I went a few days ago, I showed the guy with a beard a picture of how I wanted my hair, simple just textured crop, well he did what he wanted, the whole time he was facing me to the Tv, so I couldn't see how he was doing my cut, and I had a bad feeling, but wanted to trust him as I thought he was "professional", but no! He almost let me bald! He didn't even texturized it! How hard it is to follow a picture? And the only solution was " just wait until your hair grows again" :) I know!!!! But my hair is now a messed! I came in as a walk-in and was seated with Juan right away. He was extremely professional and patient while I tried to explain what I wanted. He listened, asked questions, and nailed the taper fade with incredible attention to detail. Hair and beard lineup was only $30, which is an amazing price for the quality. I was so impressed I came back later the same day with my partner. He was also a walk-in, got helped quickly, and left looking clean-cut and sharp. Great service, great value, and great people. Just came here hoping I'd get my hair cut here for the second time. First time I came the owner cut my hair and even though he had something to do he still took me in to cut my hair. Google says they close at 3:00 it was 2:28 when I walked in and was told they were closed. I've been to many barbershops and not once was I sent away even after showing up 15 minutes before closing. Honestly will be taking my business elsewhere. I forgot to ask the name of the guy who cut my hair, but it was a bigger dude. He did a good job. Haircut was $25. I got a drop fade with a scissor trim on top. The inside of the shop was clean. There were plastic dividers in between seats. Everyone wore a mask. There was a t.v playing "Pulp Fiction." I came as a walk-in. I was out in less than an hour and a half. I went midday Saturday. The one negative is the parking. The shop is next to a mechanic shop, so there's cars taking up spots. I parked on the street about a block away. I'll come back again for a haircut. read more

This crew is the best I've ever seen in the business and the shop definitely has the "old school" barber shop vibe going on. I'm handicapped in a wheelchair, and these folks go way out of their way to accommodate my needs. Took my son for an emergency haircut, he is starting school in a couple days and it's my only day off to take him get his cut. I was glad this place open on Sundays, his regular barber spot closes on Sundays . They had full house busy but there were 5 barbers, didn't had to wait long. $25 for hair cut, parking lot is small but you can find a spot of the street. My kid liked his hair cut. I have been coming to this place for many years, unfortunately the new barbers are trash! They pick and choose whose car they want to cut and don't care about the rest of their customers. I walked it at 12 pm, today they close at 3 pm, and at 2:55 they informed me they could not do my hair because they were done! Some people walked in after me and got their haircut. I've tried a lot of barber shops in the El Monte area and nothing really beats this spot. Their barbers know how to fix up your hair as you request. I probably been coming here for about three or four years now and only had one bad experience with a haircut, but as soon as I let the owner Juan know about it, he took care of it and fixed up my hair for no charge. It shows a lot in terms of their customer service. You should always get what you pay for in services like these. Like any other barber shop, it's always busy on the weekends. Try going early or setting up appointments. You would have to park in the street since they don't have a dedicated parking spot. Their little driveway would probably hold two cars at best. A solid barber shop, the best I have been to. They are clean, very professional, you can switch around the barbers knowing that everyone is great. Very friendly, funny atmostphere, small talk and laugh between the barbers always make the experience less boring. I was recommended to this place by a friend, and was told to go to Henry. I did and like how he does his cuts like he knows how to cut hair really well. I have been coming here since then because the old place that I used to go to would cut really fast not taking the time for a hair cut and I would have to wait a long time over there. With Super 5, I would walk in and get greeted by the boss or other workers and I would sit down and wait about 2-5 min when no one is there but 10-15 when it is a little busy which is awesome. One of the barbers Henry has been cutting my hair for years. He is definitely a character and will make your experience here a good one.

Came here some time back. They are good at cutting straight and really perfect hair. But for short hair only. I asked just cut the side shorts and trim top a little. I ended up almost bald with a chunk of hair on top. That was my last cut with the owner. The first time I came here. Some guy who seemed inexperienced. Kept saying how good he was while cutting my hair and ended up leaving me with bites and stuff he seemed high too bloodshot red eyes and smelled like alcohol. read more
