    Burnt white pizza

Got a takeout white pizza $25.00. Should have looked at it before I left. Trusted that they wouldn't put a pizza in a box that looks like this. Whole thing is burnt.

It's been quite a while since we've been here. Tonight was by accident and so glad we decided to give it try. We were in town for the Night Market, except that it was last week! So we decided to go to dinner. We've done our usual Greensburg favorites for Thai and Mediterranean so tonight we went for Italian. As soon as we parked we noticed the difference. Lots of parking which was not the case years ago. Also a very nice exterior makeover caught my eye. Entering the restaurant I noticed it also had undergone an interior update since I was last there. We were greeted promptly and seated even though we had no reservation. It was around 5:15 on a Thursday. Our waitress was Sam and she could not have been nicer. She took care of us very well from the water glasses to the final bill, everything was done quickly and efficiently. Now the food...what a great menu! I had a hard time deciding but ended up ordering something I would not usually make for us at home. I had the Veal Piccata. My daughter ordered gnocchi with sausage sauce. They both were prepared very well. The veal was tender and her gnocchi were soft and plump. The entrees came with soup or side salad. I ordered my salad with dry blue cheese on the side. Had I known it already came with cheese, I would not have asked for more! The bread tray was amazing! The dipping oil was really good with a bit of Parmesan cheese shredded into it. I could have made a meal on that bread! My cocktail was on the menu billed as the "best dirty martini in Westmoreland County" so I had to order that to see if they deserved those bragging rights. It was pretty darn good, served with three hand stuffed blue cheese olives. I should have asked what brand of vodka they used...it maybe could have been better with a smoother vodka, but still one of the best around. No room for desserts, but they did sound tempting. I need to come back to explore more menu items and maybe try a dessert next time.

Food was amazing and the service was excellent! The bread and dipping oil was to die for!

It was a late dinner we were expecting the staff to be less than steller, but to our pleasant surprise, our witness was extremely accommodating and the food superb. Everything we ordered was tasty and generous in portion. We brought a dish and left overs home that was promptly devoured by family that stayed home. We will be back. Oh, the appetizers did not have a chance to get their pictures taken. We were too hungry!

We had the pleasure of having a celebration dinner with a group of friends. The decor is warm, inviting, and clean. Our server, I believe his name, was Andrew was fabulous, especially for a bigger group. All the staff we incountered was just great. Everything from the bread and oil to salads, dinner, and even the fried dough was great. It seems that one of my favorite restaurants is back to how they used to be, and I can't wait to go again.

We ask for the specials and she said there are none. Actually specials start at 4:00pm and she could have told us. We both had burgers and the option was pink or no pink. My wife stated, "I don't want it burnt." Then the server stated in a disgusted tone, "My options are pink or no pink." After our order was taken she went back to the bar and complained about us to the staff. We caught her talking about us, there were only us there besides the staff, so it was obvious that it was about us. This isn't the first time we've had issues with attitudes at this restaurant. My wife reported this to the person who was seating customers and she could have cared less. I would have gave a 0.33 if I could because the size of the meal was good.

The perfect crunch with soft melted cheese inside and dipped in marinara! the whiskey burger was tasty. Who doesn't love a big onion ring and BBQ sauce on a burger? My husband liked the steak sandwich too. Fries come with both meals; a little too soft in my opinion. Our waitress was so sweet and checked in often.

However, on a Sunday night when it is only the second place in the area that is open prior to a show at The Palace Theatre, if the aforementioned things do not bother you and you're just looking for a quick bite and a drink, then this is a place for you. From the outside, if you're not a local, it looks like one of those places you might be afraid to open the door to ... but do not be deterred. Inside it is a little dark and obviously it'll be smoky if people are smoking (thankfully they were not the night that I stopped in), but everyone was friendly. And actually they had more things on the finger food menu than I anticipated, albeit your classic bar finger foods like pepperoni rolls, provolone sticks & what I ordered-fish & chips. And honestly, the fish and chips were a lot better than I expected them to be, it was a very large piece of fried fish, and it was not too greasy and a nice side of steak fries. Their cocktail sauce was more like a Sriracha mayo type cocktail sauce, but I actually preferred that to the traditional and I got some tartar sauce on the side as well. I did feel bad for the female bartender, because she was staffing the entire place, which not only included the bar, but the tables, and it was very hard for her to keep up. Obviously management failed to realize that there was a sold out show at the theater on Sunday night and that hardly any other places were open Sunday night. I had 3 Tito's & sodas and the fish & chips & my tab was only $24. I left a generous tip because I felt bad for the bartender. I would definitely stop in again especially if I was just gonna grab a pre-show drink. Oh & the music was great too. Reminded me of a true late 70's-80's bar.

It's been quite some time since we were there and we were impressed overall by the service and food. The decor is lovely and elegant with artwork and draperies giving it a luxurious feel. It feels special just to dine there. We were seated and immediately greeted by our server who filled water glasses and gave us a few minutes to look over the menus before coming back for our drink orders. Cocktails were delicious. I had the Aperol Sunset and my daughter had the Greensburg Paloma. We ordered a few appetizers, the Zucchini Romano, which was fried zucchini with Bruschetta like toppings of tomatoes and green peppers and the Octopus Salad, which was a smoked octopus with potatoes and olives. Both were unique and different takes on standard versions I've had before. I added a Parmesan Salad to my entree of Scallops. It was a huge plate of frisée with pistachios and Parmesan cheese and was large enough to share with my husband and kids. The dressing was nice and vinegary, reminiscent of eating at my Italian relatives (Cousin Benny's) house in Cleveland. Entrees we're all very impressive to look at and wonderful to eat. As I said, I had the scallops, of which there were 8 perched atop a bed of white asparagus and spinach risotto. Yummy! My husband had the crab cakes and said they were the best he ever had. No filler, all crab. As usual, my son ordered the filet which was perfectly cooked and tender as butter. My daughter had the papperdelle in a Bolognese sauce. The pasta tasted home made and with some Mozzarella mixed in , each bite was creamy and delicious. Portion sizes were fairly generous, so much so that some of us took home doggie bags. But we still had room for dessert! We got a cannoli and shared it. Half was pistachio and half was chocolate chips. It was very large and was really good. Our server was extremely nice, cheerful and attentive. The service was quick but not rushed. We had time to enjoy our courses before the others came and the meal was quite enjoyable.
