We have been using Pacific Panel Cleaners for over five years now and they have made sure our PV system is running as well as can be expected for it's age. The annual maintenance check includes washing and cleaning the PV system as well as independent solar water heating systems. What's great is they generate a multi page report that they mail to you which includes photos and descriptions of issues that were found and recommendations. This last inspection that was done recently, included a problem with the gateway unit which allows us and PPC to see how well the PV system is operating. It helps to pin point when components may have failed. In our case PPP was able to determine the gateway unit may have failed and they worked directly with the manufacturer and determined the unit was still under warranty. They arranged for the delivery and installed it later. After installation everything has been working fine. We have always have good service from Pacific Panel Cleaners. The team that came to our house was great, and was able install and test the new unit effectively and efficiently. A big mahalo to the PPP crew that came to help us, thank you to Doug, Nico and Connor for the great work. So if you have installed a PV system, it makes sense to keep it maintained properly to get the maximum efficiency out of it. I had solar PV panels installed to supplement my water heater system in a glorious effort to lower what was becoming an ever growing power bill. Between all of the household appliances and the increased air conditioner use to keep things cool (and sane), the power bill was going up... So it was a worthwhile investment. Many years later, I noticed that the system wasn't producing quite as much power as it once did and after noticing the panels were quite filthy with mildew and dirt build-up, it was time something was done. After doing a google and a yelp search, a shortlist was quickly produced and I gave Clean Solar Panels Hawaii a call. Dorian happened to be in the area and quickly stopped by to produce a quote that he explained what would be done and how they would safely clean the panels. The cost-effective person in me still sought out a few quotes and found his to be the most reasonable and he made me feel the most comfortable with the work that was to be done. He and his associate came at the scheduled time and quickly started going to work. They were quiet and efficient to the point I didn't even know they were walking around on the roof above my head as I worked the day away... He was even able to fix a broken part on my system that prevented it from reporting the power production a few days later. The results came in that night when I turned on my shower and found the hot water practically scalding. The water panels clearly needed a cleaning after 15-20 years... The proof came in the next power bill where it clearly was producing far more power and the electric bill went considerably down. Was it cheap to clean, no....it was a little bit of an investment, but it definitely is worth it to see your electric bill go back down. Installing bird proofing to prevent them from coming back. Despite this, the pigeons were still on my roof afterward. Because my home is two-story and my spouse and I are both over 60, we are not physically capable of climbing onto the roof to check whether the work was done properly. We relied entirely on the company's honesty and professionalism. On October 29, 2025, I texted the owner, Kale, to let him know the pigeons were still present and asked if he could come by to check the bird proofing. I even offered to pay for the visit. On November 4, 2025, Kale came out, went up on the roof, and checked his work. He told me he found one area that was not secured and said he had made the necessary repairs. Afterward, he sent me an invoice for $150 covering: inspection & labor bird spikes additional bird proofing wire a minimum travel fee I refused to pay for the inspection & labor, bird spikes, and additional proofing wire because I strongly believe those materials and proper installation should have been included in the original $2,000 job. I only paid him $50 for his travel. Unfortunately, the pigeons are still there. On June 5, 2026, I hired a different company to inspect the bird proofing because the problem continued. They recorded videos of KB Ohana's bird proofing and found two unsecured gaps that were still allowing pigeons to nest under my panels. I shared those videos with Kale at his request. When presented with the video and given a chance to respond, the owner stopped communicating altogether. On June 10, 2026, I followed up with Kale asking for a response to my concerns and my request. I have not received any reply from Kale or anyone at KB Ohana since then. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend KB Ohana. I feel I paid a premium price for work that was not done thoroughly and for follow-up service and communication that were completely inadequate.

We came back to our yard smelling like we were covering up a bloody massacre. The smell of bleach was everywhere. It wasn't the fact that bleach was used on the roof that bothered me but the concentration. I use 10% bleach everyday at work so I know what it smells like. This smelled like at least 30%. It was so strong it left bleach marks on the concrete. In fact my mom put a wet towel on one of our walls and it ended up with bleach stains. The workers didn't cover anything so my dad's t-shirt that was in a bucket in the sink outside was ruined as was my mom's washing machine cover. I shutter to think how the runoff that went into the storm drain will affect the bay. Envirowash sounds like an environmentally friendly company but I wonder if it is as the smell of bleach is sickening. Will never use them again!
