be back. read more

Got in here for New Years. New resort right on the water in Punta Gorda. Really nice place. SO many things to write about. They have a food hall and individual restaurants. I reviewed the restaurants separately and didn't get any food from the food court. We did try the bar that was there and bartenders were great. Nice place to unwind in the evening. Rooms were really nice and clean. First night we had a standard room with floor to ceiling window. Nice but the next and following nights we upgraded to a balcony room. Very nice!! The only knock is there is no beach but there is a lot to do here. A huge pool and another on the rooftop. We will try and get back here when it is warmer. read more

Just returned from a long weekend stay. Agree with other reviews, the property is beautiful, the rooms were super clean and modern. I loved the controls for lights, ceiling fan and A/C. So simple and easy to use! Everything was well-designed in the entire room including the bathroom. The main pool was beautiful and a general nice place to hang out. We also went upstairs to the adult infinity pool and it was beautiful but I felt the $25 pp lounge chair charge was an overkill attempt at generating revenue. I'm already paying $45 per day resort fee. Also, whose idea was it to put black metal chairs on a rooftop in Florida? All staff we encountered were friendly, outgoing, positive attitudes, made eye contact and greeted you. 5 stars to the hotel staff. read more

We wanted to play at Aileron golf club but you need to be a private member of the club or stay at Sunseeker resort. So we stayed at Sunseeker resort, Sunday through Tuesday. We used the self park option in the garage. It was very easy. We received mobile check in and key so the key card on the mobile app worked for the garage and our room. Our room was spacious and bright. It wasn't that clean, however. The walls need a good wipe down for stains, especially in the bathroom. Some of the bathroom towels had stains, even before we used them. The hair dryer worked, but the handle was broken- so the hair dryer would not stay "cocked" during use. The shower was great and the soaps too. The bed was comfy and we appreciated the various styles of pillow. The AC was very noisy. I was glad to have ear plugs at night because it would make a loud noise every time it kicked on. The door to our room was not installed or cut correctly. There was a large gap along the floor that let a ton of light in at night. We put a towel there to block it. They should repair the door. There is a safe, an iron and ironing board, and a coffee maker. The fridge was suspect- it didn't seem to cool very well. I would not trust food in there. Our stay was ok. I appreciate the ladies texting me to see how things were going. I complained about the loud AC and the cockroach I found on the desk, after our first night's sleep. They offered to swap rooms for us but we only had one more night and we had already unpacked. I also used the text system to notify them that our regular coffee pods were not refreshed. An attendant came to our room within 30 min and brought more decaf. No bro. We want regular. We have decaf. So he went back and came back again. So dumb that we had to do that. The clean the room and restock but gave us all decaf pods for whatever reason. During our stay, we played golf at Aileron, had lunch and drink at the restaurant at Aileron, ate dinner at Maury's, and had drinks at Half Cracked Tiki Shack- see separate reviews for those businesses. The weather had taken a turn for the worse. It was high 30s- low 40s, so we didn't go to the pool or beach area at all. It was difficult to be outside- and you have to walk outside to get to Maury's, their steakhouse. The gym, however, was very nice. Probably the best gym we have seen at a hotel, aside from Las Vegas, for which you pay to use. The hotel had a food court with many options. I heard the Asian restaurant is really good. They also have ice cream and coffee. Had we stayed more than 2 nights, we would have taken advantage of it. You can come to the hotel just to eat and drink, you don't have to stay. However, you do have to pay for parking; Probably best to uber in and out. The hotel it self is very nice. The lobby is gorgeous. There was a conference starting as we were leaving, with race cars in the lobby. Cool! There is a shop for clothing, swimwear and accessories near the lobby for all your last minute needs. I don't think I would stay here again but I would enjoy a day pass if they have them and I would enjoy coming back for a meal again. Of course I want to play golf at their private course again- so I might be back. They recently signed with Hilton so it's no longer part of Allegiant/Allways rewards. read more

I recently stayed here for a work trip and it was so gorgeous! The rooftop area and pools were stunning, I also liked being able to use google cast on the TV to use my streaming apps. I had the most amazing facial here! The staff was so friendly and I enjoyed my complimentary mimosa. The gym and spa were both lovely. Overall great experience! I took one star off as we worked 12 hour shifts and there were no places open for breakfast before 6am. They should consider adding some grab and go options for late night or early mornings with self checkout. The pool bars closing 1Hr after sunset also limited options for those of us who were working long days. read more

