    Hotel room (2 queen beds)

My oh my, I was expecting a lot more from a Hyatt hotel but this felt below average. Although I was here for only 2 nights, it was not a very pleasant stay. When I got there, I was greeted with friendliness so that was good and the room itself seemed clean. I also liked that it was located near a lot of the night life (restaurants walkable or a short Uber ride to bars). But when it was time to sleep, it was an uncomfortable experience. Since I came here during the winter, I obviously used the heater. Each time it came on, I thought there was a big announcement to be made so I got woken up every 2 hours. Then on top of that, there was construction happening and the dumpster was being thrown around at 3am. No warning from the front desk at all. This happened for both nights so no good sleep for both those nights. I found out later on that I wasn't the only one that experienced this disaster. For my specific timeframe here, it wasn't pleasant at all. Pretty disappointed.

Got the chance to stay in this hotel overnight. When I arrived, the front desk staff had just walked away going into a room behind the front desk and hadn't seen me. I stood waiting for a minute when another staff member came out and asked if I was being helped. I replied "no" and then she proceeded to help me check in. She was friendly and attentive. The entrance is grand, clean and modernly decorated. I went up to my room and that also was clean and cozy. Parking was easily accessible. All in all a pleasant stay with nice accommodations.

Came to Morristown for a work conference and stayed at the Hyatt. Great location close walk distance to over 50 restaurants. Neat and clean rooms and friendly service. Would definitely come back to stay here.

Love this hotel!!!! It is clean and airy with positive vibe. The location is great- I had an amazing dinner and breakfast at nearby restaurants. And! The movie theater is connected to the hotel. The service was top notch. I love the crunch gym. Its outdated but better than the small standard hotel gyms. It's an added benefit to have a full gym. My only wish is that the gym had lockers with built in locks vs bringing your own lock. It's all in the details! I absolutely love the mirror with the clock in the mirror. I love the lights in the headboard. And the lights at the bottom of the bed are brilliant. The shower was heavenly. Rain shower with different pressure and also a regular shower head. The bed was dreamy. The only negative was the elevator- loud and shaky and sounded like a rocket taking off. But overall, I wish I could have stayed for a week to decompress.

I had a great two-night stay at the Hyatt Regency Morristown. The rooms are fully renovated, housekeeping did an excellent job cleaning, and we honestly had no complaints. The only thing this hotel is missing is room service.

    Convention space in the complex.

Hyatt Regency Morristown is a hotel with a growing problem: It needs a major refit/overall/reconstruction because it's starting to age. Hotel's biggest advantage is its prime location, near the Morristown Green. Parking garage is HUGE, but closer parking spots to the hotels entrance can be a challenge. First, be aware this is not the hotel to be noisy in. At least one major airline uses this as a primary hotel for pilots and stewardess, who you will often find in the lobby checking in. Second, security at this hotel is heavier than expected, with additional security patrolling from the surrounding complex for various reasons. This can be a problem for events and conferences, because this security can be overzealous. One out of the three elevators were broken and showed no signs of being repaired during our visit. We had a Studio Suit that was smaller than you'd expect, three people could comfortably fit, but no more. Room showed various signs of wear and tear. There were stains on both sides of the pull out couches sofa seats. Bathroom, while having a great shower had stains and rust, but also seemed to build up moisture. Only one side of the bed had plugs to charge devices. The room's blinds do almost nothing to keep out light. By the end of our stay, the door was not always closing and locking. The biggest issue is the walls and doors are paper thin, to the point you can walk past doors and hear moderately loud conversations. The beds were comfortable though, and the rooms do come with a mini-fridge. Convention space is adequate for a small to small/mid-size convention. Space is split between the hotel and the complex. I've never been to an event that used the upstairs ballrooms or meeting rooms, so I can't speak to those, but they do seem hard to rent. Space includes several larger rooms and smaller breakout rooms on the lower floor and in the complex. Several issues exist, with the room across from hotel registration having visible water damage. Bathrooms were also not the most pleasant smelling this visit, with another set having supply issues. Finally, businesses in the complex have issues with pictures being taken in those areas. Food service in the lobby also isn't the fastest, and seems under-prepared and understaffed, but the food is good when it finally arrives. Do your research in the area because Morristown has many excellent restaurants just a few blocks away. Overall, this hotel is about location, location, location. It's the right location when visiting Morristown, but it's out of date and in need of attention.

