The ladies who do threading here are like goddesses! Great customer service and the chairs when waiting are comfy too. My only complaints would be: for one, it's a little pricey. And two, I feel like they should have some sort of sign in sheet because they do get really busy once in awhile and at some points there are a ton of people waiting, so I feel like a sign in sheet would be helpful. Since the lights getting there can hold you up.( I was literally getting gas across the street.) I've been here several times. It's mostly good,but there is one lady who is terrible. Last time I went in she took a huge chunk from my brow I. The front. My hair is very Fair, so I didn't notice until I get home. It's been about two weeks, so it has grown in a bit, but I definitely still have to fill it in with makeup. I believe when she used The shears she took the chunk from my brow. It's ridiculously big. She had to have seen it, but she didn't say a think. She let me walk out with my wonky brow and let me find out later when I took a closer look. Listen, this place is not terrible, for the most part, but I won't be back... it's not worth the risk of playing Russian roulette and getting your eyebrow chopped off. I attached pictures. I like the quality of the work done to thread my eye brows and upper lip. The attitude of one of the employees seemed a bit off-putting while I waited to be attended, but luckily I got attended by the other employee who seemed a lot friendlier. The location is a bit complicated to get to on the upper level especially when you almost fall on the stairs from nothing being done about sitting water and jagged steps. read more

I was referred by a friend and the place is very nice and clean. I'm giving them 3 stars because I told the person that threaded my eyebrows that I do not like them thin and I came out with a thinner tail and arc part of my brow. I'll give them one more chance but this next time I'll make sure to take a picture of my full eyebrow to show them that is exactly (or close) how I want them to look. Needed a quick eyebrow fix and my usual spot(s) are 15-20 minutes away from me, so I decided to try this place out after reading some good reviews. I walked in and there was no one in there so I was assisted immediately by Maya. I asked for a clean up and overall, she did a good job. I felt like the communication and warmth for a lack of a better word, was somewhat not there though; there wasn't much of a greeting and welcome either. I had filled in my brows and was not able to take it off before I came in, so I tried to bring this up with her and ask if this would be a problem and/or if I or she could take it off, however I felt like she just dismissed this and asked me to sit down to get me through. I've had threading done before however this was the first time it was pretty painful for me; not sure if it was the thread, how fast she was going, or what, but my eyes became so watery that my liquid eyeliner half came off lol. Also, though I know "eyebrows are sisters, not twins", I feel like my right side is slightly thinner than my left, a small bit off the top of the brow might have even been missing as well :-( Maybe because my brows were filled in when she was threading, that it might have thrown her off somehow, I don't know, but that just goes back around to the communication bit. Anyway, like I said overall I thought my experience was okay and if I ever need a quick close-by fix, I know I can go here. read more

I have been to this location a few times. Every time I have gone it's somewhat backed up or disorganized. Today is the last time I ever go there. I had an appointment at 12pm. I walked in checked in and let one of the employees know I had an appt as well. 12:10pm and employee checks in people with no appointment or appointment after me. I asked her if she was going to be available to see me and she just ignored me. I had to ask again and also let her know if I should go elsewhere? She then asked me if I had an appointment and tried to look me up in her system. She was rude and not customer oriented what so ever. Why bother having a web booking appointment system if your business is not going to use it? I ended up walking out because it was a waste of time to try to figure out if I was going to get any service. Thank you to the customer who had an appt after me for offering your spot. It was generous, but who should have been offered is the business. Terrible customer service experience. read more