Stayed for a quick 2 night stay recently and we loved our time here! The resort pool was great and not too crowded, the food hall was delicious with lots of options, and the drinks were tasty. Some of the workers in the food hall area weren't very pleasant though. You also have to pay a hefty resort fee for each night at well as parking. read more

I know I'm super late with this review (4th of July feels like ages ago ), but I was just scrolling through my pics and couldn't stop thinking about how I've been totally gatekeeping this gem of a resort--time to share the love! We booked a cabana for the day and even though the weather wasn't perfect (it rained and there was some thunder, so we had to step out of the pool for a bit), we still had an amazing time. The cabanas come stocked with soft drinks, waters, a fresh fruit plate, a TV, and fans to keep things cool--it was such a vibe. Inside the resort, right through the lobby, there's a food hall packed with yummy options--honestly, everything we tried was delicious and surprisingly well-priced for the quality. Already looking forward to coming back--definitely booking again soon! If you're considering it, do it! Just maybe don't wait as long as I did to rave about it. read more

This is specifically for the FITNESS CENTER! One of our favorite experiences at a hotel gym yet! Everything you could possibly need is available. Freeway stationary machines, tons of cardio and group fitness rooms. I took a cardio circuit class with the wonderful trainer Trish and she was so delightful and good at her job. PS the classes are free for hotel guests. That's not the norm and I really appreciated being able to take advantage of that. The ladies @ the spa desk were very helpful. Anytime we went to the gym in the morning. If we ever stay @ Sunseeker again we will definitely look forward to visiting the fitness center! read more

I was really excited about our weekend at Sunseeker Resort and loved that it was a dog friendly resort but the excitement soon faded! Check in was really fast and easy, the gentleman that checked us in was really friendly and professional. Our room was beautiful and super clean and we had a partial view of the bay but sadly most of our view was of the parking lot. I did not deduct any points for the subpar view. I did deduct points because although they claimed to be a pet friendly resort. Pets weren't actually allowed anywhere other than the lobby and your room. They did not even have an allocated area for walking dogs. Several people would walk their dogs in the front of the hotel but my husband found a patch of grass between the main entrance and the parking garage to walk our fur babies. I also deducted points because the housekeeping staff did a poor job of cleaning our room during our stay. They changed towels and made the bed. The floors still had hair when we returned and nothing was organized. I'm use to the cleaning staff, cleaning and organizing during my trips. This staff did bare minimum. I was surprised at how fast she finished until I got back into the room to see the job that was done. Finally, we were not able to enjoy many things in the resort due to weather. Rooftop Bar was closed, pool was closed. They really should offer more to do onsite in case of bad weather! All in all, it was just a lackluster experience and I don't think we'll be returning. read more

