He was the first (and ended up being the only) person to respond; I'm actually glad no one else responded to the project we had because Darryl has been so awesome to work with! He is honest, determined, creative with solutions, a great communicator and has a fantastic work ethic. He always kept detailed logs of work performed, going as far as to provide both pictures and video as well as performing a 2-hour test to ensure the solution he had in mind would work. Absolutely outstanding on communication (which is a quality I find that many people). Not only did he do a stellar job and have great solutions for our issue, but he also kept us informed if he noticed other issues around the house that may need attention (overhanging trees, rocks in the yard, loose pipe straps, motion lights not activating). He went above and beyond, even offering to mow the lawn for us because he knew we were strapped for time. He also cleaned my weather strips that were sticking onto the garage door and probably adding additional stress on the section that pulls the garage up. The garage door was about fall apart and Island Repair Services was able to fix it pretty quickly. The cost was significantly lower than using a garage door service repair and it works perfectly now. His total lack of professionalism and lack of a quality job, he was very very slow moving, arriving, his total demeanor was lame and lazy. When reported (and sent pics) to owner, owner did not even apologize for our time wasted, showing up late or the terrible job. As a vacation rental owner, were initially impressed with their sales pitch. Jason promised that as…read morelong as we provided pictures with explicit details, they would use a binder, prepared specifically for our property to go room by room and leave the property exactly the way we asked, to include any details that we wanted like watering our plants and checking the internet service each time as a final check. None of this ever never happened and we had to constantly remind them to do things the way that we had asked. There was one instance where the cleaning and staging were so bad, that we had to bring in a 2nd cleaner who worked alongside me to set things up the correct way, all within a very short window between guests. I eventually discovered that "VacayClean" does not actually do any of the work. They only subcontract other cleaners from other cleaning companies to come in and do the work for them! This realization explained why it was actually "MaidinOahu" doing the work when we called. "MaidnOahu" gave us a very professional response and a full refund for this day, which we were thoroughly pleased with. We agreed to continue to work with them after they agreed that they had not held up their end of the deal. Then, when we contacted VacayClean to book the next quarter's cleanings, we were told that they had no availability. We felt that this was obvious retaliation since their subcontracted cleaners had eaten the costs, leaving us without a vetted cleaning service for our upcoming bookings. This was perhaps the most unprofessional aspect of this entire experience. Overall, the first couple of cleanings were good, but none of the stagings that we had agreed upon were. Eventually, and with constant coaching, they came closer to the standard that they themselves had promised, but it was still nothing like the quality and reliability we had been promised by an extremely convincing sales pitch. Summary: There are an infinite number of good cleaning services in Waikiki. VacayClean is not one of these services since they are a cleaning service booking agency. We did not receive the services promised. I do not understand any of these 5 star comments, perhaps they are employees or friends since this was absolutely not the same experience that we had.

We have used their deep cleaning and recurring services twice so far for a 4bdrm/2bthrm home, and already have booked again for upcoming cleanings. Jason is extremely responsive, and he even made suggestions on what home items we could use to save on costs in the long run, e.g. sturdy stone bath "rugs" that we can replace our white cotton ones with since ours get frayed and require constant cleaning, Citrus Magic Fallon showed us areas of the house that the last cleaner completely missed, e.g. parts of the stove under the burner grate, around the stove knobs, etc, and it was lovely to converse with them to learn some of their cleaning secrets/products. They are easy to work with and so far other reviews echo the same sentiments. We learned that they also do outdoor power washing services for the outside of the home, which we plan to do sometime soon. They can even do some outdoor cleaning if we need those services. Very happy with them, 5 stars for sure and would recommend to anyone else that needs cleaning!
