Stay away for the love of god. Unauthorized credit card charges and unprofessional staff. The room wasn't horrible, but the overall experience with the hotel and staff has ensured I will NEVER return here. I stayed here for one night along an anniversary roadtrip with my boyfriend. When we arrived there, we were checked in by some guy in a Nike hoodie that could've easily been confused with another hotel guest. When it was finally our turn to check-in, I told him I booked through the Hopper app and gave him my license. He told me that I couldn't get a room because I was 19 and that they have a 21+ policy. I showed him on the app where we booked that their policy clearly states 18+ and he finally let us check-in after calling a manager. Unprofessional service and unclear on their policies. I provided my credit card for the $50 incidental hold. This is where things started to go really bad. The day after we left I noticed they charged an additional $71.22 to my card, so I called and they said it was a mistake that they double-charged because I booked through a third-party app. He said it would take a few days for the charge to reverse. Today I checked again and noticed that the original charge disappeared and that a NEW charge of $71.22 took its spot. I called again and he said he'd look into it. If today weren't a bank holiday I'd be on the phone right now disputing the charge. As I said, the room wasn't bad. The shower worked fine but the pipe was broken out of the wall. There was a very large cobweb in the corner of the room. The bedsheet had some minor rips in some spots and I'm so glad we brought our own blanket because the sheets were horribly uncomfortable. This hotel is dingy and run by some shady people. If it weren't for the credit card issues I wouldn't be so appalled, but this stress was NOT worth a one-night stay. I would've rather slept in my car for the night on our roadtrip to a nicer hotel in the Poconos. Please save yourself the trouble and stay away from this slimy place. read more

Disgusting. I stayed here while visiting a relative in the area. After finding a smashed cockroach on the wall of my room, I did a thorough bed bug check, but didn't find any. The room was dirty and really gross. read more

I'm very surprised at this hotel's overall ratings. My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend (01/18/2019 to 01/20/2019) as we had plans to go snowboarding in the area and I thought this hotel was well worth every penny we spent. The check in staff was friendly and check in was a breeze. Our room #227 was very clean, large and we had no issues. Not to mention that breakfast and wifi were included. The wifi was fast and breakfast was plentiful. The location was good as well. There are plenty of stores and restaurants within a few minutes drive. We took a short drive to Budd Lake and discovered ice fishing and ice sailing. Very cool. I read a few reviews about the carpets being dirty but twice during my stay I witnessed two different employees sweeping and vacuuming the floor/carpet. I would definitely recommend this hotel and if I'm ever in the area again and need a place to stay I wouldn't hesitate staying here again. read more

MULTIPLE UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES TO MY CREDIT CARD This hotel requires you to supply a credit card. They charge the cost of the room and a $50 hold the moment you check-in. After placing that charge on my credit card, the hotel also charged additional charges. The first extra charge came the day after. I reported it to the front desk and Andy, the Indian manager (son), who reversed the charge. However, he denied all culpability and blamed it on the system and not himself. The second extra charge came a few days later. I reported it to Andy again. Instead of being helpful, he simply said that I would have to call my credit card company and dispute the charge. Then he hung up on me. I recorded the conversation and you can clearly hear him slam the phone down when he hung up. When I went to check out, Andy was hiding away. But his daddy checked me out and said that Andy made him aware of the situation but the daddy did nothing. Still, I had to file a dispute with my credit card company. This hotel is run by an Indian family. The housekeeping staff do not speak any English and it is impossible to communicate with them. There was an issue with the cleanliness of the room. I showed it to the housekeeping staff, Andy, and an Indian female front desk clerk. None of them did anything about it. When you report the issues to the front desk, they do not care. They would rather wait for you to check out, as opposed to rectify the issues. read more

I wanted to check in early, was told that I had to wait...fine.... There were three young gentlemen smoking pot just outside. I minded my own business and went to my car to wait. The clerk came outside, said something to them, and they left. When I checked in, the room smelled like cigarettes. I asked th clerk to turn on the air. We talked about the gentlemen smoking pot. He causally mentioned that he told them that I complained...which I did not. It took me an hour to realize that he put me in danger...When I confronted him, he at first denied it, then made the excuse that I did not complain right away. If my car is damaged, it is his fault. If people are doing something illegal at your hotel, do NOT tell the perpetrators that your GUEST TOLD on them....seriously...I do not feel safe now. Room is spacious, though. read more

My mom stayed here. When I visited her the room she was in had black mold on the shower head and on some of the grout in the shower. The wall paper was peeling off. When she told the front desk girl about the mold the girl seemed neither surprised or to care. It's also in sort of a not great to get in or out of area if your not familiar with jersey or comfortable with crazy traffic but that part isn't really their fault. The bed was good though and other than the mold the place was clean. So a little update. When we complained about the shower head they pretty much ignored us. They SAID they would replace it but they did not. They also did not seem to care a bit that we were upset. My mom packed up and left right away horrible place and staff. Much better hotel than it has been credit for . Stayed here once before on Valentine's Day 2014. This time we were here for 3 days. Staff was friendly and very accommodating . Great place to stay for less than $100! Very clean and certain parts are new & renovated. Beds are comfy. Carpets could use a good cleaning so bring your flip flops. The shower water pressure is amazing. Like getting a water massage. Quick & easy check in. There is a pub literally 2 doors down. One thing and why I didn't give 5 is only because the walls & doors seem thin. You can hear every person who walks by your room. read more

I was absolutely thrilled to have found a place as cheap as this. But as the saying goes you get what you pay for couldn't be more accurate. We got to the hotel which looked fine from the outside, walked in and checked in all was fine and the desk attendant was friendly. However, we walked into the room which at first glance was fine, then we pulled the sheets down... PISS AND BLOOD stains like omg, the pillows were even worse. Then went up to the desk because we had already paid our non refundable reservation and got handed sheets to change our own bed because housekeeping couldn't be reached. The google reviews seemed okay the yelp were iffy. I am posting to both so all are aware. We also spotted a HUGE booger on the wall with blood right by the door. Like come on, I get it's a motel but this is just disgusting. 10/10 do not recommend staying here. We checked out and went to another hotel. read more

Consider finding another place. We booked and paid for a four-night stay in advance. The charges were not refundable, so we were stuck here. On the plus side, the room was fairly large and included a coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator. The beds were not uncomfortable. BUT . . . the decor was very outdated. Wallpaper was peeling at the seams. The bathroom was in need of a thorough cleaning -- including the moldy shower head. This motel is billed as being 100 percent smoke-free, but our room was constantly being infiltrated by the heavy order of cigarette smoke. When we brought this to the attention of the manager, he just shrugged and said there was nothing he could do about it. He told us each bathroom ventilation system is shared by four rooms and it was likely that someone was smoking in one of the connected bathrooms. That attitude alone earns my one-star rating. The TV remote was missing when we checked in to our room. We got a replacement, but the only working function was channel-changing -- no on/off, no mute, no volume control. It was virtually useless. A small matter, perhaps, but an annoyance. Finally, there was the matter of the beer-drinking, cigarette smoking, foul-language-spewing group that occupied the entryway step every evening -- not a very savory welcome! And imagine our surprise when it turned out that one of the group was the on-duty desk clerk. Super unprofessional, I'd say! So yeah, look around. You can do better -- much better. And if you have to pay a bit more, it will likely be well worth the extra cost. read more

The rooms have new decor and are very large. The AC worked great although it was controlled at the unit. The water was way over chlorinated if that matters to you. I had to ask for sheets for the sofa bed. I am not sure if they normally charge extra for them. Price was reasonable. I think we needed to get a password for wifi which we never did. My AT&T coverage was not LTE. read more