Sunseeker's Holiday Celebration! We had a truly enchanting day, as we attended a Christmas brunch at Sunseeker's. We arrived at 12 and went to the rooftop Blue Level 6 for cocktails, where I opted for a spicy Bloody Mary and Ray chose a Red 2017 Zinfandel Wine, both of which proved to be exceptional. Bar consume' were Doug and Tyler ! At 1 pm we made our way to the grand ballroom, where we were seated at a lovely spot, by Maria. A lovely violin band, (video music provided attached) whose music added even more delight to our Christmas, performed in the background. The culinary experience was decadent, featuring a wide range of delicacies including omelets, French toast, pancakes, and delicate breads, as well as meats, charcuteries, cheeses, and vegetables. The main course included prime succulent rib, lean ham, salmon, chicken, multiple preparations of potatoes, rice pilaf, array of veggies, and a wide selection of salads. Our server, Andrea was on point with our wine and mimosas.The dessert options were equally impressive, with a wide range of choices available. Chocolate Ganache' and Mousse, tarts, cookies, cream puff's and much more. Truly, we had no been previous to this marvel event, however you can be assured we will definitely return! I've stayed here four times for conventions, and I want to start with what they do exceptionally well--because there's a lot. The property itself is absolutely stunning. The grounds are beautifully maintained, everything is spotless, and the rooms are gorgeous. You can tell there's real care put into the physical plant. The pools are beautiful. The staff, overall, are kind and welcoming. I especially want to highlight the gentlemen who run the golf carts and valet. They are truly the stars of the experience. They're warm, attentive, and bring a level of hospitality that stands out every single time. They bring a Ritz Carlton level of service to this property. That said, there are some consistent frustrations--especially around food and overall atmosphere--that are hard to ignore and weigh heavily on the experience here. If you're here for a convention, this place works ok. But if you're expecting a Florida-style vacation experience where you can relax, stay up a bit later, grab food, and enjoy the evening... it falls short. Food access is surprisingly limited and lots of guests chat about it. The food hall closes at 10 PM, and after that, there's really nowhere casual to go. And everything in the food hall isn't open when guests would normally go looking for food. The on-site restaurants are nice, but they require a more significant financial commitment and don't fill that "grab a snack, have a drink, sit and talk, enjoy the balmy waterside, Florida night" kind of space. There's just no easy, relaxed option for winding down at night. Even the outdoor areas--like the boardwalk--feel underutilized. There are small shops for souvenirs clothing - but they're rarely opened. The location is prime but the experience is lacking. They do have a band, it seems some evenings, but when I peeked in there, it was very low attendance. No beach access, no real evening energy, and not much to do. It lacks that lively, social Florida feel. On what I'm pretty sure was my last visit there, I stood in line behind a family ordering ice cream. The last person to order was a gentleman in a wheelchair, clearly part of the group, and the staff member stopped mid-service and told him she was closed. The rest of the family had already been served. It was uncomfortable to watch--and I, too, was summarily dismissed. The gentleman in the wheelchair was NOT served but HE paid! We heard that the two associate who manage the property actually live on site. If that's true that's even more disappointing because it should be fairly easy to see the problems here. Perhaps they're not empowered to fix them? But to go in the morning to get coffee and have to stand 15- 25 people deep to get a cup of coffee; to see a sign that says the bakery is gonna open at 8 AM and then to hear from someone who works there that they've "decided they're gonna instead open at 4"... For places not to open until 10 or 11 in the morning for you to eat at except for one breakfast place? It can just be awkward here to get food and long waits. The sports bar has really good service and really good food but again it's not open as often as you might think. On Sunday for example it doesn't open until 5 PM at least for now. You don't have to go long or far before you hear fellow guests talking about food problems here. A few other notes: - Room amenities are a bit sparse (though you can request extras) - The rooftop pool requires a food/beverage minimum - Overall, the space feels more functional than experiential after hours In short: This is a beautiful property, a gorgeous physical plant, with genuinely kind staff and fair convention accommodations. But as a place to stay and enjoy Florida--especially if you value flexibility, late-night options, and a more relaxed, social atmosphere--it may leave you wanting more. As a Floridian, I'd personally choose a different location. I hope they figure it out. Here's a wild idea: why don't you ask all the retired employees that work here to sit down with you and help brainstorm. You have hundreds of years of business experience in retired folks here and many of them have done some pretty awesome things. You might get some really good feedback from them because they listen to your guests day in and day out talk about the same concerns over and over again. After Sunseeker reply: I found it annoying that you took the time to brag instead of specifically address the concerns. And you ended with the most broad reaching, common, Customer Service response ever about forwarding it to your leadership team, etc. etc.. So it doesn't really matter to me what you do since we won't go back, but I think it's important that other people who are considering going know that the food and coffee situation falls short to the point that it's disruptive. And to be clear: it's not the quality of what you can get. It's the availability that is very throttled. read more

Originally from Port Charlotte, I visited family over Easter and couldn't help but notice the stunning new hotel that's been built here in Charlotte County. I've always been curious about it, and I'm so glad we finally got to stay! The food was incredible, with a wide variety of options--from seafood and Asian cuisine to burgers and even a bakery on-site. We stayed for three nights, and the room was absolutely beautiful--spacious, comfortable, and with a view I truly loved. The hotel is pet-friendly, and they really go out of their way to make you and your furry companions feel welcome. Parking was reasonably priced, with in-and-out rates around $5 for up to 6 hours and about $25 overnight. Considering the resort-like atmosphere and amenities such as a spa and a rooftop pool/bar, it felt well worth it. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Port Charlotte. It's a fantastic addition to our small town, and I can't wait to stay again! read more

