Am pretty OCD when it comes to my clothing for both laundering and dry cleaning; my husband is too. We trust Sunshine to get our items done right the first time. The stains are gone, the cuffs and collars are perfect; even the insides of my cuffs so I can roll them up. I like my button down shirts on shirt hangers wo all the tissue paper and that is how I get them back. The pants are properly starched, and creases or lack there of are all spot on. There is nothing like climbing between freshly laundered and ironed sheets, Sunshine does them beautifully! Their delivery and pickup is icing on the cake. Ok so I just recently picked up a suede jacket I had cleaned here at Sunshine I know prices have gone up and everything but was little shocked on the price when I picked it up because when I dropped it off I asked price to get it cleaned was quoted 80.00 I have never had a suede jacket cleaned before u figured in my head for some reason cost maybe 30 40 or even 50 at most but they said 80 OK well no choice is what it is said I could pick it up in 2 weeks which ok fine not cold yet to wear it ...but thing I was shocked by was when I picked it up price went up to over 100.00 I kept my composure lol but inside I was shocked could have bought a brand new jacket jacket had no stains to work harder to clean but I dunno my experience with Sunshine has always been good and service most part is great too and I will go back all I ask is for them to please be more accurate and more forward about the prices so other clients don't freak and get sticker shocked lol im 63 years old and guess not mentally in tune to cost of such things anyhow thank you for good services just be more on the up on prices. read more

I have used this place a couple of times and the price was ok and went in yesterday and dropped three items off way now the price have increased and i just asked for the basic dry cleaner and light starch. When I dropped my clothes to be washed and pressed, we made 2 piles with the lady that helped me. One pile was supposed to be washed and not dry cleaned. It is 2 times cheaper like this. The other pile had to be dry cleaned. When I picked it up, they dry cleaned everything, dramatically increasing what the bill should have been. Two more shirts are casualties as a result of this place. Just your basic dress shirts that I asked to be laundered. They come back with stains or no buttons. I've had them redo a few times and it's always worse than before. I've had at least 5 shirts damaged by this place now and they never tell me. They leave it for me to find. So I pick up my two items and they looked fine at the time. I finally put the bomber on and I realize the fricken zipper is missing! I was wondering why th has a clamp holding it closed, and it's because they some how broke the zipper...now I have to find a seamstress. Assholes seriously. I had just worn the top before taking it there so I know it had a zipper on it because I ZIPPED IT. Sadly I didn't realize this til a week later, so it was too late for me to go and raise hell. I took my dress here to be steamed with 24 hour turn over. There was also a small stain that I wanted to see if it could be removed safely. I got the dress back today and there are small chains at the shoulder pad that are missing---the manager said they didn't count the chains; I didn't expect them to count them but I expect them to all be intact when I pick up my dress! It's obvious a few were broken and at least 3 missing. I don't know what it is about people not taking care of other people's property but expect to get paid in full at the end of the "service" they provided. The chains were all there before I dropped it off to them on Friday, and although they said they were NOT able to get the stain out without ruining the dress---they already ruined the dress because the dress is a royal color blue and whatever they used to try and get he stain out unsuccessfully actually caused the dress around that area to look a LIGHTER COLOR blue. I expect a company like this to know what they are doing with the material they are actually working with and IF they can not remove something safely, don't try---thanks for ruining a 800 dollar dress. The biggest ripoff in Dallas. Worse than Bibbentucker's. If you want to pay $8 to have a 12x12 pillow case dry cleaned, then this is your place! Was this a special pillow case you ask? If you consider a polyester pillowcase special, then yes. They also advertise on their website that they dry clean fine linens and when I called they said they would dry clean my sheepskin pillows. When I came in store, they said they wouldn't do it! Even if they could, I'm glad I didn't because I'm sure they would have charged me $50 a pillowcase to clean the speciality ones. This place is the biggest scam I've ever seen. I literally paid $50 for no more than 8 articles of clothing. No special add ons. Growing up, my dad would lug 20-30 articles of clothing to the cleaners with him and probably still pay $50 or less. I couldn't believe it. The worst part is they don't even give you an estimate. This is an updated review to replace my 1-star. My shirts came back damaged (white shirts stained yellow) and I kinda freaked because it was literally all my best $75 work shirts and they were unwearable. It took a couple days so they could soak them and try some things but they got them white again and cleaned a couple of my old backup shirts free so I'd have something to wear while waiting. The damage was an honest mistake so while inconvenient I can't hold it against them because they made it right and were always kind along the way. I figure these kinds of hiccups happen from time to time at any business and how they handled it was the important part. That's basically the gist of it. Extremely disappointed to have received someone else's item. Upon returning the item back to the cleaners, we discovered my item was missing. Sunshine took the approach of "never admit a wrong" and insisted over and over again the garment was mine! Why would I make up a story about receiving the wrong item? I requested a call from the owner which I never received forcing me to take them to small claims court. Such a disappointment from a long standing business. I cannot believe they charge $2.50 a pound for laundry! I didn't even pay close to that in NYC. I was shocked when they charged me $65 for my laundry and get home and everything is inside out. It is just daylight robbery. I think my shock caught management's attention and they did discount it by $20 but when I asked for the justification of $64 for one laundry basket, the lady says "what is your time worth?" The staff here is so friendly. They greet you the moment you walk in the door. And, someone will carry your dry cleaning out to your car and hang it in the back seat - love that! The parking lot is so much easier to get in and out of since they moved to the new building just one block down on the opposite side of Maple. They have been in business forever and that's because they give great service.
