Black mold on shower head.
April B.

My mom stayed here. When I visited her the room she was in had black mold on the shower head and on some of the grout in the shower. The wall paper was peeling off. When she told the front desk girl about the mold the girl seemed neither surprised or to care. It's also in sort of a not great to get in or out of area if your not familiar with jersey or comfortable with crazy traffic but that part isn't really their fault. The bed was good though and other than the mold the place was clean. So a little update. When we complained about the shower head they pretty much ignored us. They SAID they would replace it but they did not. They also did not seem to care a bit that we were upset. My mom packed up and left right away horrible place and staff. Also the place says it has a fitness room but it does not.

Toilet scum.

This hotel caters to business travelers during the week and wedding parties on the weekend…read more Well-priced for business, but some areas definitely lacking. - Cafe was woefully understaffed. Server at dinner was friendly, but food took over one hour with little apology or explanation. Food itself was way below expectations for standard cafe fare (pizza, sandwiches, salad). On another evening, bartender was borderline rude when asked if the bar had any chips, nuts, etc.: "No." - Workout accomodations also lacking for business hotel. Just four machines and one out of commission. Water dispenser empty. Jacuzzi colder than the pool. - On the upside, front desk staff was consistently cheerful and helpful - top 5% service.

This hotel was great. Stayed here for a friend's wedding along with most of the wedding party and a…read moregood number of their guests. They didn't book a suite of rooms but rather we all booked individually and still ended up fairly close to one another. The bar scene was great and offered us all an easy way to connect before and after the wedding festivities. On top of that, the rooms were large and well-stocked with everything you would need (iron, shampoo AND conditioner, shower cap, 2 kinds of soap, etc.), beds were comfortable and I even got a phone call 5 minutes after check-in from the front desk to see how the room was. The staff was friendly and helpful. Couldn't beat the price either- great AAA discount! Would stay here again in a heartbeat

OK, so first off let's start with a good. My boyfriend and I spent the night there because we went…read moreto a Viking festival nearby. Yes, you read that right a Viking festival. Don't judge me lol. So this hotel was very close and reasonably priced to Vasa Park, which is where the Viking festival took place. I figured it's a Days Inn not a Ritz, so I wasn't expecting anything amazing, but it is by Wyndham so that makes reputable. Anyway, back to the good... So check-in was easy, the room was clean, bathroom as well. Breakfast the next day was fine. It was a simple continental, breakfast with cereals, muffins, waffles, bagels, yogurt, and coffee. No eggs, breakfast meat or fresh fruit. Staff at the hotel was very nice and the person at the front desk/breakfast area asked several times if we were OK or needed anything else; that shows hospitality. The breakfast room was adorable and very cozy with a nice, warm fireplace. Now for the bad... the tub looked a little bit old, water pressure low, and there were some stains on the sheets and comforter; not huge, but regardless a few little stains. The big negative now....I was not able to sleep very well in that bed because the mattress was very deeply sunken in. I literally felt like I was sleeping on a slide, with my head by the pillow and my body on an incline going down. It was pretty bad. I decided to scoot down into the...I don't know what you even call ...it the sunken part of the mattress, and my feet were nearly off the end of the bed, but I found that was the only way that I could actually sleep. In the meantime, my boyfriend tried to maintain that slide position, but he said that the deep abyss kept pulling him in and he struggled to keep that slide position. I said to him that he should have gone in the hole with me rather than struggle. It sounds a bit funny as I'm writing this but quite honestly it was super uncomfortable and just based on that I would not return. I did not get a good nights sleep whatsoever and neither did my boyfriend. As for the rating, I would give it a two out of five. My boyfriend gives it a three out of five. You can see he is a bit more generous than I am. Though he says I'm being a but harsh. Nonetheless, I would say it's a 2.5 only because the mattress was in very poor condition. If they were to get a new mattress in that room (215) then that would be terrific. I can't say if all the rooms have mattresses in that condition, but that was the case for mine, unfortunately. Like I said, otherwise the hotel is fine.

I can't complain about the comfort of the mattress. That was good, however…read more... I don't know what they spray on the hall carpets but you get bowled over by the chemical smell. The towels are skimpy and stained as are the bedspreads (stained). Sheets appeared clean. They have metal shields around the bedframes that prevent unexpected visitors under the beds but there is no toe kick space and we were constantly hitting it - and it is soooooo loud when you do. You will wake up your roommate and the person next door. It got so bad we started to joke that the next person who hits it buys the next meal. We lost track of who was buying what meal. I think we will be buying each other meals for the next year. If there is a door to an adjoining room, expect to hear everything, I mean everything that your neighbor does, as if they are in the room with you. I can tell you their alarm ring tone and the time of their nighttime pee break. We would not stay here again. We left a day earlier than planned.
