Outstanding staff! Friendly, professional, hard working, and courteous! Our check in and out went flawlessly. Breakfast was hot and delicious! Rooms were quiet, for a family hotel. The pool and hot tub are working but are VERY small, which can lead to being crowded--instead of peaceful, relaxing after a long day on the road. Rooms were clean. Beds were VERY hard, even for those in our group who like hard mattresses! We had trouble getting hot water (to take a bath) during non-peak hours/late at night. Then, had trouble getting cold water (the next morning) at the sink. The parking lot entrance is difficult to locate, can also be confusing, and a challenge to maneuver. So, the PEOPLE were wonderful! But the facility needs some attention to it, in order to get a strong, returning clientele. read more

This was home for one night. Probably one of the better if not the best choice to stay at for our trip. Attentive front office staff. Rooms were ready when we arrived and they allow dogs. A big dog. Free bfast. Indoor heated pool. In the middle of downtown and about 5-10 to our destination. Awesome! Although you might know this already-walls are so thin that you can hear almost everything :) AC. Yes they have it. But oh boy! It was loud! But eventually I fell asleep. The bed wasn't so so bad. A bed is just a bed really when I'm not home. When we arrived the front desk person was the very friendly staff. After being in my room 35 minutes the door was open housekeeping didn't know the room was Booked for the night. Not the best, not the worst. Supposedly updated rooms, but actually only update was the flooring. Employees were pleasant and felt safe.

Don't stay here if you want a clean room. We got into our beds and found sand in them. Apparently they had not changed the bedding from the previous customer. Great way to get COVID. Floors were filthy (picture attached). An almost empty roll of tp in bathroom. They did change the sheets for us after being informed of the issue. Girl at front desk was very pleasant and polite. $250 for this was ridiculous. I had no choice because of schedule but I will never stay at a Super 8 after this experience. Upon arriving, I was immediately told that the room I chose specifically was not pet friendly. Which was NOT stated on the listing. Got moved to a regular room. And the owner is rude. Checked into my room at 11:45 pm. Lobby host was great and spoke about the local attractions. The hotel is nice for a Super 8. Rooms are renovated and consist of tile floor, different, but I'm okay with it. The TV is smaller compared to most other places I have stayed. Overall, not bad. read more

I will say it...I would not normally stay at a Super 8! We were traveling through Alamosa and had originally booked the Best Western. When we showed up at the BW we were NOT pleased to say the least as they clearly did not clean "covid style". The doors were absolutely disgusting and we found pubic hair in our shower. After some scrambling we ended up booking 2 rooms in the Super 8. Wow! The rooms were recently remodeled and smelled like the sweet smell of Clorox (that means so much to me these days). Having hotel rooms with tile and wood is so important, carpet is so disgusting! The lady who worked the front desk that night was so friendly and welcoming and she gave our dogs treats the next morning. You absolutely have our business the next time we travel through Alamosa! read more

One of the nicer Super 8s I have ever stayed in. Spent two nights here while in town to do a trial. Very friendly staff who bent over backwards to help us (my wife & I). Asked for more pillows and blankets and got them in under 3 minutes. I think the window to my room (107) needed to be replaced or resealed, as the room got pretty cold any time the heater was off. The fact that it got to -10F both nights probably didn't help. All in all, a very good stay. Will definitely be my first choice for a business stop in Alamosa. read more

Surprisingly nice hotel for a Super 8. Room is clean, comfortable, and quiet. The king bed room has enough space for 2 person. The front desk staff was pleasant. This hotel is right across the street from City Market. Burger King and McDonalds is also right next to it. Hotel includes free breakfast, wifi, and parking. I would stay here again should I come back to visit Sand Dunes national park. This Super 8 is definitely an upgrade from your typical motel quality places. read more

We just had to check out of our room and get our money back because the bedding was so filthy, pretty sure there were bedbugs, tons of black oval looking particles on the sheet along with blood stains and hair. Zoom in on the photo and you can see what I'm talking about. The little bit we were at the hotel we figured out quickly it was a locals hotel that seem to have long term stays? Loud and busy. We went down the road to the Holiday Inn Express and it is 100 times nicer! Spend a little more money and stay at the Holiday Inn Express. read more

We booked this place online because it seemed like a decent place to stay the night while traveling. However it was horrible. The toilet was handle was non functional and the lid had to be lifted to flush the toilet. Once you lifted the lid the toilet was full of mold. I wasn't expecting a 5 star hotel but I was expecting a fully functioning toilet. The night front desk associate was really great and tried to help as much as she could, but unfortunately they were full and had no other rooms to switch. I spoke with the owner in the morning when he came in and unfortunately he was less then helpful or remorseful. He seemed to be more annoyed that he was having to deal with our issues. He offered a small discount but still paying $100 for a room without a fully functioning toilet is not acceptable. From what I gathered the more is under new ownership and has gone downhill since which is why the reviews were great they were under the previous owners. read more

Bed bug infestation. Stayed one night on 11/3/2018-11/4/2018. Checked in at 10 pm and at 1 am was awakened to my friend jumping out of bed. When examining his bed in room 116, there were 4-6 bed bugs and little blood spots all over. Working in the hospital, I know what to look for and these were confirmed bed bugs. Also had friends stay in another room and they were chewed up as well the next day. Would stay away from this hotel at all costs. We washed up thoroughly, left all clothes that were taken in and left by 2 am. Would not recommend going anywhere near this hotel for some time. They have a true problem. Given it is a Super 8, I think they did a pretty good job. The room was clean. The beds are firm. It was pretty quiet. The breakfast was not the best, but it was pretty typical for a hotel breakfast. There was cereal, muffins, bagels, toast, eggs, potatoes, sausage, biscuits & gravy, & waffles. My daughter tried the biscuits and gravy & said they were terrible. But it was edible. The swimming pool is small, but that doesn't bother us. It was heated which is nice. The staff is very friendly. I would stay here again. read more

The value was top notch, the employees were friendly and no issues at all. The breakfast was the highlight here. The eggs and sausage were very good and the area was very clean and well kept. I would have given them 5 stars but there was a curly hair on the toilet seat and in the bathtub when we first came in. I showered in Pagosa Springs. (That was just a turn off). Get the double king size suite it rocks. Plenty of room and no fighting for bed space. The best thing about this Super 8 was the staff. The front desk clerk Shana was so helpful on choosing places and things to do. The breakfast buffet was AWESOME. It was hot and fresh it had eggs, sausage, hash browns, waffle machine and and the regular continental items. The breakfast buffet was worth the price hands down. We were VERY impressed with our stay at Super 8 in Alamosa. Recognizing that this is obviously not a luxury hotel, our expectations were realistic, as we had stayed at Super 8s, Days Inn, Ramada Inns, etc. several times on this trip. But this motel stands out from the others for several reasons. The warm and welcoming greeting from the management and staff was amazing, setting the tone for a very pleasant stay---thank you Manish, Carol and Alma. The property and our room were exceptionally clean, even if it's an older property. Our room was spacious and well-appointed, the king-size bed very comfortable and, again, spotlessly clean. The air conditioning worked perfectly and the WiFi was very fast and efficient, something I cannot say for many of the properties we had stayed at. Instead of the typical "budget breakfast," the breakfast was fantastic and included everything, even real fresh eggs, hashed brown potatoes and sausages, waffles, and all the choices of cereal and bread. Best breakfast we've had at this level of hotel/motel---ever! In terms of price/value, this was the best stay of our trip.
