I Googled "best laundromat in Dallas" and ended up at Lemon Fresh Wash and Dry, a family owned business run by the fabulous Mrs. Pamela. This woman is an angel disguised as a laundromat queen. I came in to do a few loads, got distracted living my life, and completely forgot an entire load in the dryer. Didn't remember until after they closed. I called the next morning prepared to grovel, but Pamela just laughed and said, "I see them and I'm going to run them again so they aren't crunchy." Crunchy. She said that with love. And then she FOLDED THEM. Folded. Them. For. Me. Ma'am... what kind of customer service sorcery is this? When I first walked in and asked how her day was going, she said "Great! I never have a bad day." After meeting her, I fully believe this. She radiates the type of joy you can feel from across the room. If you want clean clothes and your faith in humanity restored, come here. I'm convinced Lemon Fresh isn't just a laundromat. It's a ministry. Highly recommend!

Unauthorized Alteration Charges - Warning to Customers…read more I am writing this review to warn the public about the deceptive billing and unauthorized service practices I experienced at this business. ***Below is a photo of the receipt from Knox Cleaners. The male employee marked TWO items for dry cleaning and ZERO for alterations. It also reflects the date - 08/08/2026.*** On Aug. 8, 2026, I took two garments to Knox Cleaners strictly to receive a price quote for potential alterations. The other two garments were for dry cleaning. I made my request very clear to the male employee that day and via phone on Aug. 10, 2026. On Aug. 13, 2026, Mia told me that alterations had been completed. I told her that they did so without my consent and never gave me a quote. Subsequently, Mia and her mother, Ericka, demanded full payment for the unapproved work - $20.00. Note that on Aug. 22, 2026, I was forced to pay $23.22, not $20.00 like both women originally stated. Additionally, the $15.68 that I paid for the dry cleaning was also charged to my credit card in bath faith because a few minutes after I left that place, I realized that they failed to give me the black and gold belt that I left with the black blouse that I wanted dry cleaned. Knox Cleaners may have engaged in malicious conduct by depriving me of the black and gold belt because I told Ericka that I was going to call the police and report them to the Attorney General's office. They may have done this in retaliation. Key issues with this experience follow below: No Authorization: Work was performed entirely without my signature, verbal confirmation, or consent. While I left the clothes on their counter and Ericka failed to answer the calls and texts regarding my request for a quote, that did not mean that I authorized them to proceed with alterations. See photo of receipt below. Refusal to Honor Quote Request: A request for a price estimate was treated as an immediate order. Knox Cleaners is liable because Ericka executed dishonest and deceptive practices when she said that I "left the clothes there" after previously admitting that she received the texts from the male employee on Aug. 8th. If that is that case, it follows that she intentionally failed to provide me with a quote. Their bad faith practices benefited the business when I was forced to pay them for something that they are not entitled to by law. Ericka told me that she "tried" to work with me - she contradicted herself. If she truly believed that when I left the clothes thereby authorizing alterations, she never would have allegedly contacted the owner of Knox Cleaners to see what could be done. Ultimately, I was unwilling to negotiate with them because demanding payment for unauthorized services is illegal. Unfair Billing: Under duress, I was forced to pay for services I never agreed to just to get my property back. I had to call the police, who showed up as a stand by. Scope of employment: Ericka engaged in deceptive actions when she first denied receiving a text from the male employee when I requested a quote for alterations. Her conduct falls within the scope of her employment because she communicated with me from the business phone about a disputed transaction. Likewise, the conduct of the male employee and Mia falls within the scope of their employment because I told them both that I only wanted a quote when they were both at work and on the clock. Thus, the owner is vicariously liable for the actions of its employees. Be extremely careful if you come here just to ask for a quote. Get everything in writing , or take your business to a transparent, honest, and ethical dry cleaner that upholds consumer rights, and follows proper authorization protocols. On the receipt, write that the payment is "under dispute for unauthorized services." Dispute the charge with your bank/credit card company. Next, obtain an incident report from the police. Finally, report them to the AG's Office and the BBB should something similar happen to you.

The next time I need an alteration, I WILL give Red Carpet Tailor ago! I walked into Red Carpet Tailor on Douglas Monday morning needing a simple side slit extension. The lady behind the counter was very nice. However, I am very shocked at the price tag for this alteration. Literally, extending an already existing slit in a Chef coat by 3" on each side should not cost $50.16! I could understand if I was needing same day service, but I asked to pick it up in 4 days. To add insult to injury, the coat wasn't even steamed for the price paid. Disappointed

I was staying in downtown hotel where laundry service was too pricey for my company to cover for all of my clothes. I had a suitcase full of clothes. I called feather for some same day laundry service. Sam, the owner, spoke to me and accommodated my 2 special requests. The staff were really great and had my clothes ready and folded well before my expectations. Well worth the short Uber drive over and back. I will be a repeat customer for sure. read more

NO ONE wants to be gawked at by a man pulling his torso outside of his window while driving by to get a better look at another human. I was literally just taking my dog out and minding our business. The day before, I brought in two white lab coats and a t-shirt. I told him I needed the t-shirt dry cleaned but just needed the lab coats pressed. He said no problem and they would be ready on Monday. I asked if the was any way he could have them sooner and he replied "Yes I can rush them for you, no problem." Great, I thought I really appreciate your response to my urgency. I go to pick them up the next day and the bill was $35. I asked why it was so high and he responded that (1) just pressing is the same price as dry cleaning and pressing and (2) I asked for a rush so there was a "same day" charge. I asked him why he didn't make me aware that the price was the same whether I had it cleaned or not, and he pointed to a complicated pricing matrix laminated on the counter and told me I should have read the prices. Of course I would have had them cleaned as well if I was paying the same price! Secondly, he said I asked for rush service and there was an extra charge for that (which is reasonable), however, HE DIDN'T TELL ME THAT! I believe he purposely responded to and phrased his response to my question to make me think he was extending me a favor. Never once did he mention there was an extra fee for the favor he offered. I could have asked for detailed pricing line by line before I left, sure. But I figured one dry clean and 2 irons, even if they weren't a cheap shop, it would be fine. He was belligerent and defensive and not once did he say "I'm sorry for the confusion, I should have been forthcoming with the pricing when you dropped off." I wasn't even looking for a discount, rather an acknowledgment that the way he's doing business is not forthright and definitely not a recipe for creating loyal customers. A simple "I'm sorry, you're right, I didn't mention that to you, can I give you a free rush service on your next order?" Remorse doesn't cost a thing and it fixes a lot. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this business. There are a ton of other stores in the area within a mile of this place.
