This place is consistently well maintained to the Hampton Inn quality that you expect. The rooms are fresh and clean with comfy beds. The breakfast team work hard each morning to offer hot and cold choices that are constantly replenished. They are always moving around cleaning up to make room for the next guest. Firstly, the bed was super stretchy and bouncy which wasn't good for my back. I had to sleep on my side all night. Would like the hotel to spend some money and replace some beds because my guess is it's pretty old. Secondly, the breakfast nook area is very small and right next to the check in/out area which lead to a ton of people being there at the same time. I'd like to see breakfast served in another room with larger seating. Overall good though experience & I would stay here again.

A few cons to the room - There was rust/mold in the bathtub and the toilet didn't flush. Looked like the handle was broke. I reported it to the staff upon noticing the issue who then proceeded to go get me a plunger. I explained it's not stuffed; it just won't flush because the handle is broke. Her response was then we aren't going to switch you because you are checking out today. I said that's fine I'm just making you aware of this problem. The breakfast area was decent. Nothing to brag about, however I always appreciate a hot breakfast and when more is offered then just bagels, cereal, and muffins. They had sausage, omelettes, cinnamon rolls and an assortment of others. Other amenities: The ice machine was out of order. Three of the 4 treadmills in the fitness center were out of order and the swimming pool was very small in total width and only went up to 4 feet deep so couldn't even jump in or swim around so we opted to not go in after initially being excited and packing our swim suits. One last note is my room rate when I checked out on the website was $124, however after I submitted, I saw payment of $182. I looked at my order summary and saw a 19.99 non refundable charge to book plus taxes of course. I wish this amount appeared before I processed the payment because I would have looked elsewhere. That's too much to pay for one night during the work week in the city of New Castle. Overall not the worst stay, but given the price, and the fact that the hotel is only a few years old with many issues, this was an underwhelming experience. It is located on a highway, so even with the air condition on, you hear tractor trailers going by the hotel. The staff were very willing to work with me as far as housekeeping ... I was working nights and needed to sleep all day. The staff uniforms were eclectic (bedroom slippers, low riding shorts, no work badges) making it sometimes difficult to identify who was staff. The lobby always had guests mingling. There is a pool. Breakfast is served in the main lobby. There isn't a restaurant in the hotel but many options within a 10 minute drive. The room had lots of lighting options, soft and firm pillows (embroidered on the pillow cases), large walk in shower, and plenty of room to put stuff. I would definitely return to this establishment.

Our guess is that this has been a problem for a long time, considering the number of industrial fans they had running. The guests were doused in sweat, and sadly, by 6:00, most people had left. Unfortunately that's only the beginning of the experience for my family. How truly sad that on my cousin's special day, they celebrated without their guests due to the heat in the building. The bride got a room there the night before. The conditions were so deplorable she didn't stay, and they didn't stay their wedding night either (I believe). When all was said and done, my cousin posted a very honest review on their Facebook page, and the owner verbally attacked her on Facebook and made personal insults. Thankfully we took screenshots, because they somehow managed to hide her review and threatened to take them to court. Beware! The rooms are always clean and it's one of the only places around that I can still smoke in the comfort of my hotel room. The husband and wife combo that run the motel are absolutely terrific and very accommodating! The Eldorado Motel is also incredibly affordable with weekly rates that can't be beat. A must stay if you inhabit the New Castle area or if your in from out of town visiting friend or family.
