Walked in and went to get coffee. There is basically no coffee and it's absolutely cold. Asked the front desk clerk- Manisha if she could make some fresh coffee and she said "No, we don't do that here at this time" they only make it in the morning". This is the first Hampton Inn that has ever stated something like this and refused to make a pot of coffee. Is this a new trend? If so, it is very disappointing. read more

Couldn't have been happier with our stay at this hotel especially being a dog owner. They accommodated us on the 1st floor right next to the outside door adjacent to their pet area (Room 129 if it's available). You can unload at the door quickly into the room & park right around the corner in front of the dog wee area. The room was clean, the bathroom was super clean, they have a hot or cold breakfast station. Across the street is a phenomenal ice cream place if you are here for summer. Hotel is right off the highway & plenty of restaurants in the area. They have a grub hub offer if you don't want to leave your dog(s) alone. All in all a great overnight stay on our road trip. read more

The area is a bit run down. I had choices from our company to pick from, and not knowing the area picked due to proximity to where I needed to go to. The hotel appears nice but they leave the rooms hot when no one is checked in,not really a deal breaker. My last night the smoke detector went off at 10:30pm when I was in deep sleep. The night clerk could not get it to stop so after 30 or so minutes gave me a room key down the hall and told me to sleep there. When I checked out the manager asked how my stay was and told him about the previous night and how it took me until after one to get back to sleep and cool room down, his response was "You got a different room, Right?" Completely unapologetic or concerned about a good night sleep needed for my work at hand here in the city. I absolutely understand what happened was out of their control and was not malicious, but unapologetic I have an issue with. After finishing my check out I told the manager I will not be returning to this hotel and he said "Thank you." What a comment, even then no sorry, no what can I do to resolve your frustration, just thanks for not coming back because my stay wasn't perfect. They stated they have a fitness center and we had two college athletes traveling with us. When we went to the fitness facility it was closed and they were very rude when we asked if there was anything they could do for us. We picked the hotel because they had the fitness facility. We could have gone somewhere else if they would have told us it would be closed. read more

I had called ahead to see if they had a pool and what time was it opened until. "Midnight." Well, alrighty then. The pool was nice and clean and empty. The rooms are fine and clean. The breakfast was nice and not crowded. There was a lady working there who would ask if everything was ok and would make waffles for you. And they had breakfast to go bags for you. read more

Nice hotel with a friendly staff. We were immediately greeted with smiles and free cookies. The room was clean and bed was comfy. The shower was very long and narrow, but manageable. Breakfast was fantastic with a nice variety. The blueberry waffles and scrambled eggs were delicious. It is right next to the interstate, so you will hear cars and trucks passing, but not horrible. read more

We stayed here one night due to bad roads from a winter storm and it was closest hotel with availability. The front desk person was friendly. The room however smelled like sewage. It was awful. We did not say anything as it was late and we just needed a place to just rest our heads until storm passed. I hesitated to give a bad review but felt I should because this sewage smell seems to not be a temporary issue based on reviews I went back and read and for whatever reason has still not been resolved. The bathroom was dirty the baseboards looked to have never been cleaned with what appeared to be urine stains. There was also buckets in the lobby collecting water leaks from the ceiling. The outside looks amazing but I am afraid this hotel is lipstick on a you know what. I stay at hotels about two weekends a month and this was the worst one in this category. It says it is a 3 star category but it is more like a 1 star. read more

Clean, comfortable, and convenient. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was a great deal with decent breakfast. The pool and outdoor firepit outside were nice as well. We enjoyed the Church Hill Park trail for a short hike with our dog in the morning. read more

