Great place to eat! The portions were generous, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the overall experience was fantastic.

I was shocked when I was charged $8.60 for a large black coffee....just regular brewed coffee with nothing added. I politely told the cashier that the price seemed extremely high, especially since even Starbucks doesn't charge that much for a plain black coffee. Instead of explaining the pricing, her response was, "Then go to Starbucks." The rude customer service was just as disappointing as the price. I used to enjoy stopping here, but after this experience, I won't be returning. If you're looking for good customer service and reasonably priced coffee, I'd recommend going somewhere else. read more

This was inside a gas station in Cooper City Commons, the same plaza where the Publix is located. Once you enter this gas station, the little restaurant is on the right side, with tables and chairs on site. Don't expect music playing, but there are two wide tv's at top, mostly sports like soccer and boxing. The lady, whose name was Sofia, at the counter was nice. She explained the menu as quick as possible as I made my choice. They serve Venezuelan style fast food. I opted for their arepas fueled with shredded beef with their greenish mayo based sauce that had hints of garlic and cilantro. I asked for everything included, so if you're not a fan of cilantro, you can ask them to omit the sauce or have it on the side. Under all that cheese, there was plenty of meat and it was yummy, but too much sauce to cover the actual taste of meat. It wasn't terrible, just okay. The price for this was not cheap, so it's not an everyday thing I'm looking to get. I also got their guanabana juice to complement with this meal, which was refreshing at least. Will I come back? I want to give this place a 3.5 but decided to round up to 4 because of the awesome staff and overall plenty of variety for Venezuelan food. Growing up my whole life eating Venezuelan food and now not having it since leaving the SoFlo area, it was awesome being able to go get some real quick. We totally missed it when we first went into the Publix plaza but then realized it was at the gas station. Cool! Don't let this gas station spot fool you because it was a whole vibe! We were super hungry and starving but most importantly craving Venezuelan food and basically decided to order the whole menu. It was our first time here, just 3 of us and we kind of over ordered but at the same time didn't. Needless to say, our bill was crazy: $80 for 3 people. At a gas station finger food spot. That's fine because I was ready for Venezuelan food and I didn't care. Staring off with the tequeños, they were huge and we ordered two orders of them. By huge I mean full of dough, dry, and not enough cheese like I'm used to. I was excited for the pastelitos, mandocas, fried arepitas, cachapas and pastelitos. Well: all a disappointment and let down. The only thing that didn't was the frescolita. So the mandocas (also huge) looked amazing and we're served with the cheese and nata. First bite seemed to be ok until you get that RANDOM cinnamon punch. Cinnamon??? In a mandoca??? Soooo unnecessary and threw off the whole thing. Next, the pastelitos with cheese and potato, the filling was AMAZING, but again, the dough was thick and dry like the tequeños. The cachapas, as much as I wanted to love them tasted like the premixed flavor. No corn or real corn flavor. The fried arepitas were also huge and way too much cheese. Fried cheese with regular thick cheese and a bunch of cabbage. First bite was good but honestly it was overpowering and we were not expecting them to be that huge. Two things I would really wish to see here: them warning us about the portions since we over ordered for 3 people and spent way too much for gas station finger food. Second: please take out the cinnamon in the mandocas, it throws everything off. What I do love, again, is the variety and being able to order almost anything here. From tetas to empanadas, pepitos to pastelitos, they do have it all. One last wish is to improve the Tequeño dough quality: the dough is too dry and too thick. This place is a hidden gem inside a gas station. I love their maduro patacon with carne asada. This time I tried something new which was also very good. I loved the shredded pork- it had great flavor. There's a few tables on the inside and was pretty clean. I def want to try something out of their hot case next time. read more

Great food. Huge portions. And there is a resident magician who made us laugh while we ate without being intrusive. It's pretty impressive that all of this comes for a very reasonable price and inside a gas station. The one thing I didn't really dig was the cachito (ham filled bread). Which was a letdown because it is a must for any Venezuelan place. It was rather soggy. My friend however had a pabellón empanada which he told me was one of the best he has had in the area. Now, I know a lot of people would be turned off by eating gas station food as I found in the past, sometimes the best food can be found inside of them. This was no exception. I had never had Venezuelan type arepas and I I'm now a huge fan. So many items on the menu but this stood out for me so I ordered a grilled steak arepa and took I grill chicken went home for my son. There were so many different textures and flavors on the arepa that my taste buds were going crazy. There was white cheddar, flavorful grilled meat, and pico de gallo all nestled in a delicious corn arepa. My son left his chicken arepa as well. Living in South Florida you can pretty much find arepas, empanadas and pastelitos anywhere. It's hard to find someplace that truly stands out.. until now. Super Arepa is in a gas station, which was my first clue that it was gonna be good. I'm giving only 4 stars because the cashier was not friendly and had an attitude when she realized I only spoke English. Didn't greet me, was short to answer and gave dirty looks the entire time. Greeted others with a smile. Besides the poor service, their empanadas were some of the best I've ever had! HUGE, crispy and fresh out of the fryer. I tried one of each flavor and wasn't disappointed! The arepas were good but honestly it was the empanadas that will have me coming back! Excellent, great, arepas. I got an arepa mixta with fries and I'm stuffed. Super authentic. I've had other arepas elsewhere but none as authentic as this one. The place is in a Shell gas station but they have their own area for sitting with about 6 or 8 tables. The service was good and the prices were fair. I went in ordering a cheese empanada in the morning (prime time) and the guy was like "no don't have any" - what do you mean you don't have any? You're a freaking breakfast place! Then he asks the "cook" if he put in the empanadas in the fryer and the guy said no and was just sitting there... doing nothing. Why didn't he hurry and put in the empanadas? Then he goes to say "if she'd gotten here 2 min earlier she would have gotten them". Dude! You're a fast food restaurant.... you need to be constantly refilling the warmer with empanadas, tequeños, etc. They only had pabellón empanadas and tequeños... pathetic. I've come here a few times & at first I was totally in love - awesome tasting cachapas and empanadas, not too in love with the Arepas. Then, on a few occasions black plastic remnants started to appear in my cachapas. I suppose from the pan. I asked for a new one when it became too much, without hesitation it was replaced and the new one STILL had them. It was a very uncomfortable experience... And disappointing after being so hungry. The tequeños & empanadas have been cooked in old oil on several occasions. There is nothing worse than that taste. I worked at a Venezuelan restaurant before and I quickly learned the taste of old oil. It tastes gross... Why??? The owners of this place have a great thing going on.... Great team members and menu, but somebody needs to step it and make sure excellent quality is their priority if they want to stay in business. Last night we ordered a super chicken arepa, a grilled chicken salad, and a chicken burrito. We had a few bites of each other's & shared the salad. The flavors of the food tasted great, but my burrito was packed with chicken, maybe a little bit of cheese and sauce. I like other stuff in my burritos (lettuce, salsa, pico de gallo, beans) and was a bit disappointed. Here's why I'm only giving it two stars: 1. We called in our order about 20 minutes before we arrived, then waited another 15-20 minutes once we got there for our food. It was packed, but having to wait that long after we called ahead was a bit annoying. 2. My husband has been up sick since 4am. So far I've only had stomach cramps so I'm not sure if I have a stronger stomach or if there was anything in his arepa that wasn't in my burrito.
