My wife and I arranged to have a few containers, with household goods, and an outdoor bar with 4 chairs shipped from Las Vegas, Nevada to our home in Spain. Sunset Shipping assured us everything would arrive in good shape. NOT! We payed a lot of money for the shipping. Unfortunately 2 of the 4 chairs for our outdoor bar arrived bent, and damaged rendering them un-useable. As far as I know, you have Sunset Shipping, then the boat company sailing our goods over seas, handing one's goods to a different company that where-houses your goods before sending them off to another company to deliver your goods to their destination. That's at least 4 separate companies involved. Really? Is that what we have to deal with? I read the positive comments on YELP for these shipping companies. I know there is always a chance ones item will get lost, damaged, or stolen. But it sucks none the less because they got their money and I did not get what I was assured. So if your planning on having a shipping company send your stuff long distance, State to State, or Country to Country, you will be taking a chance. The insurance deductibles are at least one thousand dollars. I am curious, is there not a better way? Is there any ONE company that gets your stuff from point A to point B? THE SERVICE HERE IS UNBEATABLE! I recently went to visit my cousin in New York since he goes to school there. I hate moving and have to do it quite often. This last move from NYC to LA was going to be a nightmare. I was already living out in LA and had most of my things in a storage unit in NY. A friend recommend Sunset movers and so far it has been a dream. I could not fly back to NY to meet them so they coordinated with a friend of mine and stayed in touch with me both via phone and text. They went to my storage unit and packed up any loose items in boxes- including my paintings and bikes which they thought needed some extra padding and boxes. They labeled and numbered all the items and sent me a detailed list of everything in their truck ( its been almost a year since I've seen my belongings so I didn't even remember half the stuff that was in the storage unit.)