The rooms here are clean and smelled clean too. The wifi worked great and rooms were already air conditioned when we checked in. Maybe it's a midwest thing but besides the clean rooms service here is the best I've seen and exceeded my expectations. The receptionists at the counter were nice and welcoming. When we were enjoying the complimentary breakfast the employees passing by (to restock the break area?) would stop and ask us if they could help us get anything. I usually always stay at this location when visiting my hometown of Youngstown, OH. Staff is friendly, check-in is a breeze, rooms are clean and comfortable. They have a continental breakfast included in the cost, but it's more than juice, coffee, bagels and croissants. They have eggs, make-your-own waffles, bacon or sausage, fruit.... The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the indoor pool doesn't look or smell inviting. I will definitely stay again and recommend to others. read more

Stayed for 3 nights in June for a golf weekend with 20 of us. The hotel is well located near many restaurants, bars and some shopping like - 24 hour Walmart, 24 hours Dunkin Donuts, Shakers bar, Youngstown Crab Co. Breakfast at hotel is very good - breakfast wraps, pancakes, french toast, waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt and more. Rooms were nice and clean, but the whole place had very ugly carpets. The pool area is nice send open late. Fitness center is small- only a few machines. Overall very happy with my stay. read more

This is an "ok" Hampton but definitely not the best representative of the chain that I've visited. The rooms were clean as was the hotel but there was just something about it that was not as nice as some of it's peers. Housekeeping disappointed me when I returned on my second night to find all my soap and shampoo gone. This would have been ok if I'd found it BEFORE I had my jammies on for the night. Very disappointing. The HVAC unit in our room was not working properly. It either heated the room excessively or froze us out. It was pretty cold out last night and our room required heat however since the HVAC unit was malfunctioning we were kept awake in an uncomfortable pool of sweat. A true disaster for those who require a decent nights sleep. When we spoke to the manager about the HVAC issue the next morning, he had a real attitude. In addition to the aforementioned, the bed was uncomfortable. We are driving across country and are staying almost exclusively in Hilton properties. As usual, I have found that many of the Hampton Inns need updating and newer, more comfortable beds and this Hampton Inn is no exception. I cannot recommend this property and I would not stay here again. read more

It's perfect if you're here on business, I don't know what there is to see as far as tourist attractions but the hotel is cozy!! They incorrectly booked my family members because the room couldn't accommodate them (even though it was specified that it would online) which resulted in an additional charge. The refrigerators don't work in 2 of the 3 rooms for our family which led to a ton of food waste because our food was room temperature all night. The drain in my shower got backed up which still makes me shudder when I think of what came out of the drain. There are no ceiling fans in the bathroom so the entire room gets muggy when anyone showers. This whole experience has been an unmitigated nightmare from the jump. As someone who stays with Hampton quite frequently, I must say this is one of the best branches i have ever experienced. The staff here was incredibly friendly and helpful. The lobby was warm, and welcoming, and stocked with a plethora of complimentary drinks and snacks. The rooms were very clean, and the beds were comfy. The complimentary breakfast had a great selection of different foods, and the staff also packed us "breakfast to go" bags, as we left fairly early in the morning. Love the location,3 blocks off the expressway, which made it nice and quiet. Dana, the front desk attendant, was the best. She has the best personality and was very accomodating when I asked to change my room. She also gave me great advice on an excellent Mexican restaurant in town. This property had a great breakfast and the rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable. Heated pool open until midnight, what a plus. I will return to this property. If traveling by car look to see if there is a coupon in coupon book at I 80 tollway service areas, it saved me a few dollars. read more

They had food and alcohol and were inconsiderate and loud!! I couple hear conversations clear as day and every song they played and sang too. Rather small rooms for a hampton inn. Directv in the rooms. I cant bring myself to rate more than two stars because the toilet was not an elongated bowl. The location is such you have to drive through a defunct mexican restaurant parking lot that is torn up to get to the backlot. Breakfast was better than other hamptons. read more

Stayed twice in the span of a week. Very friendly and professional staff, rooms are clean and well managed. Only complaint is that we had difficulty both stays in connecting our smart devices to the internet. Our laptop worked alright, but for our phones and ipad I had to go down to the lobby for good internet. Other than that, I would stay here every time I passed through.
