I've used a bunch of moving companies in NYC and these guys are my favorite. If you go their website, you can fill out a form detailing how much stuff you have, and they will email you back with a quote within an hour or two. Prices are very fair, and worth every penny. These guys are incredibly fast, especially Noel and Eric. The last time I used them, I had to move all the way from the Bronx to Brooklyn in a HUGE snowstorm. I mean it was freezing, and slush was coming down hard! These guys showed up right on time (despite the awful weather) and within minutes had wrapped up all my big furniture and were carrying it to the van. They weaved around staircases and corners and not ONE of my things was scratched or dirty on the other side! Also, there was a couch that I thought wouldn't fit into my new place, but somehow ...and I still have no idea how ... These guys got it through the door! James and co are real pros. I just moved from Bushwick to Harlem's west end. I called Stride Movers with a 3 day notice to move on Aug. 1st and they made it problem and stress free. Everything I didn't have packed and ready to go (most things) was taken care of by them in a way that made me very happy with my decision. The drive was the longest part of the move; I think they loaded and unloaded the truck in about an hour. Their rates were solid as seen by the competitors' quotes they send you before the move. Their quote page asks you to list roughly the items you have to move and I like that because they know exactly what they're getting in to and come prepared. A worry free move. Love these guys! I was moving all my stuff few weeks ago from my storage units in NYC to Chicago. James and Noel arrived and emptied out 2 x 1000 sq ft storage units full of antique furniture, and packed and consolidated everything into one huge truck. This was from 8 am to 9pm. Then they immediately drove from NYC to Chicago and showed up at my new place the NEXT DAY. My stuff was unloaded and reassembled in my new Chicago apartment by that evening. This was a HUGE job, and they saved me a lot of money by doing it with only two men and fitting everything into one truck. I hired Stride to do a white glove pack and move from Manhattan to Long Island. Ive never hired movers but am pregnant so couldn't really do much myself. I was worried about moving during the pandemic but they were amazing! Packed all of my valuables carefully and wrapped up our larger items with blankets and shrink wrap. Not a single scuff on the walls. It was really hot but they never complained. They really went above and beyond. Woke up in one apartment and by that evening I was already in my new place. WOW!!! This was the best moving experience I've had in NYC! Not only did they show up on time (that never happens with movers), but they packed all of my belongings with extreme care and actually listened when I asked them to pack certain things together. Some of the best movers I've ever hired. They were super organized and curteous, making my entire move from the loading to unloading process a complete breeze. They were careful to wrap and secure all of my belongings so that nothing was damaged which I really appreciated. I use Stride Movers for my move from Connecticut to Queens. The guys were on time, professional, and great at their job. They wrapped up my furniture carefully and quickly, and emptied the whole apartment in an hour! When we got to Queens, they were just as quick. I live on a third floor walkup and they had no trouble maneuvering around the staircase and getting everything safely inside. I used Stride last month to move from Manhattan to New Jersey. They were amazing! They wrapped all of my furniture in blankets so nothing was harmed. I really couldn't believe how fast they moved, especially since it was incredibly hot and we had a lot of stuff. They also took apart and put together some of our items. These guys are absolutely fantastic! They were super on time and actually they came earlier so they disassembled my ikea bed also.