After have my brows raped by Brow Arc in June 2014, I grew them out for a year and came here. After having the same "I like them thick and just want them cleaned up" she preceded to removed almost everything. I knew something was wrong when it was so painful. She then showed me some pictures and I repeated that I didn't care about the pictures, that I didn't want thin, overarched brows. She told me that I'm just not used to them and said "yes, because it's not what I asked for." My experience in this shop pisses me off beyond belief. GO TO BEAUTY BY DOLLY!!! I went there because it has a lot of reviews. The opener of the store got there15 min late. She had 2 customers waiting in the doors, she let us in and patiently starts turning lights on, turning music, bla bla. We had been waiting now for about 20 min when she gets to me. Good service, nice person. I had to leave quickly because I had an appointment. When I get a chance to check my eyebrows. One was very nice and neat the other was missing trimming at the end of the corner of my eye and near the center. Not impressed. Not bad but not my best experience. She is very sweet and friendly, and always ensures to keep my brows thick, and with a shape that works with my features. oh my goodness, words can't describe how ecstatic I am about this place! Maya is the best, and I will most definitely be back... it's my new brow spot! Today was my first day getting my eyebrows threaded and Maya did an amazing job. It looks way more shaped then when I get them waxed. It was not painful like I read about but it takes a little more time then waxing. Overall, love love love! The shop is really clean and spacious. Customer service is great! (It was $12 plus tip for threading my eyebrows but totally worth it and they have stamp cards so after 7 visits you get a free thread). P.S. Zero stars. DON'T GO HERE!!! I've never posted on YELP but couldn't let this go I had an appointment Monday at 10 am. I arrived 10 minutes early and the doors were unlocked so I went into the reception area. An unmasked threader from another room rudely said they didn't open until 10 and for me to go outside and she would text or call me. Literally 10 seconds later she said it was ok to come in - she's still unmasked. I asked her to put on her mask, which she had to get from another room?! She didn't introduce herself or make me feel welcome, just barked orders. I have never been treated like this in a "professional" setting in my life. I got out of the chair and left. The technician needs to be fired and never should work in a customer service environment. I emailed the company immediately and asked for someone to call me and not surprisingly, I'm still waiting for a call, which I'm sure will not come. read more

Where are the great, nice people other reviewers are talking about? I was really excited to try this place as I needed my brows done badly & had never done threading before. Now after this experience I'm less than excited about it. I went in and the place was empty and ultra quiet except for one girl at the front desk. She didn't greet me she just stared at me until I told her I wanted my brows done. As soon as I told her, she went to the radio and started blasting it then walked over to a chair and just stood there staring at me. Guess I was supposed to know to follow her! Heck I didn't know if she was going to get someone else or tools or something that's why I didn't just follow her right away! So I sat in the chair and she asked me if I had been there before. I said no, then she asked me if I had my eyebrows threaded before and I said no. I am guessing those were just standard questions she has to ask because nothing ever came of them. There were no explanations of the process or their place, nothing, not another word about that. Then she just says in statement form "Clean-up." Thankfully yes, that is all I ever tend to get with my eyebrows, but I kinda would have liked to see the shape charts the other reviewers were shown just in case I wanted to change it up. Than boom out of nowhere she just starts. It felt weird and there were popping sounds (other then the blaring music) that were freaking me out. I wasn't sure if this was some sort of prep she was doing or this was the threading. After several times of her doing something and more popping I assumed this was indeed the threading. No pain, just a odd feeling. There were a couple of awkward moments of her saying "Pull your face" and "Opposite" and me not knowing what the hell she was talking about (in case you encounter this "Opposite" does not mean the opposite eyebrow, it means opposite hand positions). She then handed me a mirror and there were still several strays she missed. I asked if she could get those and she did wordlessly. After the next eyebrow there were even more strays this time. I asked if she could get them and she said "That is the tail". Um, okay. I kept looking in the mirror and it just really didn't look much different from when I came in. I asked again if she could just get a few hairs that were just haywire and she said, "That's the way your eyebrow goes" and just walked to the register. Okay! Guess it's time for me to leave (nope, it wasn't closing time, just 1 hr after they had opened)! My card got scanned on their credit card scanner on top of their ipad and she handed me the ipad and I saw a screen where I had to choose between a 20%, 25%, 30% tip. Since the service royally sucked I chose the 20% since it was the least amount I could give but it was still more than I would have wanted to give her. She then had me sign then went to turn off the blaring music and sat back down in the ultra quiet and did whatever she was doing before I walked in. No thank you, no come again soon, no have a good day... nothing. As soon as I got home I plucked the several stray eyebrows she would not get. Will I be returning? After this kind of service, I think not. read more

My daughter and I go to Super Brows almost every week to have our eyebrows done. (They grow fast, don't judge me! :) We just love it there. I went there yesterday. There were a few people ahead of me. I had to leave but came back hours later. Still a few people ahead of me but no problem. The place is clean, refreshing & smells great. Linda is AMAZING....this lady is such a hard worker & so honest. Now keep in mind I went there twice in one day & Linda has such a genuine attitude. I recently moved to the Chula Vista area and have been looking for a place to get my eyebrows done for months now. A little background, my eyebrows are SUPER light, so much so that if I don't use a powder to define them you can't see them. This usually means that when I get my eyebrows done they miss a lot of stray hairs since the little strays are even harder to see. However after visiting Super Brows my eyebrows are perfectly shaped with no strays anywhere that I can see. I even have a scar in one of my eyebrows that makes my eyebrows grow funny, but the woman working there must be magic because my eyebrow no longer looks misshapen in that area. When you first walk in the door it looks a little bare and when I went it was a little empty too. I think that is mostly due to the fact that it is newly opened and they don't have a large clientele yet. They have a chart with what kind of shapes they can do with your eyebrows as well as some information about threading for those women who have never had it done. VERY relaxing and informative atmosphere. Also this is the first time that I have ever been asked directly what shape I wanted before the threading started. I feel like many places assume they know what you want or only clean up your eyebrows instead of asking if you want a specific shape. I loved that because my eyebrows turned out great and exactly how I wanted them. Finally it was time to pay and I received a discount for it being my first time as well as a little perks card. You better believe that I will be going here enough to take advantage of those free threadings every 8th visit. Also referring 4 friends will be easy as they are already noticing how great my eyebrows look. read more

