I usually don't do Yelp reviews, but I thought I should share my experience. I booked with Nalja and instantly regretted it. She left my eyebrows thinner and uneven. I asked her to fix the other eyebrow, she made it worse by trimming both of my eyebrows. I haven't gotten my eyebrows threaded in over a year, just to get them abnormally shaped & thinned. I made prior research on the website and yelp reviews, thinking this would be a good investment. Unfortunately, I was wrong and it was rather difficult to hide my distaste towards the service she provided. I'm extremely dissatisfied with the service I received. If you care about growing out your eyebrows and maintaining thick eyebrows, I highly suggest not booking with her! read more

This used to be my go-to eyebrow threading spot until my most recent visit. When I walked in, I was immediately told to come back in 20 minutes because the customer in the chair had just gotten there and asked for a lot to be threaded. So as I was walking out the door, 2 more customers passed me to come inside and I expected them to receive the same cold remark and leave to come back as well. As I was waiting in my car for about 5 minutes, I noticed the woman that was in the chair came down the stairs, and 5ish more minutes passed and the 2 other customers that passed me came down too! I was very confused; so I went back upstairs, only to wait in a line of 3 people in front of me. Once it was my turn again, the woman was still cold and mean in her requests for me to sit back and hold my eyebrows. So I have been going here for a while & the work is amazing! Last time I went it was with a different lady though & when I walked into the store it smelt like wet dog. I gave it the benefit of the doubt because It was raining. But once the lady started getting close & doing my brows the smell smelt even stronger. Like I hate to be the one to say this but they should make sure that their employees smell clean & are clean because they're getting close to you & I felt disgusted. It also didn't help that she was breathing super loud. She was friendly and knew exactly what my eyebrows needed specifically with shaping my brow with a scar. She was able to explain what she was doing and most importantly, sanitized her hands before and after working on me. She offered witch hazel before applying. Do not trust them with your eyebrows! I explained how I like my eyebrows, thick but clean, and she made them thinner! Then she said I was wrong and I just haven't done my eyebrows recently enough for me to notice. Wow. Eyebrows should be how the person wants them not how she feels about MY eyebrows. I don't remember her name but I wish I would have asked! Terrible to make her self feel better by making it seem like I was wrong. Like I haven't been getting my eyebrows done for over 10 years! I really liked how they did my brows the first time I went here so I've been sticking to this place for the convenience of it being close to my house and partly because I'm too scared to try a new spot. They do a decent job every time, sometimes my brows turn out better than other times, but overall I'm usually pretty satisfied with how they turn out. I only get my brows done here and it's $10 which I think is a fair price. I usually get the same 2 ladies, not sure what their names are but I get good service every time. They also have a stamp card where after 7 threading services, the 8th one is free! It's a good deal if you're from the area and plan to come here often so make sure to ask for one! I've been coming here for 5+ years. Majority of the time my eye brows come out nice but a new worker over-threaded my brows and made them crooked. Luckily Sara was able to fix it and didn't charge me. After letting them grow out for 4 months, i went back and had Sara reshape and clean them up. The brows are almost back to normal. (: Bad experiences happen but not too bad for ONE time out of the 5+ years going there Tip: make an online reservation. I recommend Sara. You can walk in but it could be a long wait. read more

Suggestion: if you're not going to take walk ins, change your yelp information and put a sign on your door making that professionally clear. If I could leave 0 stars I would, and i have never left a positive or negative review on Yelp before this. My sisters and I have been coming to this location for months because we generally always enjoy the results. Today, we walked in without an appointment and were scolded by one of the employees (who now refuses to disclose their name but I think it was Najla) saying, "I told you before you need to have an appointment". I understand this much, and as a walk in I was ready to wait until after any appointments. But she was extremely rude and chastising right off the bat, and it caught me completely off guard and is unacceptable. When I called back to ask who I had spoken to, they refused to give me any names and hung up on me. When I tried to call back (with separate numbers) they hung up on me 5 different times. This business is supposed to be run by adults, not old teenagers who are hanging up on their customers to avoid accountability. read more

This is my first time EVER posting a Yelp review but I had such an unpleasant experience that I had to leave a review. First, Najla's customer service was horrible. She was very rude and unfriendly. Did not ask me how I wanted my brows to be done. The only words that she spoke during the appointment was "sit" and "hold." My eyebrows ended up being much much thinner than what I wanted. Then, she only spent a TOTAL OF THREE FREAKING MINS on threading my eyebrows... I been to multiple threading places and this is the first time that they spent so little time on my eyebrows. It felt very rushed and careless. Then after she was done, I asked if they had any aloe or witch hazel to put on my brows (since the other threading places I been to always offered after), and she said they have witch hazel. She ended up just squeezing it onto a cotton pad and handed it for me.. to put on myself!? I have never had a place make me put the gel on myself after either! AND to make things worse... while I started putting the gel on myself, she was looking at herself in the mirror while fixing her OWN eyebrows with a q-tip... like wtf To think I paid a whole $15 for this type of service and for her to spent ONLY 3 min on my brows. I'm never returning here again and will stick with my usual place. read more

This is my go-to eyebrow place. I always try to get my eyebrows done by Bahar. Definitely recommend her! She always gets my eyebrows to look similar and shapes them they way I like. She also threads my eyebrows really fast which imo lessens the pain. I gave them 4/5 stars because there are other times when another lady did my eyebrows a few times and she never listened to the way I wanted them and would be upset when I would tell her to fix something after she finished threading my eyebrows. read more

I LOVE this place. I have been coming here for 4 months now and I'm never disappointed. I usually go in the morning so I don't wait too long for my turn. The ladies here do an amazing job. My eyebrows are finally starting to look like twin sisters instead of cousins thanks to Maya and the girls. I really liked how easy it was to book my appointment. But I did not have the best experience for my first time here... I went in for an eyebrow threading service and asked Najla to just cleanup my brows because it was my first time going to someone new since my original lady (Aaliyahs Beauty and Brows) closed down. Najla was very quick and the service was very affordable, but unfortunately she did trim too much off of my right eyebrow, making my eyebrows two different sizes. I know eyebrows are going to be different as usual, but I have a gap in my eyebrow. This was my first time that someone messed up my brows and I was very sad because I don't do makeup, I particularly put clear brow gel on my eyebrows because I have a nice shape. When I exclaimed to Najla about the mistake, she did not comprehend what I was saying. The issue was that she put a gap in my eyebrow, but she continuously blamed me for wanting "a cleanup" and for me having "curly" brows... Overall, I feel like if she just took responsibility from the jump and apologized, I would've felt a lot better; but since she continuously blamed me and did not apologize, I have to give this store a 1/5... read more

I no longer live in San Diego but whenever I make the drive down from Los Angeles, I ALWAYS make time to get my brows done here. Since I'm usually a walk-in, I have had several different technicians take care of my brows and all of them do a very good job (which is why I keep coming back).
