This wasn't a bad stay by any means and the location was great but this hotel was definitely not upkept the best. The bathroom and room was overall clean but the hallway carpets were beyond stained and I found a cigarette butt there. Also was something left under my nightstand along the very edge of the carpet. I don't know what it was and I didn't want to investigate. The breakfast was decent they had a few options. Also the staff was nice. The big turn off was the elevator smelled bad and it didn't go away it always smelled like feet and food. An odd combo. There was nice parking and a nice outside area. It was very busy so must be a popular hotel. I think they might just need to make a few updates. read more

This is a nice, clean hotel in the middle of plenty of shopping & restaurants. Location is a plus. The rooms are very nice and mine had the kitchen, bed & couch. There was only soap for washing your hands but also in the shower with shampoo (no conditioner) & body wash. There is a hair dryer. Since when did hotels get so minimal with bathroom items? Anyway, there is a small indoor pool, a few lounge chairs and a table with chairs. A small gym as well. There is free breakfast also. The person at checkin was super nice. I can't say enough good things about our stay here! Instead of trying to find someone to watch our dog for a night when our families aren't nearby, we wanted to bring her with us while visiting Field of Screams. This hotel was so welcoming and pet friendly and even gave us a bag of treats for her. She's a little nervous, so it was a great setup to be able to go from the elevator almost directly outside without taking her through a busy lobby. The room was modern and very clean with a wonderful kitchenette. Fast check in and out using the app. Great location close to a lot of things and easy parking! This is the face of a very satisfied customer - and her parents, too. Looking forward to staying here any time we visit Lancaster and will be looking at Home2 Suites in other locations when traveling. read more

I found this Home2 Suites to be clean and it's located across the highway from a shopping center with restaurants, which was a plus. Make note that the rooms at the end of the hall are a bit of a hike from elevator. The hotel is pet friendly, although I found the dog station to be out of bags on my stay. The bathroom in our room had a sliding door and once closed it would slide open a few inches and there was no latch to secure it. There was some fun background paper inside of the shelves on the wall which added a cheery pop of color to the room. Breakfast was included and it was the standard Home2 suites fare with several sandwich options, fruit and more. The hot water for tea didn't taste like old coffee, which we always appreciate. For outdoor seating there were two areas, one with lounging furniture and a fire pit that the staff could turn on, and this area had furniture with cushions that made for a cozy place to hang out for a while. We've stayed here a few times. It's okay I think parking could be better set up and my disability accommodations should be met. Here's my disability issues; 1. The laundry vent is pointed down from second floor at the entrance in direction of all the parking? So cheap toxic fragrances are spraying all over you! 2. Those damn side lit bathroom mirrors! I'm severely phototoxic. Fragrances that they are literally spraying on me before I figured this out land on my skin and react under light. Chemically burning me and making me completely intolerant to all light: natural and artificial. I requested twice that they turn off mirror light or cover them up, leaving the shower light. Apparently they refuse to do so without disclosing that to me! I fell into the toilet in a dark bathroom! 3. The indoor pool isn't being heated at all? I have been in this pool over the years and it always was heated makes me question how clean it is. You can do better! All disabilities mean I can not function in that way. Respect all disabilities equally! Mine is pretty easy to deal with! We had an okay stay here, it was nice to have the full refrigerator and ice machine close by, but the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes from the last guest. The air was pretty stuffy regardless of how we set the AC, but the bedding, shower, and two TVs were nice. The staff was all very welcoming as well. Parking was great and easy to get a spot very close to our room. It's right across the street from several restaurants and Whole Foods, which was useful for stocking up the fridge for our stay. I think our main complaints were how ice cold the pool was, and how it would be nice if the breakfast station could be open a bit longer, even if just for juice and toast or something quick. read more

Overall this was a good hotel room. With hotels I'm really only a snob when it comes to cleanliness, and this place was clean. The only thing I noticed was that the carpets were stained but other than that everything seemed fresh and sanitary. The location is great - lots of shopping nearby and places to eat. Breakfast was great each morning, they had breakfast sandwiches made, a waffle maker, muffins, bagels, cereal etc. I thought they did a decent job on breakfasts! The staff seemed great, everyone was nice to us. I have one complaint though and it's that the bathroom door slides and doesn't lock. It actually just kept opening constantly which was super annoying. But regardless of that, I would still stay here again for sure! read more