This is my second time here and the lady has messed up my eyebrows twice. The first time I didn't really know what I wanted so that was understandable. But the second time I explicitly told her exactly the shape I wanted before she started. She did one eyebrow and made it way higher than I had wanted which I specifically told her I didn't want. She then proceeded to argue with me and said she wanted to fix it which resulted in really thin eyebrows that still weren't the shape I had wanted. She then continuedwith the other eyebrow and made them uneven. The lady doesn't know what shape is good for your face and I don't recommend coming here at all. The ratings are only good because of the discount they give you if you rate them which is not worth the money at all. Don't be fooled. I will not be returning here ever again. read more

First off, this was my first time getting threaded. Holy.. this was very painful for me. I got the eyebrows waxed before, and someone told me to try threading. Waxing has never been painful to the point where I had to jolt from my chair like this place!!!! Waxing was always comfortable and barely painful for me. Anyways, it didn't hurt when she started to do my eyebrows, but towards the center/end it started to hurt more and more. I'm not sure if this was just because she picked up the pace because more people were walking in or if this is how it normally goes. So, I just went with the flow. She started on my lips and it hurt like a B!TCH. I told her that it was hurting me really badly and she just continued to keep up with the pace. It got to the point where I just couldn't sit still anymore and I jolted because I couldn't take it. She gets mad at me saying I could rip the string and says to just let her know when to stop. I told her it was hurting me a few times.. Her lack of communication throughout the entire threading was just nonexistent. It was my first time at that shop and it was my first time threading.. she didn't once explain anything to me or what to do. I only came here because of the good reviews. :/ At the end I was crying a few drops of tears and she just wipes it up as if she's use to cleaning peoples tears! She hands me a mirror and just smiles as if nothing was wrong and asks if I liked them! I just wanted to leave!!! I paid and went to the car and just thought, why the F do people do this?? This was one of the worst first experiences I've pretty much encountered. Did I like my eyebrows? My eyebrows are naturally shaped, so she only needed to clean them up. I could have done it at home or just waxing for less pain and no trauma! Will I come to this place again? No. I will try threading services at other locations and book people who are more qualified with the thread. Also, I wasn't on any medication or skincare product that leaves my skin sensitive. I've done waxing while being on Retina (by accident) and it was not even 1/4 painful as this experience! EDIT : Thanks for responding, but I went to another establishment for threading to see if it's just me having super sensitive skin or just the woman who did the threading. Anyways, the woman who did my eyebrows and upper lip was very experienced and didn't cause me any high amount of pain. The lips had some discomfort, but NOT anything like what I endured at your shop. She was also very kind enough, to pause in between threading the lip as it is expected to have some pain. She told me that usually when you feel pain in threading it is because of the threaders experience. UPDATE : 7/13/15 The owner contacted me via message asking if I still needed services done and that she see's that I haven't gone to any other place. I've gone to a few threading spots in PB and it does hurt, but definitely not to the extreme as I experienced here at this establishment. The women who threaded my face were very kind and took their time to work on my face. I'm glad you hired a new manager and want to kick out lousy workers! Good for you, though sorry. Threading costs $12. I purchased the $8 for $12 deal offered via Yelp. I believe that's for new customers only, but afterwards you get $2 off threading services for checking in. I asked for my brows to be cleaned up and shaped so I'd have a straight brow. The process was quick and I liked my results. My brows looked clean and not overly shaped. The person who did my brows was attentive and made sure that I got what I wanted. Most other places I've been to haven't been so attentive and have tried leaving me with uneven brows. Overall, the staff was nice and very friendly. Very clean and prices are decent. The only reason why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 would be that I found a few hairs below left eyebrow. I would assume that paying $19 for lip and brow I wouldn't have to go home and pluck my own hairs. read more
