I've not been here for a while, but this mild Saturday found me craving shrimp tacos. (Most days find me there, but I digress...) 6 pm on Father's Day eve, it wasn't too crowded. I think there's a sports ball thing going on somewhere, too. One person ahead of me and I gave the nice lady my order. The tacos came out pretty quickly, followed by the beer, cool and frothy from the tap. As I've mentioned before, there is a nice adult contemporary soundtrack that is neither background or overpowering. It just hits, and you can chat over it if you want. Or sing along. After a nice bike ride, I stopped in and ordered their three shrimp tacos. I've had them before, but they seemed even more amazing than past visits. Were the shrimp larger? Were there more of them? (4 per taco seems about right!) It was such a lot of food (added to the hazy IPA) that I had to take the last one to go. It may last the night. Or it may be breakfast. Back in NC for a visit and headed to THBB for our fist meal. Sat outside and enjoyed perhaps the best grilled chicken sandwich (on naan) that I've ever had - and I've had some delicious ones here. And the staff is super attentive and friendly to everyone in the place. They have a new-to-me slogan - don't yelp, we're here to help - which I think is fantastic because it's all about giving people the opportunity to make things right, not bitching on social media. Definitely nothing to complain about tonight. This place is great. And I love their celebration of minds of all kinds. read more

Went here for lunch the other day. There's easy parking located nearby. The ordering went quick but also the person we gave our orders to seemed not very attentive and ended up charging us for fries that we didn't want. I ordered the California burger which was just ok. Overcooked and not very flavorful along with the onion rings which were fine. My wife got the chopped salad with chicken tenders on top which she felt was not very flavorful either but at least it was a good portion. The price creep for two people eating lunch at a burger place being over $50 is crazy. The ambiance was a bit chaotic since there's tv's all over the place and constant sports on which makes it a bit hard to talk to your partner. Overall an aggressively fine experience bordering on forgettable read more

Good burger salads. Yes it's a thing. I generally get either a red burger patty on my Caesar or a medium salmon, both good, depends on your mood. If you go for the salad, make sure you ask for the patty, and not the chopped up burger.... Sometimes, but it's dry. They don't do that to the salmon. Generally have a good beer selection, but last time it was a little thin. I like west coast, she likes hazy, and they only had one of each. Luckily they were both good. The device is always good, and they have primary wait staff in the bar area, but lots of food runners so nothing comes out cold. Nice place to watch a football game with lots of tv's and good lighting. Get there early on game day. FYI the wings are definitely top 5 in the area. read more

What a great spot for a great burger...and more. I went with their Cowboy Burger, with onion straws, smoked bacon, BBQ sauce, and fried jalapeños (I had them hold the cheddar). It was so tasty and hit all the right notes! We also had a basket of onion straws as a side dish, they were that good. For beer, I had two of the Town Hall Ambers. Went to Town Hall Burger and Beer for the first time for lunch and had a wonderful time! Was a casual spot with a great selection of burgers, sandwiches, tacos and salads + beer too. Food is ordered at the counter and brought to the table. Bonus for pet families that they have dog-friendly outdoor patio seating, which we enjoyed. Plenty of lot-parking available. Servers were kind and food came out fast. Everything was reasonably priced. We tried the Carolina burger and Cowboy burger. The patties used were juicy, flavorful and perfectly cooked with a touch of pink. The Carolina burger included chili, cheese and coleslaw which in hindsight is just a difficult combination to make without leading to a soggy bun. The flavors themselves were great but the texture was a bit too mushy and messy by the end for me. The Cowboy burger came on a toasted brioche bun. The onion straws on the burger were crispy, and provided a nice textural contrast. Between the bacon, BBQ sauce and the jalapeños, there was an incredible balance of salty, sweet and heat - everything I could want in a burger. The burgers don't come with fries, so we added an order as a side. For $6, the portion of fries was perfect to share and we still had leftovers after splitting between 2 people. They were delicious - crisp on the outside and well-seasoned. Though I wouldn't get the Carolina burger again, I think that was a matter of not vibing with the choice of toppings. I would definitely go back to get their Cowboy burger again and/or try their other burger options! read more

Grabbed lunch here recently and enjoyed it! Parking was pretty easy to find since there were open spots right outside. Intriguingly, there are two separate halves in the restaurant. In one half, you can order your food directly from the cashier, while in the other half you can get table service. I actually really liked this because with young kids, you want to be as efficient as possible :) So we ended up ordering directly from the cashier and paying up-front. The food was delivered quickly, and other than them forgetting some ranch dressing, everything was perfect. My wife and I both got cheeseburgers (with 8 oz patties) and they were very tasty! Notably, the burgers do not come with any sides, so we ordered a separate basket of fries to share. They were also very good. Finally, my 3 year old really enjoyed his chicken tenders (and I liked them too - they weren't overly fried, which was a big plus for me) and his fruit cup. Overall, I would definitely come back here! I didn't get a chance to sample the beer but I know they have a whole bunch of different brews on tap, so that'll be pretty tempting next time :) read more

