We rented a 4 person golf cart for the day. Great prices and friendly staff. All the carts are newer and even though they are gas, did not smell of gas and exhaust. The gas lasted all day. Great customer service, especially nice to see at a locally owner business. They have Electric cars, scooters and bikes. Bikes were in really good shape and come with two baskets and a lock. We only got the bikes for 1/2 day (4 hours) and the rate was $12 each. Convenient pick up/ drop off (not sure if any extra cost for this...?) Several Locations around Key West and they can also book other excursions for you. (Snorkeling, sunset cruises, etc) read more

Everything went fine until my husband returned the cart before 4pm and the attendant at Roosevelt' location refused to get my husband back to the hotel which is a 45 minute walk from there. He expected my husband to walk home in 100 degree weather. We had no way to get him home as he did not have a mask with him to take an Uber. Again, he was walking to try and even get a mask to call an Uber. The attendant could care less despite the fact that we just rented a cart from them for 7 days ($700). My husband is a juvenile diabetic. The influence of the sun and heat on his body was frightening! I would have never guessed that we would have seen this behavior from these folks. It was extremely cruel. We only followed the instructions and returned the cart prior to 4pm and expected to be brought back to the hotel. The anxiety and helplessness experienced by myself and my daughters was indescribable. I cannot believe the lack of compassion or kindness that was lacking in this situation. read more

Simply, a great experience. Started with a prompt pickup at the airport. All employees very friendly and helpful. The equipment is in great condition. 10 minutes from arriving at their Roosevelt Blvd. location to being on the road. Prices very competitive with other locations in Key West. Absolutely terrible customer service. I went on a scooter around the block on my training run and nearly crashed two times. Admittedly, I cannot drive a scooter.... I told them I didn't feel comfortable taking it. They swiped my credit card and told me there was no refunds. I called the owner and she was not sympathetic. Instead of making the customer happy she just made things worse by telling me I don't know what I'm talking about because I have never ran a business. I politely told her there are many businesses that offer refunds, and there are many businesses that go above and beyond to make their customers happy. Long story short, I would pick another rental company. P.S. - I disputed the charge with my credit card company and they gave me my money back. If you run into a similar situation, I would recommend disputing the charge if you purchase with a credit card. read more

This place is awesome, we rented 3 scooters with gas and insurance for the night for around $150. They also didn't tie up a huge deposit for weeks like some other companies do, and had us on the road in minutes! It was so easy and fun I have told many family members and friends already. Hubby and I were on vacation and drove from Miami to Key west. Decided to rent a scooter for the day to ride around key west. Sunshine Scooters were amazing, there was no rush to hurry and get back as the shop closed at 5pm and after hour key drop-off is there if you need it just in case you want to operate the vehicle after the shop closes, which is what we did. We were able to ride around key west and enjoy key west without the need for our car. I must say the scooter is much like a car in that you pay for parking or park in a free parking space when not operating. Would definitely recommend! read more

Like to add that my scooter only had 50 miles on it.. I rented a scooter for two days and every step of the process was outstanding. I went by the day prior to make my reservation so that I could pick up the scooter right when they opened at 9am the next day (I had a charter to catch across town). Jaime & Gaston told me the timing would work and we set everything up so that on Wednesday all I had to do was show up. Gaston was there Wednesday with the scooter cleaned, full of gas & ready to go. He asked if I had rented scooters before (I had) and gave me a quick & appropriate lesson for someone with a bit of knowledge. Originally I planned to return the scooter Thursday at closing, but I decided I wanted it another evening. I went be their Caroline street location and spoke to Christian and Marty & they told me to just keep it and have it back at 9am. Their entire staff was awesome, and the scooter ran great! read more

Sunshine Rentals were recommended to us and we couldn't have been happier. We rented a 4 person cart for a week. This business has recently been taken over by a family and the customer service was excellent! Our only glitch was that the cart we rented was electric and we had no hook up for recharging. To remedy the situation they would deliver another cart to us whenever the charge got too low. A couple of times we were in the area and just swapped ours out for another. All the people working there couldn't have been more helpful. They even hooked us up with a charter fishing boat and we had a wonderful morning trip, at a great price. Even nicer was the lift to the airport they gave us on departure day. They are situated just outside of the old town area but worth renting from.