It was a really nice hotel. The rooms were very clean. Friendly & helpful staff. My only complaint was the small shower w/ a shower head that was not very flexible. You either had to turn the shower head toward the wall or shut it off completely to be able to bathe. There were quite a few places to walk your dogs, but one designated area was impossible to use since it was completely covered with a bunch of bushes. My husband didn't care for the spiders that were hanging from the ceiling in the entranceway but my husband is rather tall, I am not so it did not bother me at all. read more

Second part of vacation in a a different hotel. This hotel is very nice clean amd in a great area if you want to go shopping or have a nice dinner at night. Rooms are set up very nice with stainless steal refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. Canr forget the flatscreen tv. We were excited to be on the first floor which was right down the hall from where they do the comp breakfast which is very good. But that did not happen. When we got to our room the bed was disheveled and in the bathroom it looks like some one used the toilet because the toilet paper took was to the floor. So I went back the the front desk and spoke to the women thar checked us in. She called over the women who do the rooms to see if our room was done before we got here. But the women who checked us in remembered that another couples husband was in there for a bit and his wife wanted to be on a different floor. She said she can send someone in there to fix the bed for us which was nice but odd. Fixing it is not the issue if someone else was laying on or in it. Bit the on one women who cleans the rooms said for her she would feel more comfortable if we were moved to a room thar she knew was done 100% which I appreciated. She was very adamant about us being in a clean room which made me happy. So we got moved to the 3rd floor. There are 2 elevators. One was our if commission and was dining for hours. This is the new morning that we are hear and the dinging has finally been shut off. But all in all it's been a great friendly service so far from the people I have talked to and interacted with. read more

Let me start with the staff - they are a 4.5 - but probably understaffed or we'd not have had a double sized duvet on a king bed the first night. We could not figure out why we fought over the blanket the first night! It was a little like being short-sheeted, but on top. That is not a 'mistake' - it was a shortcut and lack of QA. Really annoying. Pillows and microfiber sheets - a 1. Awful. The design on the room - a 4 - we could stay there a week with plenty of storage and well-delineated spaces. Except ... why would you have bathrooms that don't latch? The pocket doors have no hooks and ours did not stay closed. And the bathroom lighting is not good for applying make-up. Breakfast - the service was great (a 4+) and the lobby a 3+ for comfort and cleanliness, but the food is a 2. After the first morning we went out, so it did not save us money or time. So all in all, it was a '3' star hotel. As much as we liked the room, I don't know if we'd stay again. The bedding (even when corrected) was really an issue. We don't need 1000 thread count sheets but we would like sheets not made for a dorm. read more

It is 12:45am and it sounds like there are 15 very heavy children in the room above us running around and jumping on the floor like it's a playground. VERY disappointing since it's a nice hotel. Not sure how we are supposed to sleep with the pounding and it's been like this since at least 10:30pm. Will not stay here again and plz consider somewhere else if you want a relaxing vacation and a good nites sleep. read more

We booked for the pool to swim in - sign is up pool closed. Kids ran up and down the hall all night throwing balls and running around.

The rooms are clean with a kitchenette for legnthly stays. Walk in shower...very European style...like Ikea but nice. We are here for the Thomas train experience with our young grandkids. read more

