Went here for the first time today five minutes after they opened and the closed sign was still up, but it was past 10 already so I went in. I went in for eyebrows and upper lip. The person I had kept breaking the thread while she was doing my eyebrows, at least three times, and honestly the sound of the thread breaking was kind of concerning. When I got home, the skin under my eyebrows were really red, they've never gotten that red before at the place I usually go to. I looked at my eyebrows again and noticed that one of my eyebrows was slightly thinner than the other. I also noticed that she missed some hairs. I only went here because my usual spot is closed on Monday and I have an even today. I don't think I'll be coming back. read more

The first time getting my brows threaded and this place sure has set the bar high. I was beyond pleased with the job they did on my brows. They are like masterpieces on my face. I used to think that my eyes or my smile were my best facial feature, but now its my brows-- thanks to Super Brows. Their store/salon is hidden in the Village Walk in Eastlake, right above broken yolk. You walk in and you find a simple clean salon. You are greeted by staff and asked if you have an appointment and what service you need. (PLUS, WALK-INS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME) You wait in a row of chairs in the next room. Sometime the line is so long you may have to stand, but it moves pretty quickly. Once its your turn you sit in a dentist like chair, hold your face in a certain way/position, they do their thing and you're off. I usually come by twice a month and get my eyebrows and my upper lip done. They have frequent punch card system to get you free service after 10 visits or so. Need masterpieces for Eyebrows? I just chanced upon this place, and it is a great find. Living in Otay is a long ways to go to National City or downtown Chula Vista for an eyebrow threading, but one day as I was parking by the Sprouts area, I saw their sign. I entered the salon and was greeted nicely by a man and a woman behind the front desk. I was ushered to the second chair and went about asking the lady to keep my brow shape but thread stray growths. Since my first experience and several ones after that I have always had good experience with the ladies here. For being a repeat customer, I get a card and after so many visits you get one free visit. I like the results of their threading. I've had a few cuts here and there but nothing that would not go away after several hours or so. They even ask me if I want to apply some soothing cream afterwards. I always say no, thank you. Since I am sensitive to facial products, I just tend to avoid any in general. Would I recommend to a friend? Yes, I would. And I did. I also like the fact that they are just right here close-by. Two stars only because the man in the front was nice and the place was clean. It's march and valentines day decorations were still up. There was one girl and she was not very pleasant sounding. I had a coupon handed to me outside of Trader Joe's and decided to try this place. I am so glad I did. Rosie helped me and she did such a great job. I ended up having my whole face threaded (which I've never done) and I'm so happy i did. I will definitely be back. Just as a side note I did have some red bumps on my face after she finished but I have very sensitive skin. After about an hour they went away so if you're not sure how you'll react just make sure you give it about an hour and you'll be fine. So I decided to go on trusty Yelp to find a brow salon nearby, which lead me to Super Brows! It is conveniently located in Eastlake Villages near Sprouts and upstairs from the Broken Yolk. Take the elevator upstairs and it leads you to a very clean and roomy salon. When I arrived, luckily, two customers were already paying, and I got seated right away. I told the sweet lady that it was my first time getting my brows threaded. She told me not to worry and that she will be as gentle as possible, which she was! My brows were clean and spotless, and the price is amazing! Don't forget to check in Yelp to get $3 off. Can't beat $9 for threaded brows. Unfortunately, being from Hawaii, the cheapest place to get brows threaded there is $17, so this place gets 5 stars for service and price from me! Granted that we didn't have an appointment but we were upfront when she asked that question. Both my son and I said that we didn't have an appt and yet she threaded our eyebrows. When it's time to pay, she asked that question again and we said that we didn't have an appt and yet she insisted that we said yes and really not so happy about it. I went on Monday 12/09/13. The owner was not there & she was really good. The woman working that day was a SLOB!!! The owner should replace her. She did not wash her hands. I can smell her lunch while she did my brows. Then she kept wiping off her runny nose with her hand EWWWW!!!! She kept breaking the thread! She does not know what the heck she's doing. When it's over, she took too much from the inner corners of my eyebrow, left too much unplucked, left lots of little wound on my eyelid & upper lid from the thread she kept breaking off!!! Dear OWNER, I would like to go back but not until you write here that you have hired & trained your people on proper etiquette. Tell them to WASH HANDS before touching people's faces & use a tissue when wiping nose. Geez why does she even have to be told this!!! Thanks! Sunday, I was in my car in front of Sprouts and saw their Sign way up high. What the heck? I thought. Let me see if they are open. I was greeted right away - no wait. The lady was So Friendly and took me back right away. I asked her how she learned to do this (ok, I'm ignorant) She told me she is from India and this is how they do their eyebrows there. --Well!! I have been coming to Super Brows for at least five years, but recently I have seen a decline in service. First, I did want to note that I will see anybody--as I haven't had many issues with a single threader in particular. However, the last two times I have come I had been cut by the thread underneath my eyebrows. So painful! The threading ladies have been doing their services much more quickly and aggressively, which leads to uneven brows and cut skin beneath the eyebrow. I am also disappointed that punch cards are no longer offered. I think I will be looking for a new place. So sad, this place was my favorite. I don't think it has been the same since Maya read more

I've been here several times. It's mostly good,but there is one lady who is terrible. Last time I went in she took a huge chunk from my brow I. The front. My hair is very Fair, so I didn't notice until I get home. It's been about two weeks, so it has grown in a bit, but I definitely still have to fill it in with makeup. I believe when she used The shears she took the chunk from my brow. It's ridiculously big. She had to have seen it, but she didn't say a think. She let me walk out with my wonky brow and let me find out later when I took a closer look. Listen, this place is not terrible, for the most part, but I won't be back... it's not worth the risk of playing Russian roulette and getting your eyebrow chopped off. I attached pictures.
