    Holes in carpet

For $65 I should've just picked a Marriott. Trash was left outside of my room when I first walked in. Secondly, holes in the carpet, tears in the wall. Lastly, my window to the room was wide open and the screen door was wide open. Also, room doesn't smell pleasant. No odors were taken into consideration. No complimentary breakfast. Workers don't give any pride, they sit there with little to do no care.

Mattress box spring. Yuck! SO GROSS!

Dear lord! Gross! One star too good. The first thing to notice is how run down but then, up in room 232, I cannot even tell you the smell that filled that room. It was as if incense or drug use (not marijuana) or something going on. My son and I figured out it was truly the smell they create in Halloween haunted houses. (Not a joke) It permeated the whole room. I tried the a/c fan and no help, then I called the front desk and invited him Inside the room to smell and he agreed and gave me air freshener. Seriously. Nice attempt. Didn't work though. I was seriously thinking that smell would stick to us like a Seinfeld episode. The hallways are what smelled of marijuana usage, at least on one side of the 2nd floor. I will say that my relative's room was upstairs from us and it did not have the weird smell like ours did. Their room was still horrible, just not quite as horrible. The mattress box spring pad had some gross markings of old splashes liquids on it. Yuck!! The microwave button fell off (was only inspecting it, not using it). The door latch looked like it was about to fall off as if someone was trying to break in the door form the outside. The sink was super chipped and didn't look clean. We slept with the light on just in case bugs would be less inclined to come out. I wouldn't put the covers on. We slept fully clothed and honestly I didn't even let my feet ever touch the floor. Always some shoes on. Why didn't we leave you ask? Well the town was filled with some gun/knife show and so it seemed that all the other places were booked, otherwise, I would've ran out of that place as quickly as possible. Also, because we arrived late and we were on the road early, our other family upstairs wasn't wanting to drive to another town. I considered sleeping in the car in the parking lot but there were people loitering and smoking pot out there. I had to take it as a lesson learned at that point. The lesson learned was: NEVER AGAIN will I go to a super 8 just from this experience. Absolutely awful!

Not one who usually bashes a business but this has been horrible!! If I could give negative stars I would. All the other hotels are sold out tonight or we'd be gone right now. From the moment of check in this has been horrible!! The clerk was far from friendly and seems to hate her job and life!! She answered the phone several times during checking me in which is fine since she was alone but she was so rude to them also. Not only do the halls reek of drugs so bad it's coming into the room and they are in need of vacuum and have trash all over. There were holes in hallway walls where it appeared something kicked or punched the walls. as you can see by the pictures our room is disgusting! Poor repair, and filthy! I asked for an extra pillow because there were only two very flat pillows on a queen sized bed and I have a health condition that requires my head to be elevated more than a pancake. and the clerk told me the hotel had no extra pillows to go buy one across the street. In the room the bedspread was stained, the sheets had stains, the two flat pillows smelled of body odor and smoke. Though it was a non smoking room. I can actually draw in the dust on the coffee maker. The rugs have gum on them and other spills and are obviously not vacuumed. The tub has hair and scum. The walls and ceilings have splattered funk of some kind. Paint peeling, holes and chipped paint. Mildew and hard water stains. WiFi didn't work. The air conditioning blew out a foul smell but we had to keep it running because if we turned it off the room started to get hit and smell like feet and bad body odor. People were slamming doors and yelling in the halls and the people upstairs must have been amateur wrestlers. This place could use sound proofing. Apparently there are "tenants" here that live monthly. And they have personal items strewn throughout the motel. Went to get a soda and a man came out in his bathrobe walking the hall like it was his home and I was intruding. Then went to go out to my car to get an item and interrupted three individuals in a cloud of weed and quickly exchanging something in a handshake before rushing past me in the stairway. We will be at a different hotel tomorrow thank god! I tore the bed apart because the way this place is looking bed bugs would not surprise me at all!! We were forced to stay due to no rooms available in any other hotel in town. If the circumstances were different I'd have left immediately! We called every hotel after getting into the room trying to get the heck out of this nightmare.

