We frequent Sunset Grille throughout the summer because we keep our boat at Victoria Marina. The restaurant on site makes it easy to stop in for drinks, appetizers, or a meal. The food has greatly improved over the years, and they now offer a variety of selections that should meet everyone's needs. My favorite meal here is the fish tacos! They are very good, but there are many other items on the menu that are great. You can't beat the views and that makes this restaurant a perfect little place to hang out after being out on the lake. Every season they reopen I see more improvements. I am hoping that over the winter months they put some money into renovating the restrooms and inside bar area. Really need to freshen that up a bit. Otherwise, this restaurant is awesome. Conveniently located by the marina, Victoria Campground, and right on Lake Allatoona. You can't beat that! Let's see, where do I begin. We made a long trip across the lake because we're in the mood for those great shrimp nachos with some type of sweet sauce. Sounds weird but it's the best nachos I've ever had. When we got there, they no longer serve those nachos. Because we had made the trip, I thought I would try their regular chicken nachos. My friend ordered steak and cheese sandwich. I went from having great nachos to not even average at best nachos. For basic beer the cost was I believe $5.20. very expensive. My friend thought his sandwich was terrible. the steak and cheese had some type of orange cheese. Whatever it was the steak and the cheese did not work for the sandwich. I believe I waitress was Candice, who is very nice... no complaints. But all of the food was subpar and both our drinks was priced way too high. Don't think we'll be making a long journey across the lake to that restaurant again. The owner needs to quit thinking about cost because that doesn't matter when the food is not very good. read more

Great for when you're shipwrecked and faced with starvation/cannibalizing weaker crew mates. Otherwise, I'd stay away. Saddest buffalo chicken sandwich my friends and I have ever seen. Service was equally as disappointing. Rum buckets were decent though. Good example of what happens when you have zero competition. read more

This place needs more stars. It's such a chill spot for a drink with friends. Sunset over the lake is beautiful. The food is traditional bar fare, nothing special. But they have cold beers, decent bar drinks and nice service. It's not the easiest to find but it's worth it if you just want somewhere casual to catch up with friends. read more

We ate there the other night the place hasn't changed much. The service is a little better, and the food about the same. Music was great but it was so load you could barely hear yourself. You would think one of few places to eat on the lake would be great, but you would've wrong. My wife's chicken taste like rubber and the boneless chicken wings would barely past as such. Thursday night they have the most annoying DJ in the world! Asks for tips after every song. :-\ even though DJ was really annoying, the food was good to view is good and the price was fair. I didn't really like the floor inside was really sticky but I guess that's to be expected for a bar. They're closing for the year in September and they open up again in May so if you don't go soon I guess you're going to miss your shot this year. It is really sad when you are a repeat costumer for years week after week then the service gets bad, I finally snapped when we had been there for 20 minutes and no menues, drink order or even eye contact. Place just opened and all the tables are dirty from the night before but the no service is a deal breaker! The " guy that seemed in charge" didn't care if we left or not! Visiting campgrounds so decided to stop in for 4:30pm meal. Typical waterfront/beach restaurant, with outside seating and noisy inside air condition seating. Seated right away for drinks but tiny kitchen so do not expect fast food. Drew did a great job taking care of us with drinks and conversation until food arrived. I used to go to this restaurant all the time with my family. I brought my friends here and they treated us horribly. We ordered our food and drinks, and sat there for 20 minutes. We asked what was going on and were told that there was an issue with our ID's and that they weren't going to serve us. (Most of us ordered drinks, and are all 21 and older). Our waiter had checked our ID's when we ordered, and said they were fine. So I'm guessing that after he checked them, he told the manager he didn't like one or two of the ID's? And then left us in the dark for 20 minutes sitting there thinking we were going to get a normal restaurant experience? We left after we figured this out. I wonder how long they would have had us sit there if we didn't ask. Hope there's a new staff next summer and I wonder if the owner knows the staff/manager is treating customers so horribly. read more

The food was way over priced for the quality and sizes. We had to wait 15 minutes in the hot sun for the waiter to even come take our drink order then another 1/2 hour to get the drinks. There were only three other tables with people when we arrived. It took over 30 minutes to get our food. Two of us ordered fried breaded chicken sandwiches, what we got was not that. Waitress said they put the chicken in flour and fry it. Well no wonder it had no breading! Without egg or something to keep the breading on the chicken it just falls off in the fryer! The chicken was rubbery and buns were hard. No discount, no offer to remake or replace it. The only reason I even gave it two stars is because our friends wings were awesome. read more

