I was really upset as I switched jobs and and lost my previous dental insurance and my former dentist doesn't accept Delta. Who doesn't accept Delta?!? But I digress, this prompted me to find a new dentist and I'm lucky to have found Dr. Navas and his amazing and kind staff. Dr. Navas not only gave me a checkup and a cleaning, he took the time to explain his observations from my first set of X-rays and let me know hat my teeth re in excellent shape! In addition to being a Dentitst he also taught dentistry at a local dental school, so you know he know what he's talking about. Dr. Navas has a great and welcoming personality and makes what can usually be an unwanted and uncomfortable experience into a positive one. My next visit is in 6 months and I'm not dreading it like I normally would. I feel like I've come across dentists who do unnecessary work to nickel and dime patients and their insurance, I really believe Dr. Navas is an honest actor and does what's in the best interest of his patients. read more

First visit with Dr. Navas and his staff could not have gone any better. I was met by Lei at the front door, as she was following all Covid safety protocols and was very grateful for her knowledge & positive personality. I've gone to SunWest Dental for years, and they always seemed to be really good. However a few months back I scheduled an appointment due to a cracked tooth, and the dentist simply took X-rays and sent me on my way...without even a cleaning. Note: The dentist said he wanted me to receive a full-cost assessment before any work was done. Then after a couple weeks I called to schedule an appointment, and no one would answer the phone. So then I went to the office in person to schedule an appointment and the doors were locked...even though the office hours stated that the office was open. After weeks of trying to get an appointment, I finally had a chance to talk to the receptionist/office manager/wife of the dentist, and she scheduled me for an appointment. After several weeks my appointment date arrives and the dentist calls me (personally) and cancels the appointment due a personal scheduling conflict. The SunWest Dental group has gone from exceptional to exceptionally flaky in just a matter of a few years. Personally I find this group and their standard of practice unacceptable and quite disappointing! read more

I felt very comfortable with Sunwest Dental Group. I have a fear of going to the dentist since I was a kid. I got traumatized with the dentist tools and equipments. Dr. Navas is very nice and makes you feel comfortable. He is a very good dentist and he also does anesthesia cases. Highly recommended and high praises to the other dentists and staff as well. Love this clinic. Very accommodating and recognizes when you need a specialist and refer you accordingly (they even called for me so I can be seen immediately). I was looking forward to having all my family's dental work done here. However, the Office Manager Lei, was the rudest person I've ever dealt with in ANY type of business. But, especially a dental office. Terrible bedside manner & all around terrible manners. I definitely will not be spending thousands of my cash there. I've always been so terrified of dentists. Each dentist I've been to, I've had to go to other dentists to have what the previous dentists done fixed. So I stopped going after a root canal gone bad. My sister told me about Dr. Navas and told me to contact his front desk manager Lei. As soon I spoke with Lei and made my 1st appointment I was please and felt so comfortable. They really took the time to explain to me what was happening and going to happen. They made sure I was comfortable at all times. I am deathly scared of dentist. Lei was first so helpful getting me in. I have not gone in years and was in pain. I knew it was something major. When I got there she was so pleasant and helped me stay calm. When I went to get X-rays done the assistant was excellent. Dr Navas was the best. He was very calming and reassuring. He talked with me and did not rush. I have to go back to do a more work I knew it was going to be a process. They were great at getting appointment in a timely matter . I am having my whole Family now go here. Lei was the best most understanding manger. She understood where I was coming from and let the staff know before I got there how I was scared. I'm terrified of the dentist and so i hadn't gone in over 4-5 years. My boyfriend and his entire family go here and they all talked about how great this location was. A few weeks ago i had an infection and knew i needed a root canal so i decided to give them a try and it was the best decision ever. Lei in the front desk is so sweet and makes everything so easy for you. I wanted to be put to sleep because of how i panic and they had no problem doing it for me. They keep dragging on appointments and take loooooooooooooong time to see you, even with appointment. The doctor went for a surgery and they did not tell me ahead of time. So irresponsible! kept me hanging..and bouncing me from one doctor to another - I had to keep calling them to see whats next. Cheesy receptionist. I did not trust the doctors efficiency either...my mom got ulcer in her mouth because of the doctor's inability to detect the issue on time, considering she was diabetes. Dr. Carol Paco is an awesome dentist. I only trust her with my teeth. Not only is she great maneuvering around my mouth, but she is super friendly and has an honest opinion about what work you need to have done immediately and what work can wait for another visit. Also the supporting dental staff is also really friendly. The environment certainly feels very homey. The waiting room is more like a cozie foyer!