Unfortunately I didn't look at the reviews before booking which I should have. We arrived and the night staff at the front desk wasn't the nicest and seemed like he had better things to do. After we got checked in, we went up to the room and my wife took off her shoes and noticed the floor was sticky. She thought it had just been cleaned so naturally could have felt sticky but was really just a little wet. Nope. Hours later it was still sticky. After staying in the room for a bit, it was time to get ready for bed and we went to arrange the room so our son who is 1.5 years old could be in his pack and play and be blocked so he can't see us (so he falls asleep without distractions). We went to move the couch and when we did, there were crumbs from who knows when underneath. Not just little crumbs, I am talking pepperonis, full French fries, chunks of bread, etc. immediately we called down to the front desk and they offered to move us to another room so we did. At 9:30pm. This was after blatantly asking 'are you wanting a discount or new room?' Once in the new room, we moved the couch again and noticed it hadn't been cleaned. We know this because we found the remote that had been replaced already. Also more crumbs. This room wasn't that bad though so we stayed. In the morning, our son was running around and the corner piece that protects the wall corner fell off randomly and crashed to the floor, luckily missing him. We tried putting it back on but it was useless. One last thing we noticed is the water is scorching hot. Don't let your kids at any age control the water temperature of the bath/shower/sink because it is hot enough to make a grown man cry. We won't be staying in this hotel any time in the future.

I'm going to summarize this review with three words…read more DON'T. STAY. HERE. I was in the process of documenting the pros and cons of this property, but I thought it was More important to just get right to the point. My first room was absolutely filthy. Dust everywhere, bits of food stuck to the nightstand. Inexplicable white liquid stains on the ottoman. Paper thin walls to the point where where you could hear the toilet flush next door as well as the scraping of hangers in the closet next door. The room had broken and worn furniture, appliance cords with visibly exposed wires. The linens on both beds were visibly soiled, and one of the box springs was visibly stained as well. This place has obviously seen better days. As if that weren't bad enough, I noticed what appeared to be mouse droppings on the floor of my first room. I immediately asked to be moved to another room and on the surface that room looked like it was much cleaner than the room I was first assigned to. However after pulling back the sheets and finding dead bugs on the mattress, it was time to go. There were two women working at the front desk during my brief stay: Kara and Nastacia. Kara was empathetic and genuinely seemed interested in helping resolve the situation. She offered to move me to another room and even accompanied me to do an initial inspection of the 2nd room to see if it met my needs. Her colleague Nastacia, however, appeared completely uninterested in assisting me in any way or otherwise helping me find a solution. When I first checked into the hotel, Kara was the person that I communicated my concerns to. However, when I returned to the front desk I noticed she was not there, so I began explaining the situation to Nastacia (since she was the only one behind the front desk) to see if she might be able to help. Before I could finish, Nastacia gestured for me to stop speaking so that she could go get her coworker. It wasn't the fact that she went to go get Kara that bothered me, it was the way she did it. Her demeanor made it clear that she wanted nothing to do with helping me. Additionally, throughout the entire experience she was so passive-aggressive. When Kara would try to suggest a potential solution (such as relocating me to another nearby Marriott property), Nastacia would mumble a critique about the decision, saying what she would have done differently. What I found particularly frustrating was that Nastacia never addressed me directly, even though both of them were standing behind the front desk. Instead, she spoke to Kara about me, and about the situation, as though I wasn't standing right in front of her. Rather than engaging with me as a guest, Nastacia chose to criticize the person who was actively trying to help me. It was incredibly frustrating, dismissive, unprofessional, and disrespectful. Ultimately, I asked Kara if the hotel could have my reservation changed to another Marriott property nearby. She informed me that that was not possible but she did a call nearby Marriott to confirm they had vacancy. I came back this morning to talk to the general manager (Samuel) but the manager on duty, Alba, was the only one available. She was very polite, very professional, and very empathetic. I appreciate the way that she addressed my concerns and I only wish she was on duty the prior evening. I think my experience might have been handled a little differently and with a little bit more empathy where she there. In short, this hotel is old, it's musty, it's filthy, it appears to have evidence of insects and vermin in the rooms and some of the staff seem not to care. I cannot state this strongly enough... DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.
