I also believed I reacted in a normal way to someone who kept insisting 10 boxes, when I had the proof clearly in the email they sent me I put 20. As I said in my review, I offered to help and pay more money on the spot. Any perception of me being "hostile" was me being eager to do whatever it took to get the job done, including help. How else would anyone else who was on a time crunch act? Just sit back and take the lies? We were all adults here. I offer for anyone reading this to contact anyone I know on yelp... including my employer of 4 years and my previous employer of 17 years. They will attest what a compromising person I am and how I've bent over backward to help them, which I tried to do with these movers.

I booked my move a month in advance, I had a long discussion with the lady on the phone who knew we were moving to Long Island from Brooklyn. She told me it would be an hourly rate for a minimum of 3 hours + travel time, and "end of month fee". The movers turned up at 8.35am for a 9am appointment, they eventually came up to our apt at 9.15am. He surveyed our goods and said "ok no problem, we'll start with the boxes, i'll be right back" THE NEXT THING I GET IS A TEXT CANCELLING OUR MOVE at 9.35am! They claim our building we're uncooperative (UNTRUE ON SO MANY LEVELS) and that we were not packed... our entire apartment was packed and ready when they showed up. I had no discussion with the movers about this, they simply cancelled. Presumably because they couldn't be bothered to move on a Sunday. We had to find a last minute mover on a Sunday in July during COVID. THEY ARE THE WORST! avoid.

Then I was called the afternoon before my move and told that they suddenly had to delay pickup for 4 days and there was nothing they could do about it. We did an early morning move and they hustled throughout the day to get it done. Nothing was damaged and items that needed to be wrapped or repackaged like my artwork, they handled with care. I asked if they could reassemble my bed and wall mount two of my tvs, which they did. They were able to deal with some rules that my old building had in place. Walls didn't get damaged, floors weren't scuffed - that's so key to getting your deposit back in the old apt and really transitioning into your new place. It was an awesome move. The best I've had in New York. Highly recommended.