The story is that glass broke in the pool and so it is closed for our stay. There was no signage and we got in the water!! Very dangerous. Extremely disappointing. Also note that due to the weather/lightning the pool is closed most of the time anyway. read more

The sunseeker resort in port charlotte is a nice resort in the area with well maintained grounds, clean rooms and beautiful views. At check-in, the front desk associate was very pleasant and made the process easy. When we tried to get into the room, it turns out we were given someone else's room as there were other guests in it. The front desk associate quickly fixed the issue but it was not a great start to our stay. It was disappointing to see stained towels in our bathroom which we had to ask to replace immediately. The grounds are maintained well and the staff is very nice, just wish there were more of the staff around. Many of the nights, an after dinner drink at the bar was impossible to get with one server at each bar - it didn't matter where we were - the pool bar, the cafe area, the sports bar, every spot was short staffed. Breakfast time has limited options around the resort and their hours of operations seemed to change daily. It was very frustrating to figure out what's open at what time that day. The one time we were able to grab some food at the resort, it was very good. The lobster roll and fresh oysters were a nice treat. Here are the positives: The pools were so nice and clean. The resort has plenty of spots for you to hang out with a crowd, by yourself or with your significant other. The gift shop is very nice as is the spa. The resort is in a great location with nice views of the bay and very close to local places such as the Fisherman's village. read more

This hotel is beautiful but they have some work to do . Maybe now that the Hilton Owens it would get better . Checking was easy and the lady offers a late check out for $35 . We said yes . Fort day we just had lunch by pool upstairs and our server was very nice food was good . The next day ‍. We went back to the upstairs pool at 9 am the check in there wasn't good . The girls told us that we need to spend each $25 to be up there and after a certain time would be more ( I think was 1 ) .. everything there was close until 11 so we took a walk and just got coffee and went back to the pool . We had some lunch wasn't bad but was great . You get a buy one get one free drink at check that you can use daily but only covers one person so we used . We need to check out so we left at 12:30 pm and when were leaving the pool the girl at check in ask if we were leaving in a rude way and need an information again. We told her we spend the minimum . Right after we went to the works and keys didn't work I guess lady at check in made a mistake and didn't do it right . So we went to downstairs to have that fix and we explain everything that has happened they apologized . It turned the Front desk lady messed up a lot of stuff during chekced in and messed up all the charges so we had to fix all that. I hope everything gets better for this place ! read more

My husband and I just shared a wonderful weekend at Sunseeker. We will be posting a vlog soon about our experience. This trip was not sponsored, we paid for it on our own and there were a few great and no so great things I wanted to share. We stayed in a one bedroom in the Sunsuite area. Our room was incredible, the staff was so attentive and kind, there are complimentary non alcoholic beverages, snacks, and coffees throughout the day. The resort is stunning, it gives luxury cruise ship vibes without feeling crowded. It does not have a beach but that wasn't a dealbreaker for us. However what was upsetting is that the adult only pool on the rooftop was broken throughout our entire stay. We were really looking forward to enjoying that area as we didn't have our children with us and there were some other guests that were very upset by this. The food throughout the resort was really good. There were a few exceptions. I got a salad from the Italian restaurant in the food court area that claimed to have salami on it, it was barely one piece of sliced salami that was browning. Definitely do not recommend. We felt the steakhouse was overhyped. The food was very good but the staff, likely because they were short staffed were not very attentive and we had to flag our server down quite a few times. This was the same issue we had throughout the resort. The other was the limited availability of breakfast options. We ended up getting breakfast sandwiches but they were $12 for a biscuit with bacon egg and cheese. They were delicious but that's pretty pricy. The staff members we encountered were all amazing but insanely overworked and understaffed. Vincent at check in at the sunsuites was awesome! Very friendly, kept checking in with us throughout the day when we saw him to see how we're were doing and if we had questions. We loved the sports bar, food and drinks were awesome. But at times they only had one server who was also the bartender for the entire place. Which was wildddd because it's a big restaurant. The manager was great and pitched in to help. The kitchen staff was incredible they came out to check on our meals. We spoke with a lot of staff about the switchover from Allegiant to Hilton. They all had wonderful things to say about Hilton and how they kept the "locals" happy by employing many of them. But the resort itself for wanting to be luxury, doesn't have the number of staff yet to make that claim. The main pool bar only had 2 servers, they were so amazing but for the size of the pool we also had to hunt our server down a few times for drinks and to close out with her. We ended up going to the pool bar a couple times to get our own drinks because poor Krissy was just overworked. She did phenomenal though! She was cleaning up lounge chairs, taking out trash, etc all while serving. We really want to go back for a family trip but will wait a while to see if the issue with the staff resolves. read more