In the interest of saving you from an all out assault on your taste buds, I recommend you refrain from eating here. If you're on a boat and heading in to dock at Victoria Harbour on Lake Allatoona and are famished...do yourself a favor...keep moving and eat anywhere else. Don't be fooled by the wonderful smell in the air...it's most likely coming from people grilling in the day use park next door. I had ordered the bacon cheeseburger and fries - what I received was the "burnt" bacon cheeseburger and microwaved fries. I usually have a pretty high tolerance for bad food, but I just couldn't get past the bacon charcoal and cheese mess on my burger. It scoured the roof of my mouth. Once removed, I wasn't so sure the meat I was eating was really beef. The questionable meat was also brought into question by a friend who was also eating a burger and having an equally miserable time. Worst fries of all time...tasted like they were reheated in the microwave (you know - of the rubber-crunch variety). I'm not so sure mine weren't. Our server was very nice and she did come by and ask if everything was good. (I pray she finds a better place to wait on customers) I'm usually very liberal with my response, but in this case, I was completely honest. No manager came by, not that it would matter much in my case. We were offered a token 10% off next time we came in by our server with the discount scrawled on the back of a business card. Bathrooms are filthy, smells like pee. Service is mediocre. My husband and I ordered shrimp baskets. They were horrible. We felt like it was deep fried in salt. We asked the server to make us another one because we couldnt eat it because it was so salty. They brought another baskets which were just as salty. Also the price for the shrimp basket is $14 and you only get 6 shrimp, so in my opinion its a rip off and on top of that its 6 salty shrimp. We left them in the basket w/o eating them. Oh yeah, the fries that came with it were horrible and cold. Honestly, my theory is that they add so much salt to all their dishes in order for people to get thirsty thus order more drinks. The atmosphere of the place is trashy, with a bunch of loud drunks. The only good thing abt this place is the view when you are sitting on the patio. My wife and I went there for the first time about 4:00 on a Saturday. it was not terribly busy. There were empty tables outside and hardly anyone inside. We sat down at a table inside mainly because all the empty tables outside still had food and drinks on them from the previous customers. We sat right by the door where the waitresses went in and out so its not like they did not notice us. Not one word was spoken to us and we waited for 20 minutes. We left without ordereing anything. I can't believe people come here on purpose. The service was so horrible I thought our waitress went home. It took an hour to get our food when the table next to us got their food in 10 mins. I asked for no bun on my burger which came with one, no big, I took it off... but the cheese was not melted on the nachos, there was like 4 pieces of chicken on the nachos my niece ordered, we asked for extra guacamole which never came. We had to flag down another waiter to get water refills, AND then our waitress reappeared after over 30 mins of us not seeing her. The salad was like bag salad and the food wasn't even hot and fresh after all that. I am from out of town and was boating with relatives and thought we'd grab a bite to eat after that. Really guys? We've eaten here several times and it's always the same. SLLOOWWW service and average food. Great sunsets though. But really, how can a place be so friggin slow every time. Servers here are the hardest working in the world. Management needs to hire more. They are not stopping, but drinks,etc...the too much time this is our 2nd visit so now I consider it a pattern. The food is okay, the Frisco burger and Shrimp poboy were good but the steak and cheese sandwich had to be choked down, it was way too dry. Pizza is typical, and the mushroom burger was decent. Definitely get the Frisco burger to not be disappointed. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed but the music is consistently too loud to speak to your party. Also, the couple who sang this night had a great repertoire and singing seperately sounded good, but the pitches were off on harmonies and it drove me bonkers. This is just me having perfect pitch it didn't seem to drive anyone else batty. We will be back as they are dog friendly and the staff are nice. I will say if these singers are here next time I come, I might just have to get it to go though. :-) 2 for the singers, 3 for the food, 5 for the servers and Kayla! Friends and I went there last night (first and last time) to listen to music and have a great dinner since we were all starving. We ordered an appetizer (fried green beans - a small basket arrived for $6.99 - Green Beans!!!! Ordered a frozen drink, but they forgot to put liquor in it...asked for liquor, charged double for drink. Food was cold, skimpy and very expensive. $17.99 for steamed shrimp that was way less than a pound, $8.99 for a Reuben that was short the Swiss cheese and rye bread, the corned beef looked like something you could buy in he grocery store that comes in little bags - less than 3 pieces on the sandwich, and the walnut chicken salad ($8.99) was missing the chicken salad. It was spread on like mayonnaise and the walnuts were missing!! The customer service was less than desirable and when we told "the manager" (of 20 years old) we were very disappointed she said she was sorry (very sarcastic like) that we would never come back - she said "Fine". She told us she didn't need our attitude and that we ate half the sandwich and she would not comp it. No offering to add more chicken salad or to fix the problem in any way, shape or form. This place is awful, overpriced and extremely poor service. The music was pretty good though, but not worth going back for a second chance. No wonder there were only 8 people on the deck. If you want to be on a lake with a great sunset, rather than Sunset Grille, try Little River Grille, better food, less expensive and a great staff! The one star above was only because you are forced to rate the place....I give in "0" stars. OK - update woke up at 1:17 AM with cramps in my stomach and ended up in the restroom all night! Not pretty - can I also suggest that you don't order the fried green beans....? This place needs to be closed down....it's downright nasty! I agree with Kellie M post. This place could be a goldmine. I do have to say that it does seem better than previous years. Newer umbrellas and just a tad cleaner. We had a nice server and the food was okay. It just does not seem like anyone is in charge, no manager types around. We want to love this place please help us! Came to eat with my family this afternoon. We were referred by so many people to check the place out. Initial reaction was that is was very peaceful and in a great location, with a great view. Unfortunately, we were victims of a horrible experience. Our server was not friendly nor attentive. We ate our complete meals WITH OUT drinks and when we reminded her of them, she rolled her eyes, spun around and with a huff said i'll be back. 10 minutes later she returned with togo drinks for the table and a check and walked away. They also brought out our appetizer out with our food. I was shocked. I have been in the serving industry for nine years and could never imagine being so disrespectful to customers. My family & I don't get to see each other often and this was hoping to be a great time to visit and eat good food. Due to our servers lack of care, we did not have a good time at all. She should work on her hospitality and how to treat customers, in order to receive return visitors. Which we will not be. read more

Little River Grille is way over priced and there food suck!!! We come to Sunset Grille 1-2 times a week. Food is good and Kristen and Jasmine are great. There is another one too but don;t know here name. Little River is over-rated! I feel way more comfortable at Sunset Grille! read more
