Good stop for a night or two on a road trip. Minimal amenities but the room was clean.

Stayed here because the reviews were 8.8 and it was a safe good area. We reserved two nights for $255.00. However the room was filthy and uncomfortable! The bathroom had poop on the shower curtain, walls and toilets had not been cleaned. Very nicely annd respectfully I had informed a staff member who was working and they said they would have management contact me. I emailed the management the photos and never got a phone call. I waited until 9pm and decided to go back to the front desk. This time I spoke to the manager and she had stated, "Yes, I got your email, I am aware there's nothing I can do. Mr. Patel the owner is aware as well." Days later here we are with no company communication or even an apology. Not to mention the bed was very lumpy and if you sat on one side of the bed the mattress would elevate the other side. Definitely do not recommend this hotel to anyone for any reason. Bears one of those "Pride of the Super 8" award and you can see why in most aspects: good staff, coffee and fruit water in the lobby all day, indoor pool and hot tub, seems very clean and well run. All rooms also have micro/fridge unlike the Super 8 over in Grand Junction. Real thin walls tho, the only real reason for points coming off. I got lucky with this overall but I heard a dude in the next room's phone convos off and on. Still, if you have to stay in Fruita specifically for one or two nights for some reason, I'd probably pick this one, from looking at other reviews the small handful of other hotels all seem to have the same noise issues but cost more, and this one is clean+comfy and well run at least. Just bring some earplugs or something. read more

I've now stayed here two years running on different roadtrips. Must love it to do so. (The first time may or may not have been planned. The second time was definitely unplanned - I was gonna stay in Grand Junction but had extra daylight.) But seriously, it's nice. Indoor corridors. A POOL. FINALLY AN INDOOR POOL AND HEATED WHIRLPOOL. I so relaxed myself down there. Both desk clerks I ran into were friendly and jovial. The room was clean and I had the best sleep of the trip so far - quietest room. The breakfast comes cold and hot. I don't know what else to go on about - soft pillows, TV, you name it, they've got it, it's just like, it's just like, a mini mall. Hey hey... anyway, if I'm ever back in GJ (which I do need to finish driving all of Interstate 70...), may as well make it a trifecta! read more

I was worried about staying in another super 8 hotel after a past experience but this one was nice. There are carpets throughout which was good for my dog who is scared of hard flooring. The king sized bed was really comfortable and the bedding felt nice. The place was clean. The decor was good. The room was spacious. It was in a good location. Near walkable restaurants and gas stations. There was a park right next door which was great to eat dinner at and take the dog for a walk. Felt safe. Not much to do in fruita but it's a cute little town. I'd stay here again. read more

On the three occasions Ive frequented ive been greeted and met with nothing less than personable friendliness ears and accomodations reflected in genuine interest to hear and accomodate. You know someone is present with you when their actions reflect humanity and understanding. No robots here or stooges unwilling or averse praxtice swrvice outside the trainers manuel. Plus they have a cool microwave, goodie surprises in the morning, and pool area. Convenient location close to freeways, the Colorado Monument, independent pizzerias, and gas stations with a nearby Starbucks, hopefully diminishing mental image of seedy and oily station. read more

Wonderful stay ~ easy check-in, very nice hotel with all the Amenities you would want including continental breakfast, free WiFi, coffee maker, microwave, mini-fridge, and hairdryer in room. Very reasonably priced and comfortable bed. Nice size television with lots of channels and HBO, and a Showtime channel. Stayed in a king room, nice size, very minimal noise. Felt very safe, as you need your key card to get into all side doors. Pet friendly, so bring your fur babies! Property is smoke-free, but there's smoking areas outside. Wheelchair accessible, self-service washer and dryer at $1.00 for each, which is great. Vending machines are very reasonably priced at $1.25 for a soda. Kids 17 and under stay free with a parent. Check-in time is 3:00 pm and check-out time is 11:00 am. Delicious coffee, and I only had oatmeal, but a wide variety of choices for breakfast. Nice seating area too. Hotel has plenty of parking and even has space for a semi-truck and trailer. You basically have to back in off street. Hotel is within walking distance to several fast food chains, and restaurants. Also minutes away from the Colorado River State Park, and Dinosaur museum. There is an indoor pool, and hot tub. Looked very clean, but feel this is the only area that might need a little attention/retiled/re-painted possibly. I can't say enough about the staff here, especially Debbie, Eli, and Brittany. They advertised that they are Pet friendly, but that is not the case. Apparently they only allow Dogs. That's Dog friendly not pet friendly! After traveling from Los Angeles to Colorado in one day we booked two rooms at the Super 8 because it explicitly stated "Pet Friendly"! We are in the process of moving the family to the upper pennisula of Michigan so of course Critters are family too. As I have dogs and cats. So when we arrived we were then informed by the hotel clerk that they only allow dogs? He then calls the owner Deb who rudely tells me that they only allow dogs! I said that is false advertising as I wouldn't have booked 2 rooms if that was stated. And told us to go elsewhere. Even had to mention her lawyers! I'm like wow! This is the worst Customer service I've ever encountered! Don't waste your time or money! We ended up going across the street to La Quinta who was very accommodating and a much nicer and more reasonably priced! read more

Worse than staying in your grandparent's creaky old basement. You'll hear every move that other guests make- walking, flushing the toilets, showering... in my case there is a small family of elephants above me ​jumping on the beds ​and from the sound (and shaking)​​​​ of it, they are getting in their hour-long wind sprints across their room. I fully understand that these little elephant sprinters will not be here during everyone's stay, but the point remains that there is no sound buffer in the rooms. My suggestion would be to spend a few extra dollars and go to a nicer hotel.​​​ read more