This was our second stay at Sunseeker and it was fantastic just like the first time. The food from the food court and Half Cracked was fantastic. Our room was very clean and seemed just as new and nice as we did when we stayed just after opening. The employees were very nice and helped. The entire property is well taken care of and extremely clean. Our only issues were with lack of staffing at the food court and pool. The gelato place and the dessert place were very under staffed. Both nights of our stay the gelato place line was at least 8-10 people long and just one employee working. The first night of our stay they had 2 employees working at the dessert shop, it was backed up but not too bad, but again the gelato line was much too long. The second day we tried to order drinks and food at the pool but there seemed to be only 1 person taking orders so we went inside to the food court. read more

We've been to the Sunseeker to meet friends several times. We usually walk around to enjoy the view, look at all the shops in the food court (the bakery shop is amazing) and then eat somewhere. This time we ate at Half Cracked. The food was average tasting. Good, but nothing over the top. We had a number of errors, because we were the very first table ever for our server. I will not deduct for that. He was honest and took responsibility for the errors. We have been to Lorelei Spa once and it was amazing. I have never stayed here, because we are local. But, Sunseeker Resort is a fun spot to enjoy the water view, walk around and grab a drink or some food with friends. read more

This sort property opened in Dec2023, so it very much has that new, fresh feeling. The rooms are gorgeous, spacious, and great views of the pool. The resort is not all inclusive, but has 5+ restaurants and a garage food hall with more food/dessert options on site, where you didn't have to leave if you didn't want to! There are shopping options close by in the Fisherman's village. There they also offer sunset cruises, along with other cruising options. The resort is on the water, it is a harbor with no beach access. The closest public beaches are 30+ mins away from the property. As of Feb 2025, the beaches that were the closest were still closed due to Hurricane Milton aftermaths. While the beaches were closed, we took full advantage of the amazing pool they had on property. It's HUGE! There is a walk-in beach like area on one side that has little splash up fountains, along with the rest of the pool that have 3ft-5ft areas. There is also a pool that overlooks the harbor, a hot tub, a pool bar, games around the pool you can play (cornhole, etc), and music is always playing. During the day they sometimes had a live DJ. For the pool bar you can walk up and there is also staff walking around to take drink/food orders. There are cabanas you can rent for additional fees. They have TVs and access to pool floats. There is another pool on the rooftop that is also for an additional price and not included. It is adult only. There is a hotel shuttle for additional cost. At the time we went it is $25 for a 1 way trip up to 5 miles. All staff we encountered were all so pleasant and helpful. read more

wew reserved 4 nights thru priceline at the hotel. when we arrived we were put in a room at the end of a long hotel even though i am partially disabled and it was a handicap room. next there were no instructions on how to operate the components in the room even though they were complicated. we had to get a hotel maint. man to come to the room and show us how to get the curtain up for the window to block out the light for the night. we went to a large bar there were 3 customers at a 30 ft bar and it took us 15 minutes to get a drink. last and worse, i took a shower in the morning and the water ran across the floor almost to the opposite wall. we used up all the towels in the room and there was still water on the floor. we checked out after that, 3 days early and they charged my credit card for 4 nights even though we only stayed one. we dubbed this the trip to hell. read more

