So I've been wanting to try this place out for a while now. I wasn't expecting it for t to be in a gas station but that makes sense, seeing how late the place is open. They have everything from empanadas to arepas to sandwiches. I ordered what is called a " pepito " and it's basically a meat sandwich with little potato chips on top with their special house sauces. I enjoyed everything I had and the price tag was also very affordable. My friend on the other hand got " mini arepas " with pulled pork and it was not his favorite. Tried to give this place a second chance, but despite saying they open at 6am, by 6:20am they had not 'opened the cash register' and the lady couldn't even take my order. Plus she said the kitchen was still not open, so it would be 20-25 minutes for any food. Imagine a business saying they open at 6am, but not able to sell anything until nearly an hour later. After the 5th or 6th time of being told they won't have arepas for an hour, or the kitchen isn't open or whatever other excuse, you wonder how anyone can run a business like this. Went here for the first time today since my brother had recommended it. It is located inside the Shell station so i was pretty surprised to find a place like this there.One word: HUGE!! these arepas are more than super...they are ginormous. I ordered the meat one with everything on it and you literally have to eat the rest with a fork because the meat does not fit inside the arepa. Overall i was pretty happy and lets say Full for the rest of the day. Will be coming again to try different things on the menu. Everything on the menu is great from their out of this world TEQUEÑOS that go excellent with the green garlic cilantro salsa verde sauce, their empanadas are the best empanadas (Venezuelan of course) I've ever had, and whether I want a fried plantain (patacón) sandwich or super arepa sandwich, their charred grilled meats never ever disappoint! The cachapas, pastelitos and burgers are great! If you're a vegetarian you have to try their tequeños, arepas or cachapas with cheese! If not, and you love your meat than you'll feel right at home! I called to make an order for delivery and the women who responded when I asked her if they have shredded cheese she just plain hung up on me like if she didn't want to take me order. Hidden gem in the Shell gas station. The arepas are good but for me the shining star is the Patacon. I get the shredded chicken one with sweet plantains. It's a "sandwich" made with flattened plantains as the "bread." It's suitable for people who are gluten free. It'll knock your socks off. At first I was skeptical about this place because it is inside a gas station but it is very clean inside, one of the cleanest gas stations ever. The girl that works there is always cleaning the tables and mopping so you know you're eating at a clean place. The food is AMAZING!!!!!!! I always order the patacon de pollo con el platano verde (green plantain chicken patacon). It is so good!!! The plantain is crispy while the chicken is savory and juicy and the green sauce is amazing! The picture doesn't do it justice, you just have to trust me when I say it's GOOD. I definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone. So good and so cheap. You get a lot of food for the price. The patacon combo with fries and a soda is $8.50. The food is great if they get the order correct. I placed an order for delivery late last night. My husband and I ordered a super Arepa and a super parrilla. I specifically said no pico de gallo in the super parrilla as my husband is allergic to tomatoes. Long behold my husband takes a bite and of course there is pico de gallo in the food. I also asked for extra green sauce on our orders and not one sauce. The last thing they got wrong with out order was I asked for a tres leche and received a Quatro Leche.
