I had a suit case that needed to be unlocked thanks to the TSA for locking my suitcase--still not sure how they locked my suitcase when even I don't have the key. I called sunshine locksmith, and they were the only available locksmith that I called that could unlock my suitcase without having to break the entire thing. Just 30 minutes after calling and after I sent them a picture, Sean arrived at my place. All the other locksmiths had said they would arrive 3-4 hours later, and quoted higher prices as well. After a couple minutes of picking at the suitcase, he was able to unlock it without damaging anything, and was extremely friendly throughout the process. He gave me $10 when I mentioned finding him on Yelp, and was an all-around efficient, friendly guy and incredibly easy to talk to. I've never used a locksmith service before, and I hope I don't have to use one again. That moment when you realized you have the door slammed locked behind you is never fun. Fortunately, I had my phone in my pocket, so I quickly searched yelp (still using WIFI from my house) and found these guys at 10PM on a weeknight. They came in 15-20 minutes while I was anxiously waiting with a cigarette in my hand. A guy showed up with 2 sets of tools, he worked his magic and Voila! Within 3 minutes I was back in my place. Now, I was hitting a snag with payment options. I was short on cash and couldn't find my checkbook! I was pretty embarrassed about not being able to pay the guy who just saved my ass. Fortunately, he had SQUARE with him! Wow! They really ARE well equipped! I locked my two dogs in the car, on our way to the dog park. I kept telling them to use their thumbs, but they wouldn't listen! I called the non- emergency police, and they wouldn't help me. I called the fire department, and they were busing doing their thing at a construction fire. I waved down a patrol car, and they were unsuccessful, kindly advising me to get power locks next time, as they are easier to pop. Then, I called this place. Avi has helped me out twice now. I found his services on Yelp when I first moved to Oak about a month ago and needed my front door and balcony locks changed. I made an appointment for the Sun on which I was moving. I had to call him and reschedule for later in the day when my movers experienced delays. Avi was very accommodating and showed up on time to our changed appointment. He was very efficient in changing the locks and answering a few questions that I had and gave me two sets of keys for each door. My daughter was locked herself out of the house and we called lots of locksmith; and we chose Sunshine Locksmith. I'm a mom; and I live in San Diego, but my daughter lives in Oakland. And I was concerned about a locksmith coming so late in the night since she lives in the back it's secluded and dark back there at night. But it was something about his voice when I called and spoke with him over the phone that just kind of relaxed my nerves and made me very comfortable plus the price was reasonable. We called back and forth a few times and it was late in the morning when she finally got to her house and he met her there. My daughter was rude when she called him because she was mad and she took it out on him; and even though she was rude he still came. He didn't have to do that, didn't have to answer her call or mine, but he did. And that says a lot about his character. I apologized for her and when it was all said and done she too gave him a hug, apologized and thanked him for coming. So it all worked out. I got up this morning and found I was unable to get out of my house due to a busted deadbolt. I called Sunshine Locksmiths, got their voicemail and was debating hanging up b/c I'm terrible at leaving message when they called back. The guy that called said he could be there in an hour, followed up asking me to send a photo of the key so he could bring the proper equipment, asked me a few standard questions and then, miracle of miracles......he SHOWED UP in an HOUR!