I am writing to express my disappointment with the condition of the facility during my recent visit. The food and beverages were significantly overpriced for the quality provided. Additionally, much of the pool furniture was covered in mold and mildew, making it unpleasant and unsanitary to use. The hot tub was not functioning properly, and the water appeared dirty and poorly maintained. There was also visible mold growth on the pool tiles, which further reflected a lack of proper upkeep. To make matters worse, trash was scattered throughout the area, creating an unclean and uninviting environment. Given the condition of the property and amenities, I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness and maintenance. I hope these issues will be addressed promptly to improve the experience for future guests. read more

This place is just so beautiful. We stayed in a 3-bedroom suite, and it was the nicest place we've ever stayed in. 3 large bedrooms, 2 large and very nice bathrooms, full kitchen with a large fridge, oven (with cookware), microwave, toaster, and a Nespresso machine! The couch and dining table were large and comfortable for our family of 5, and the views from every room were spectacular. The two bedrooms that the kids stayed in had large windows (unable to open), with double black out curtains. Such a relief to have safe and comfortable rooms for them. The patio door has a high-up kids lock, and the master has its own separate patio. The food hall had multiple options, the food was great, and the prices were very reasonable. The whole property was easily walkable, and we truly have no complaints. The pool- massive. Plenty of seating even when busy, the service was fantastic, and the drinks were A+. We will be coming back, and really look forward to it. read more

I am beyond disappointed with my experience at Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor -- and honestly, I'm still shaken by it. We paid extra for a room advertised as having an ocean view... and ended up facing the parking lot. That set the tone for the trip right away. When you're spending that kind of money at a resort that markets itself as luxury, you expect to get what you paid for. Breakfast on property was a disaster. We were told the wait would be 10-15 minutes. It was 30. Then we sat for another 30 minutes before anyone came to take our order. After ordering, it took 45 more minutes for the food to come out. Nearly TWO HOURS for breakfast. Completely unacceptable. Service at the Level Blue rooftop bar was just as bad. We were skipped over multiple times by the bartender and waited forever for drinks. The view and vibe are nice, but the service ruined it. The most serious issue was the handling of food allergies. I have a shellfish allergy and asked FIVE separate times about cross-contamination in the fryer. One staff member assured me there was no cross-contamination. Thankfully, I double-checked with another server before eating the potatoes -- and that person admitted there was cross-contamination. If I hadn't asked again, I could have had a severe allergic reaction. I almost ate something that could have sent me to the hospital -- or worse. My throat already felt scratchy from what I did consume. That is terrifying. Allergy safety is not optional. The fact that staff gave completely conflicting information is dangerous and unacceptable. A pretty property doesn't make up for poor service, false room expectations, and unsafe food practices. I expected luxury and professionalism. Instead, I left feeling frustrated, unsafe, and completely let down. read more

I'm truly surprised to see anything but positive reviews about this property! I will say that we booked a suite and that might be part of the difference. I can't speak to the quality of their regular hotel rooms. My wife and I are Lifetime Diamond Medallions with Hilton and have literally spent years of our lives in Hilton properties from Hampton Inns to Waldorf Astorias. Without exaggeration we were likely treated better at this property than any other Hilton property we've ever stayed at! EVERY staff member we interfaced with was exceedingly friendly and pleasant. I'd like to call out special appreciation to Steve who works at the Valet stand! We really didn't meet a single employee that wasn't entirely hospitality focused! I say this after working the last four years in the hospitality business myself! Absolutely extraordinary! Our suite was beautiful and very well appointed! We recently stayed at another Curio location that was quite a bit more expensive and far more lack luster! This property should be used by Hilton as a benchmark for other properties! Level Blue Rooftop is definitely worth a visit for the view alone. Open to the public (18+ only), it offers a breathtaking panoramic look at the harbor--absolutely gorgeous, especially at sunset. While swimming isn't allowed unless you're a resort guest, you can still enjoy the atmosphere, food, and drinks from the rooftop lounge area. We ordered the chicken and steak nachos to share between four people and were pleasantly surprised--great flavor and a generous portion that left us all satisfied. The drinks, on the other hand, were a bit of a letdown. While they looked great and were presented well, they were extremely overpriced and seemed to have very little alcohol in them. The overall vibe is relaxed and upscale. Staff were friendly and the resort pool below looked beautiful, even though we didn't have access to it. If you're coming for the view and a bite to eat, it's worth it. If you're looking for strong, value-for-money cocktails, you might be disappointed. read more
