Gotta drop some stars for Conner the evening manager in a delightful purple tie. What a boss! Gettin' it DONE for his customers! I do, however, still need to throw some shade on that meat department. Just what the heck is going on in there?? I don't think standards are being met. The ground "beef" is, in fact, ground EVERYTHAAAANG, with little to no accuracy in labeling the fat % let alone the TYPE OF ANIMAL, which is kind of a big deal for those of us THAT EAT KOSHER or HALAL, and those of us with a damn sense of taste and value, for that matter! I went to the Kalispell Super1 the other night just to compare. Their ground beef is a rich red color, not anything like the crud they're selling at Whitefish now. And the meat department overall is just not so well kept anymore. And God help you if you happen by while they are cleaning, because you will get hit with a cloud of meaty cleaner solution steam, and the stoned teenager behind the counter DOES NOT care, which seems to be a sentiment from top to bottom in that department. Super one is OK. The employees are usually nice. What drives me crazy is they have two sections for multiple items. They have an organic section but everything in it is not organic. Organic cream can be found in two places so if one is empty you have to walk to the other side of the store to find the other kind they have. The organic section has lots of eggs that are not . I usually don't shop there because I have to wander around to find everything. They should just integrate the organic section (that is not all organic) into the rest of the store. read more

This has became my favorite grocery store in the country because of the selection, and the generous organic section, but the aspect that keeps me coming back more than anything- the cheap, but delicious and sometimes nutritious food from the deli. Also the Cravens bulk coffee-consistently the best beans I've brewed. Folks are always super friendly too at all the Super One's in the Flat Vallet. read more

I never thought I'd take the time to review a grocery store, however, I have to for super one. The shopper service is absolutely phenomenal, you will get personal texts if they are out of products you order to verify the substitutions, it is so convenient. The bakery is absolutely top notch, we have used them on many occasions and you absolutely can not beat the quality and price for the custom cakes you will receive, Angela is simply the best!!! read more

I have loved coming to super one foods, but my last visit was a little uncomfortable for me. The bakery is great, and overall most the employees are great, but had an experience with one of the employees who took it upon themselves to open up one of my donut bags to make sure I had the right amount in there which I did, and they watched me the whole time as I was always checking out, this made me very uncomfortable and when I realized it took card for self check out, I had to run out to my car to grab my card and the employee continued to watch me as I walked out to my car. I don't understand what was going through their mind, but made a very bad experience for me and probably will not come back to this location. I don't appreciate when they handle my food without asking and opening up things that I already bagged. read more

Moving to Montana you don't have as many choices when it comes to shopping. For us to shop at a large market we have to travel 45 miles to get decent prices and Super 1 is my favorite market in this area. They always have a well stocked and large selection in the produce area. Their meat department is very large too although I've never bought any yet due to getting our meat from a local farmer. Big frozen foods, dairy and their bakery/deli is very nice and they always run some nice sales. The check out is always short lines and friendly checkers. I'll always do my regular grocery shopping at Super 1 because the prices are fair and carry everything I've needed so far. read more

Super 1 Foods in Whitefish is, in most cases, is my one and only stop to the supermarket. First, the staff is pretty great, not to be mistaken for 'pretty ok'. I like that not every employee greets me with a great big artificial smile and hello. Those that do come my way are genuine and I appreciate that. It appears that management gently encourages it, but does not mandate it. Second, the produce team is consistently putting out fresh products. Living in this part of the country makes having access to readily available, high quality produce a challenge, but this team comes through more often than not. They can always take it up notch or two; however, compared to the alternatives, I keep coming back. They have a regular and organic section. Each section can stand on its own with a wide variety of options that are cycling through. From time to time Super 1 brings in special product. Right now they have the Sumo Citrus in stock which can be a bit pricy, but is really very tasty and worth a few in my book. Higher end cooking ingredients can also be found such as crimini and shitake mushrooms, to mention a few. The store isles are well laid out and easy to navigate. Even when some clueless driver parks there cart smack dab in the middle. The wine and beer selection is also pretty nice with a wide variety of options. Once per year they host a 20% (pretty sure) off sale on most wine and beer. The Deli team also has a pretty nice selection of cheeses, spread, breads, and meats. Overall it is by no means a high end organic grocery such as Whole Foods or Trader Joe's, but they are not trying for that. For your everyday grocery who you can count on, this is your place. Great people, great teamwork, and results that speak for themselves. Keep climbing Super 1. read more

I usually shop at Safeway. I come in here every once in a while. They have a better wine selection and beer selection than Safeway but I just don't like the store as much. Maybe because it's older inside. I was in there yesterday and although they have a good assortment of most food items I will continue to shop at Safeway. read more

Buyer BEWARE VERY RUDE PEOPLE WORK in the deli section at super 1 foods in whitefish mt. I am a middle class worker, living in whitefish mt. I spend alot of money there with gas prices at an all time high I like to shop near home. I bought at the store a ham, took it to the deli to be sliced and the manager a blond almost grown up was rude and refused to slice for me. I then asked her to slice ham from her deli which she did, and before I got out of the store I could smell the rot. This store is rude and obviously not up to health code in the deli. This is the best grocery store ever...true story. The man in the produce department is extremely sweet and always give my kids a peice of fruit and that honestly makes my whole shopping trip so much better, just to have my children happy and occupied. This alone is enough for me to recommend the store, but beyond that, they have a great selection, clean store, low prices and HAPPY and HELPFUL employees who remember me and are very kind. I'll never go to Safeway across the street again due to the dirty environment and rude employees but Super One in Whitefish is clean, everyone who works here is nice and knowledgeable. Once, an item I was really looking forward to did not make it into my bag, and I came back a few hours later and they let me just grab another one off of the self, no questions asked. They are great and seem to care and that makes every grocery run a smooth and enjoyable experience. Oh, and the attached pharmacy can not be beat either!! read more
