They build a beautiful pool but the Haywood system they install has been trouble for me since the first few months. My pool is 2 years old and I have had three heaters and now have a broken filter pump. Warranty work and any service work is hard to get done. They are always "busy". After Summer of 2022, we knew that we needed some escape to the heat but also be able to enjoy the outdoors. His ability to take our visions on paper, and turn them into a 3D rendition was absolutely amazing! Not only did we see how the pool would look when you where right next to it, but also from within our home, from the road... all the things we didn't take into consideration! Sunshine pools also uses equipment and products to ensure you aren't spending a fortune on chemicals and maintenance. This was greatly appreciated since it was already a large expense. Upon breaking ground time, I was introduced to Doug, our Project Manager. Doug walked me through every step, and was always available for a text or call. He ensured his crew was always on time, respected our property and did nothing but the best quality work. I appreciated his tenacity for perfection, when it came to such a large investment for me and our family. Doug always made me feel like I was his top priority, and was always happy to reply to my many questions. Our pool was built start to finish in less than 6 weeks. While that is not the normal, it shows how effective Doug and his team are! Jeremy took the time to walk us through "pool school" to ensure we fully understood all the equipment and ways to ensure our future success in pool ownership. Pool Reviews I contacted Eric at Sunshine Fun Pools back on May of 2019. We own an RV park south of Navasota and we wanted to replace our above ground pool and hot tub with something nicer. I explained to Eric what I thought we wanted which was a large rectangular pool and a hot tub and we wanted to have something with a bit of a wow factor. Eric presented us with a pool plan and diagram that met every one of our expectations and gave us in fact a, "resort", pool. It's large, 32,000 gals with a 2000 gal hot tub. It has bar stools, a table with seating, tons of benches for sitting and facilities for our volleyball net. And then he added water features. Bubblers on a huge tanning ledge, waters sprayers that arc water from the pool edge. We got our contracts completed and were ready to proceed. Eric and Sunshine did everything they could, I believe to make us feel comfortable and assure us we had chosen the right pool company. Work started on December 4th of 2019. It was quick, the guys were efficient and they did show us by their attentiveness and actions that we could set back and be comfortable. After digging, the guys got the re-bar in and it really all seems a blur at how fast it came together. Sunshine plastered the pool on February 3rd and we started filling it with water. It is the most awesome pool I've ever seen and all three of the owners are so pleased with everything and with every step. I want to tell you personally and anyone that has ever embarked on a job of this magnitude will be able to identify with this statement. All through the process, before we started digging, I was concerned about what was going to happen. In that I mean, we were set to lay out a significant sum of money. I was so scared of how everything would transpire. We had done our due diligence and I was confident that we'd chosen the right company, but there is always that nagging little feeling that anything could happen. Marcus came out and designed the pool to fit our yard perfectly. The pool was built on schedule and once completed, there has been follow ups. There was a lot of information during pool school to help us learn to maintain it. The pool looks fantastic. I had a wonderful experience talking to Matt about the creation of my dream-of-a-lifetime pool. He asked what I wanted the pool for and I said swimming down into the deep end. After 30 years following my husband throughout our military life, I was finally getting my pool. We sat in the first review, how exciting to see my pool on screen for the first time. My shallow end I wanted 4.5 feet - Matt talked me into 4 - reasonable. I could do that. He showed me the deep end, I said I want more 6 foot area to swim around in. He said then you will need a sitting shelf in the deep end because swimmers may get tired (no children or grandchildren now or in our future). He said easy, and showed me how you move the slider to create more deep end. Finally, we get our plan and again, hmmm, where is the deep end? So, I take the plans back in and have three changes: move the jets to the other side like we talked about, question about the skimmers, and the picture doesn't show what we discussed about the deep end. I had measured out the pool in 4foot increments according to their plan and I explained that I was confused because this doesn't show a deep end - I want to ensure we have plenty of six foot area to swim in and I am willing to give up shallow to ensure I have deep. Matt said my guys will take care of you, the depth chart is not accurate. I got you. I now have a pool over half of which is 4.5 feet. I am only 5'2" and I can walk all the way to the sitting shelf that Matt said I would need since I wanted so much deeper of a pool. John came out and measured again. I have officially, from the drain one foot to the left, right, and back of 6' depth. Thats that deep end. On the wall. I cried for a week. Honestly, I am learning to get over it. You deal with real tragedy as a military family, this doesn't rise to the real-life that our fellow veterans live with every day. Take all your own notes and attach them as an official part of the plan. I'll write an update next week. read more

Worst service and builder ever!!! Nothing but problems from the minute they broke ground. Poor communication, never knew when someone was going to show up to work on pool or not. Never gave us plan for when certain portions were going to be completed, week by week. Then once completed, pool started losing water, had to re-dig and find leak in pipes.. it was a mess. What a nightmare! We started our pool in July 2015 and it still isn't finished! Our "upgraded" plaster turned out splotchy and had very dark stains at the bottom of the pool. After arguing back and forth with Sunshine for a few months they agreed to re-plaster the pool telling us they were doing us a favor. What favor?! Aren't they the ones who did it wrong in the first place?! After re-plastering the pool it still looks splotchy. We have not heard from the company. read more