Stayed 7/5/19 for 1 night. Room was clean...the indoor pool needs aesthetic help, mold on baseboard around spa and pool was freezing. Spa nice and hot. Towels are sandpaper, so bring your own. Takes a long time for hot water for shower to kick in. I was going to give it 2 stars but, I've been to worse. Room smelled nice and again, room was clean as is lobby. Stayed here for three nights while visiting family nearby. Price was very competitive, staff were very friendly, rooms looked/smelled clean (yes, I'm picky about smell!), facilities were in good repair, location was easy to find/conveniently located, free wifi was fast and easy, and they're pet friendly. (They do charge a $10 per night fee, but this is actually cheaper than any comparable hotels that I checked.) Didn't sample the breakfast, but they always had a jug of ice water and cups available in the lobby for guests, which I really appreciated in such a dry climate. My only gripe is that the pillows were thin/flat, but if that's the worst thing going on, they're doing fine! I will definitely stay at this Super 8 on future visits to Grand Junction. (Also stayed at Super 8 locations in Trinidad, CO, and Cortez, CO, in the same week. Grand Junction was the best of the three.) read more

Great place to stay, the staff is wonderful!. Our room spotless, the hotel quiet after dark and breakfest good. The hotel is well run and attractive. They have a laundry facility, hot tub nad pool. It is located close to fast food, the cute small old town of Fruita, the local Visitors center, and a City Market is just over I-70. I called 2 months before our trip and made the reservations, everything was ready and waiting when we arrived! We stayed here a the beginning and end of our tour! It is the best value for you money in the area! read more

A few months after the FTR, I pretty much agree with that one. In case that review is changed, here are the points from that review with which I agree: " -Decent Super 8. -Swimming pool. -The air conditioning in my room works well. -The coffee maker in my room with regular and decaf coffee, plus orange pekoe tea and black tea is a nice touch. -The free wi-fi is solid. -The breakfast was lame. " I would add that the swimming pool is quite good and the staff generally exceeds or is at least up to the usual Super 8 standard. The point about the breakfast will mostly hinge on your expectations; it was typical Super 8 Fast Start fare with no frills but with no problems either. If you are interested in driving or mountain biking through very scenic areas, one of the main entrances to the Colorado National Monument national park area was very close. The helpful staff directed me to that excellent site, which I most likely and unfortunately would have missed without their recommendation. This is apparently a very popular, probably most convenient, location to stay during biking events at the Monument and should serve that purpose, along with the general tourist's needs, very well. I have not stayed at the 'Super 8 Grand Junction' but I can make the following quick observations. That one is only 12 miles away from this hotel and should be equally convenient to I70; unlike that one, the swimming pool at this Fruita Super 8 is indoors, and therefore available year round. Both the Fruita and Grand Junction Super 8s are very conveniently located in relation (at opposite entrances) to the Colorado National Monument. If you would like to try either of the hotels but the class of room that you want is unavailable, the other hotel should be worth a try. read more

Our Family of 13, ranging in age from 6 to 76, along with two dogs stayed at super 8 for two nights before we went on a August rafting trip and for two nights after the trip.We were really pleased with Super 8. Their staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and cheery. The beds very comfortable. We were on the third floor it was quiet. We were able to have adjoining rooms. Debbie Ferguson so totally helpful for every need we had. If any of us find our way back to Fruita we will surely stay here. read more

I stayed here with my dog last week. I had a great stay - the room was immaculate, the bed was really comfy, and the staff were super friendly. They kindly put me in a room on the first floor near the back door, so it was very convenient with the dog. I really appreciate that as not all dog-friendly hotels do that. I usually stay at another lower priced, pet friendly hotel in Grand Junction, but that place has really gone down hill. I am overjoyed to have found this affordable gem - can't beat the room for the price! read more

Stayed here over the 4th of July weekend, The room was clean the staff was nice. When we checked out and arrived home I noticed we were missing a pair of shoes for my grandson, I called them and a staff member told me they would look for them since they didn't see them in lost and found. I never received a call. The next morning I called and spoke with a David he advised me that they were there so I told him I would have a family member go pick them up. Later that evening Brian called just to make sure that we received the shoes. Both gentlemen provided excelent customer service. read more

I love staying at this motel when I'm going back and forth between Denver and wherever I'm headed in Utah and beyond. The staff is great and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. I like that when I'm there in summer I can set my room's air conditioning to 'meat locker', and when I request a ground floor room the management always obliges me. There are restaurants and convenience stores within 2 minutes' walk in any direction. Rib City Grill is right there- their onion rings are so good, it's ridiculous. On my most recent visit 7/16/16 I arrived early for check-in. Manager 'Deb' retasked a maid to get my room ready right away. I surely appreciated that because I had just ridden about 250 miles by motorcycle and was ready for a cool quiet room and a refreshing shower. The rooms are non-smoking which is fine by me- there are butt cans at all the entrances. Fruita Super 8 is my place to stay on the Western Slope. read more

No hot water in the shower. when i complained teh manager argued and insisted there were plenty of boilers to supply hot water but wouldn't listen to the fact there was hot water in the sink, just not the shower. They refused to check (let alone fix) or change my room. Probably less than 1/2 hour for a plumber to fix but I won't be staying at super 8 again, there or anywhere else. read more

Super 8 was a "Super" great place to stay in Fruita! The staff was awesome, Jennifer, David, and they made our stay extremely comfortable. The room was very clean and all of the equipment was in good working order. We were having so much fun we never got to use the beautifully clean indoor pool or jacuzzi, but we meant to do that!