Great potential, but they rushed the opening Let me start with the positives; This is a nice new property, conveniently located to plenty of attractions, shopping, and restaurants. The suites are a great size, and ours included a kitchen as well. Nice high ceilings made the room feel even larger. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and accommodating. I noticed charging ports for your cell phone in the Lobby's seating area which was a nice touch. I also really liked that they have a fire pit and a grill on the property for guests to use. Okay let's get to the pitfalls. The first thing we noticed was that our bathroom doors (one led to the bedroom one to the living room area) did not lock. It seems that when the contractors installed the doors, they did not make the holes for the locks to go into. This wouldn't have been so bad if they were standard doors, however they were sliding doors, so they wouldn't even stay fully closed. Not such an issue if you're traveling alone, but once you add kids, pets, or others to your room, and your privacy is out the window. We also quickly learned, that the door separating our bedroom and living room area, also didn't fully close because the top of the door was slanted. Apparently the hotel knew about the problem with the bathroom doors since I was provided an explanation when I mentioned it to the front desk. Since we're talking about doors, I will note that the two closets only have curtains, so again, no way to put anything behind closed doors. We were only in the hotel for 2 nights, but on our second night, the fuse in our living room area kept blowing. We were able to flip the switch ourselves, but it must have blown at least 4 or 5 times before we just went to bed for the night. We did call down to the front desk, and were told they would check the main switches but that didn't fix the issue and we never received a return call. It was already after 9pm, both our kids were sleeping and we have a fairly large dog so having someone come to the room wasn't really an option, but it wasn't offered either. We had a pull out sofa bed, however there wasn't any bedding, or extra pillows in the room at all. The extra bedding I can almost understand, but I have always found at least two extra pillows in other hotel stay. Breakfast was included which is always nice, however it was a smaller selection than we typically get, and the waffle maker was broken the first morning. They do have an indoor pool, but it's rather small and could have been warmer. Then it was just small touches that I felt they overlooked, no pen and pad to write with, fairly bare walls....small things. Again, I have to say the staff was very friendly. The woman at breakfast helped me get drinks for myself and my girls, and was very apologetic for the issues they were having. At checkout I asked for a manger but he was unavailable, and again the front desk representative was very apologetic and accommodated us the best she could. The hotel is in good condition and a very convenient location across the street from a shopping center with lots of shops and restaurants. The staff was very nice. The 2 things everyone should be aware of are: 1)These hotels are billed as "suite hotels" but they are not. The room includes a kitchen area with a refrigerator, sink and dishwasher but there is not a separate sleeping area for the kids. It is the same as sleeping in a standard hotel room. 2) The pool is small, shallow and didn't work for part of our stay. read more

We absolutely loved our stay. The room was very clean and the staff super courteous! It was perfectly located next to good dining and shopping especially if you need a few things for your stay. There is a Whole Foods near by! The amenities, pool, fire pit, and using the grill to BBQ were awesome. We didn't get to use the BBQ but we will next time we go. PS the breakfast was on point! If you're planning on taking your family to this place I would advice you to take along a few lint rollers and check what your sleeping on. White sheets can be deceiving! I had a horrible experience there to the point I started itching. I asked for fresh linen, and when I started stripping the bed down the fitted sheet was covered with all kinds of hairs, human and animal hair. It had a bunch of black dots on it. God only knows what that was. It was all over that sheet. I took my lint roller and and took off as much as I could because I have bad allergies!. Then , I went downstairs and showed it to the desk worker. She pretended to care about my problem the next thing I know, I am being yelled at by the manager and she told me I had to leave by 2. I told her I am a disable person and I don't work at your speed. She didn't care to hear any of that. She just wanted me out. I went upstairs and did what I would and then I was thrown out of the hotel in the freezing cold. Oh by the way, I am a disable person I made that very clear and they all dismissed everything I said. Simply because I complained about a problem they have with their housekeepers who make the beds that paying customers like me have issues with. I was yelled at and accused of stealing a dirty pillow !. I even showed a video I made and pictures I took of the condition their towels sheets linen in general. I even saw one of the housekeepers dragging my bag containing my freshly "clean" sheets and such on the dirty carpet! I was locked outside my room by mistake so he didn't know it was me standing outside waiting til he got closer to me, then he lifted the bag when he saw me. When I brought it in it had a huge hole underneath! Again, I was told to leave because I complained about all of those things. They said :" we can't no longer comply with your demands. The gulls!! I'm paying for clean towels and sheets nothing is free there!!oh by the way, they were laughing at me as I was walking out... I wouldn't take a pig there! It would get offended!!! read more