Honestly the best burger and wings I've had in the area! With "special burgers" anywhere there is always the concern of toppings falling off or burgers looking like they were just thrown together but this was not the case here. The Armando was so delicious and the RJ wings were a great pair for them. Thought the portion and size were very fair for what we paid! THBB for a quick bite and cool beverage. Was in the mood for a bacon burger and onion rings. The burger was cooked well and the bacon thick. The Philly Cheese steak was decent and flavorful. Visiting Durham and daughter and she likes this place and since I like burgers she suggested to go. Plenty of parking including a side lot. Large outdoor space and outdoor seating and inside too. You walk in and go to the cashier to place order...menu options pretty good and also gluten free bun option for extra $3 Me and my daughter both ordered the perfect burger 8oz. And a basket of fries and a gluten free bun on one. $35 is a little pricy for a burger but burger is grilled and cooked how you want it and was really good. I asked for Mayo to be added but found out they do not dress the bun and you get a Mayo packet and ketchup and mustard are on the table so you actually add and complete burger once it is brought out to you. Which is pretty good so you can add the amount of each condiments you want.. Service was friendly and didn't take long. Burger tasted really good and good size. Fries were really good also. Very rude bartender, I sat at the bar with the intention of ordering a beer and instead found myself in an argument. My wife ended up putting in our order to - go which I honestly wish she hadn't done based on the service. If the food had been better I might consider revisiting, maybe the bartender was just having a bad day and worth forgiving, but the food was nothing special and honestly very over priced for what it is. You can get a better, less expensive burger at 5 guys even and Durham has a plethora of excellent burger joints. This isn't one of them. Great local burger joint to hang out either inside or outside. Place is good for larger groups or even if you want a casual date night it's a chill spot. The servers the last few times have been very nice to deal with and the food has come out at a reasonable amount of time. Good selection of beer both bottle and draft. Found this place on Yelp and glad we did! Lots of different areas to sit and we choose the bar area. They have a nice outdoor patio space too. We ordered beforehand but you can also order at the bar tables. Beer menu is really extensive and something for every palate. Greek salad was fresh and big - dressing was fantastic! Our kid's grilled cheese and fries looked great (he was a fan) and plentiful. The Townhall burger was delicious! Meat patty was great and I shared it because it was big! The Truffle Parmesan Fries were also really good too. Only "Meh" was that we took the Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding to go and it was meh! Very generous portion but way too sweet. Stopped by for dinner before a movie and was not disappointed. Plenty of delicious burger, chicken and fish options to choose from. We went with the California Burger and the Patty Melt and a side of fries. (Forgot to take a picture of the California burger lol) The patty melt was awesome. Grilled onions, burger patty cooked to order, thick cut rye bread. O definitely recommend! The California Burger had pico, guac, bacon, lettuce chipotle Mayo was really good as well. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu! Staff were super friendly. The girl who took our order came around and wiped empty tables. Always asked if we needed anything. She was a super star. I loved they had half the restaurant an order counter / Togo area with seating and half the place and a full service side with the bar on the other So you can be waited on. Super efficient. It's an 8 oz burger topped with smoked applewood bacon, BBQ sauce (which is made in house) that has a bit of a sweet chilisauce flavor (and not like the kind you put on a hot dog or burger), onion straws, smoked gouda cheese, and lettuce on a brioche bun. Had a great experience at this spot. I loved that you could choose between the self-serve and waited dine-in areas. We had the perfect burger and Sriracha Thai Chili wings with a side of fries. The burger was simple and juicy, exactly the classic burger we were craving for dinner. It was also a big plus that it was only $10. The menu has a lot of different specialty burger options which all sounded amazing, I will definitely be back to try them next time. I was really surprised by the wings. They were really juicy and so flavorful. It was the perfect blend of sweet and spice, and the flavor of the sauce was actually so enjoyable. Plenty of outside seating if you choose. They also have a high tables in the bar area and also just regular seating away from the bar. I'd say this place is very kid friendly and for the pups with outside seating. The menu has plenty of options. I chose the cowboy burger and truffle fries. They cook the burger to order and they ask you how you want. The truffle fries were okay. Prob try something else next time. My waitress was beyond awesomeness! Great food and fast service! I was in town for a concert and needed some good food fast. THB&B came through in a big way. The chicken sandwich was HUGE and full of deliciousness like sautéed onions and, dill and feta spread. They had waffle sweet potato fries which were great. I have to go back here and dine in next time I'm in Durham. The staff had our order ready at the time quoted (15 minutes). They even offer gluten-free buns. The Montreal steak burger is soooooo good! I use Montreal steak seasoning on my steaks at home, so I knew it had to have a good flavor at the least! They ask you 3 different temps, red, pink or no pink. I chose the pink, I should've gone with no pink. It was cooked borderline rare/medium rare, and for a burger, that's too pink for me. The fries did NOT taste like truffle but were still tasty. I ordered the burger medium; initially, it came out well done, I brought it to their attention, got it redone actually medium. It was deliciously juicy! (No hate but idk how one eats burgers less than medium). I didn't even finish everything, it was a decent amount of food. Great outdoor seating area. Indoor is big as well. Great selection of beers on tap and imaginative burger variations. We rarely have fried foods but my party wanted to try the fired mac & cheese. We were expecting nuggets but it came as two burger patty looking things. There were surprisingly good. We each had different burgers and all liked them.