A little disappointing. Not really 3 stars. The convenience shop shuts at 10 and there are no stores open nearby. The air conditioning system was broken and that's really a black mark. Parking extremely confusing and they charge $10 a night if you're staying. Other problems were the in-room coffee and coffee maker which made the coffee taste like fish!!, And if you want to watch a film on the in-house system, it's 20 ******* dollars....for one shitty film. And the selection sucks ! And shouldn't the parking be free if you're a paying guest? If you just want to eat or have a drink, the parking is free. That's back-arsewards where I come from. I think I'll try somewhere else next time. This is way too expensive with these problems. $20 for a film! Jesus! I could buy 3 or 4 brand new DVD's for that.

Ok, This is New Jersey... the petro-chemical state (quoting a certain movie) nothing could be further from the truth... Morristown.... so charming, quaint, and a respite from big cities. The hotel is great. Nice rooms, great service and its in the heart of Morristown. If you don't want to partake in hotel food and drink, there are numerous options within a block. I have to tell you... people from New Jersey and New York get a bad rap... I love them, they're friendly and helpful. More importantly, I ate at the bar... left and my check looked normal... Well, the sweet tooth called and I went back down to the Hyatt bar... the two servers said, we think we over charged you by accident so chose any drinks and food from the cooler... I ended up on the better side of the deal. They didn't have to do that, but they have great employees here. Thank You for your service and honesty.... it didn't go unnoticed.

My husband and I love to stay there and eat at Rod's for our special occasions. The renovation is great! The rooms are so nice now. Modern and very comfy! We most recently stayed in a king suite and it was big and lovely! So much nicer than the kinda icky bridal suite we stayed in 8 years ago But overall, this, like rod's, is still a pretty traditional place. If you don't like that, you won't like it! And if you're not staying for business or wedding, maybe not your gig. Still, I love it. Nice, friendly, train in the back, close to Morristown and Madison both lovely towns. And I love Rod's and the red dog, both fun old timely places for some food or a drink.

It does sound like they're aware and are working on renovations, so that's good. My room, and for that matter, the public spaces as well, were clean and comfortable. However, my room was quite dated. The sliding bathroom door was kind of falling apart. The bathtub area, while clean, was definitely in need of a makeover. The TV in my room didn't work. The window in my room was so dirty, you could barely see outside. I wish they had water fillers in the common areas instead of just old water fountains. Others in my work group mentioned problems with the AC or other issues in their rooms. Anyone in the general hotel staff I came in contact with, including the front desk, were very nice. One issue with a morning waiter in the Blue Morel restaurant, but I mentioned that in that review. Also, it's really secluded from anything, so you can't easily walk anywhere from here. I wouldn't specifically avoid staying here again, but I'd probably check other options first.

From basic health and safety oversights to complete climate and comfort failures, I strongly advise future guests to look elsewhere. The stay was marred by several unacceptable issues: Basic Amenities & Potable Water Concerns: When inquiring about drinking water, front desk staff explicitly stated that the water from the lobby fountains is not safe to drink. Compounding this issue, bottled water is not provided to guests, leaving visitors without reliable access to safe drinking water. Severe Room & Comfort Issues: Our room carried a persistent, heavy odor of cigarette smoke, and to make matters worse, the air conditioning completely shut off during our stay, making the room uncomfortably warm and difficult to rest in. Communication & Staffing Inefficiencies: Reaching the front desk by phone is practically impossible, as calls continuously go unanswered. Despite the property appearing heavily overstaffed with employees frequently standing around in groups, actual guest service is entirely absent. Misleading Facility Information: The pool is advertised and signed as heated, but the water was freezing cold and completely unusable. Ineffective Management Response: When management eventually reaches out asking for feedback, engaging with them feels like running around in circles. This location does not align with the standard of quality, service, and reliability associated with other properties under the Marriott brand. Save your time, money, and peace of mind by booking your stay elsewhere.

The kitchen area was spotless and I was VERY IMPRESSED with the included tools, silverware, dishware, cleaning supplies, and how clean everything was. If you did want to do an extended stay to cook, you are set. But the rest of the room is so bizarrely laid out. You have to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom, there's no solid door between the two so hope you're close with everyone and have an eye mask for the light! The air vents go directly on top of the bed so you may need more bedding with the AC going. The water flow varied- sometimes great, sometimes not. The only long mirror is in the bathroom- without much room to step back. I've never been so disappointed in a breakfast before. The bread/pastry items were all badly stale, the basic breakfast items went low and took forever to be replaced. Nothing had any seasoning on it. The layout of where plates/plasticware are made no sense. Even the juice was bad. There's one small trash bin that is difficult to put stuff in. Absolutely nothing good to say.
